AEW World Championship Match– Chris Jericho(c) vs Jon Moxley
Chris Jericho welcomed Jon Moxley to AEW with open arms, offering him a top spot alongside him. After weeks of mulling things over Moxley put one over Le Champion and The Inner Circle by agreeing to join them only to turn on them a few minutes later. No one shatters a champagne bottle on Jericho’s head and gets away with it. The GOAT targeted Moxley’s eye and injured it to the point where he’s been wearing an eye patch ever since and it could become a factor heading into their Championship match at Revolution. Things really got out of control at their weigh in this past Wednesday on Dynamite in which Moxley headbutted The Champ and busted him wide open requiring seven stitches. The time for talking has ended and it’s time to get it on, although Moxley may be fighting an uphill battle with not only Jericho but with the Inner Circle tonight.
Prediction– #AndStill Chris Jericho #LeChampion
AEW Tag Team Championship Match– Kenny Omega & Adam Page(c) vs The Young Bucks
What a difference a few years makes as far as “The Elite” are concerned. All Elite Wrestling has taken flight and those innocent days of sitting on rocking chairs at the local Cracker Barrel are long gone. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are AEW EVP’s while Hangman Page has become more distant from the group, hinting that he’s wanted to break away from the group and be on his own. After losing to Chris Jericho at All Out for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, Hangman Page has gone from innocent and happy go lucky to more of guy who has a tremendous chip on his shoulder. The irony for Page is that now he’s a tag team champion with a man that he’s never really had a true relationship with in Kenny Omega. Enter The Young Bucks, who are next in line to vie for those AEW Tag Team Championships, had a face to face with Omega and Page , Countdown to Revolution. The blood boiled over when the Bucks let Page have it, calling him a Ring of Honor jobber before they met him. Those words triggered Page’s resentment for the duo even more because he feels the Bucks want to hinder his success stating, “the second I become a tag team champion you want to take it away.” Things just aren’t the same with The Elite whether it’s jealousy or personal animosity, frustrations will definitely be coming to a head at Revolution.
Prediction– Kenny Omega & Adam “Hangman” Page
Mentor vs Protege– Cody w- Arn Anderson vs MJF w- Wardlow
The most personal storyline in AEW comes to a head at Revolution. In a match between mentor and protege every fan in Chicago wants Cody to give MJF a good old fashion ass kicking. After everything that MJF has put Cody through in the last few months the AEW fans smell blood, but we don’t think this the end of this feud but just only the beginning. From ten lashes to steel cage matches this feud has seen it all and the fans are very emotionally invested. If there’s one match that’s going to pull at the heart string it’s going to be this one.
Prediction– Cody
AEW Women’s Championship Match– Nyla Rose(c) vs Kris Statlander
The reign of “The Native Beast” has just begun. After defeating Riho for the AEW Women’s Championship, Nyla Rose has made it perfectly clear to the women’s roster that she’s never losing her title. Kris Statlander has stepped up to the plate and will be a tough test for Rose. Statlander has the ability to match The Champ’s power and is walking into this match at Revolution with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Will Kris Statlander dethrone Nyla Rose tonight?
Prediction– #AndStill Nyla Rose
Dustin Rhodes vs Jake Hager
Jake Hager finally makes his AEW in-ring debut at Revolution and he’ll be facing a man with retribution on his mind in Dustin Rhodes. It was at the hands of Hager that Dustin got his arm smashed in by a limousine door. Now a rejuvenated Rhodes has called out Jake Hager through actions and words calling Hager “Chris Jericho’s bitch” Will the Bellator prize fighter make Dustin eat those words and win his debut match, or will Dustin prove that age is just a number and pull of a shocker? We will definitely find out at Revolution.
Prediction- Jake Hager
PAC vs Orange Cassidy
There’s no question of just how “over” Orange Cassidy is in AEW, but to purposely try to get on the bad side of PAC after losing in a 30 minute Iron- Man Match to Kenny Omega is outright insane. Does Cassidy have a death wish? PAC will look to take out all of his frustrations out on Orange Cassidy at Revolution or will “The Bastard” get freshly squeezed by the “Orange One” and Best Friends.
Prediction- PAC
Darby Allin vs Sammy Guevara
Two of AEW’s brightest stars are set to square off in at that could steal the show at Revolution. Sammy Guevara is clearly the future of The Inner Circle and a star on the rise, while Darby has clearly become a fan favorite with his intensity, toughness and grit. Guevara put Allin out of commission for a few weeks after using a skateboard to injure Darby’s throat now a fully healed Allin is looking for payback in Chicago at Revolution. It’s a simple storyline and it just works! The payoff will be a truly memorable match for the AEW faithful.
Prediction- Sammy Guevara
The Exalted One To Debut at Revolution? – Who can it be?
The Dark Order has been teasing us for weeks about revealing the identity of “The Exalted One” will we find out tonight? Will it be a member of the AEW roster or will it be someone from outside the company. Signs point to us finding out tonight at Revolution.
Prediction– Raven
