He’s only been making the WWE Universe “Glorious” since his NXT debut in 2016, but Bobby Roode has been honing his in-ring craft for two decades. In fact, his journey began 20 years ago today when he had his first match.
The Glorious One took to social media to commemorate the milestone with a throwback pic, depicting a fresh-faced (and blond) Roode side-by-side with a more recent photo of himself holding the United States Championship.
June 19 1998 was my very first pro wrestling match. It’s been an amazing 20 years in this business. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today! #Glorious pic.twitter.com/3EN0UWogZ4

Last night, Roode noted in a WWE.com Exclusive that, after coming up short in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, his Raw victory over Curt Hawkins marked the “start of something absolutely Glorious.” What might that mean? To find out, tune in to Raw each and every Monday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.
