As one half of The Bar and part of the SmackDown LIVE roster — aka “Team Blue” — Cesaro’s actions in the ring are, in soccer terms, often worthy of drawing an official’s red card. However, The Swiss Cyborg and diehard “footy” fan behaved as good as gold in Philadelphia Wednesday night, attending an International Champions Cup match and meeting as a guest of Italy’s famed Juventus Football Club S.p.A.
The Turin-based Biaconeri (“Black and Whites”) were in Philly’s Lincoln Financial Field to go toe-to-toe with Germany’s FC Bayern Munich. Before the high-profile friendly matchup — which Juventus went on to win, 2-0 — Cesaro was presented with a personalized jersey sporting the number “7” (some may recognize that number also belonging to Juve’s latest acquisition, Cristiano Ronaldo) before he met with members of Juventus, most notably the club’s mascot, Jay.
Both Juventus and Cesaro took to social media during the match to express their mutual admiration and appreciation. And check out The Swiss Cyborg’s Instagram story about his visit here.
