The first two episodes of Mythic Quest Season 4 are now available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+. We had the chance to catch up with stars Danny Pudi and Imani Hakim to learn what Dana and Brad are up to and what’s next for this unlikely duo.
Danny Pudi and Imani Hakim Mythic Quest Interview
Imani, Dana has gone through a lot since we first met her. She went from being a tester to now queen of playpen. This season, she’s learning to budget, she got engaged, and she’s inspiring the next generation of female coders, whether she likes it or not. What is her headspace this season? And how do you find yourself relating to her as a woman in that space that is also inspiring the next generation?
“Picking up from season three, I think her headspace was just what do I need to do to show up for myself? And that was like the question she was grappling with. We left her with taking a leap of faith by teaming up with Brad and Jo. And season four, she’s just really embraced that change. So now I think the headspace that she’s living in now is just boss mode. She’s kind of being a little bit selfish and rightfully so because you got to make some sacrifices to climb the ladder in a way. But also trying to find that work life balance and nurture her romantic relationship with Rachel.
She’s being a boss at work and also trying to be the best partner she can be with Rachel and finding new ways to adult and be financially responsible, which I can relate to all of those things in my personal life, just the evolution of balance and finding your way through it with grace.”
Mythic Quest Season 4 Review: MQ Is Back and Better Than Ever
Danny, we thought Brad might be turning over a new leaf with season three, but he proved again, Brad is going to Brad. Was it fun for you to have him return to form? What does he really think about David getting the better of him?
“Brad being Brad is so fun for me. Brad’s been on a journey. He’s been on many journeys, many twists, and I think he’s always trying to find an angle. He’s sneaky and this pairing is really nice because I think he finds himself unexpectedly in a teaching role. But he’s unwilling and deep inside, he’s got a lot of unresolved issues that he’s working through. I think he finds himself his own worst enemy. This season kind of has this whole journey for him questioning what does he value most? Is there something more valuable than money in Brad’s world? I don’t know if there is.”
