An amazing episode of NXT will feature Wolfgang challenging Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK Championship, NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen making their first title defense against Wild Boar and Mark Andrews, and Amale colliding with Blair Davenport.
Ever since doing the unthinkable and ending the 870-day reign of Gunther, Dragunov has engaged in memorial title slugfests with the likes of A-Kid, Roderick Strong and Jordan Devlin (twice), often enduring tremendous physical punishment and mental anguish but always leaving with his cherished championship.
Nevertheless, he’ll receive yet another stiff challenge from Wolfgang, who hopes to bring even more championship gold to Gallus after watching his comrade Mark Coffey capture the NXT UK Heritage Cup from Noam Dar just two weeks prior.
Though all three Gallus members have gone in somewhat different directions, The Last King of Scotland has nevertheless won each of his last two matches, joining forces with Damon Kemp to knock off Dar and Sha Samuels before also defeating Samuels in a singles bout.
Who will emerge from the grizzly title fight with the NXT UK Championship?
Speaking of highly anticipated championship collisions, Briggs and Jensen face the first threat to their reign when they defend their NXT UK Tag Team Title against the new duo of Mark Andrews and Wild Boar, who recently joined forces after discovering that they had common enemies in Symbiosis.
Plus, in a critical matchup that could go a long way toward determining who earns a future championship bout, Amale and Davenport are set to lock horns in what should be a pull-no-punches brawl.
Check out all three highly anticipated matches and more on NXT UK, streaming Thursday at 3 ET/8 BST on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else!
