When we last saw the Briscoe brothers a few weeks ago, Jay informed Mark that he didn’t want to be his tag team partner anymore. That angered Mark, who ordered Jay off his property.

So what’s next for the Briscoes?

Can their relationship be repaired? Will they go their separate ways? Will they wrestle each other again?

We’ll have a better idea as to the Briscoes’ future this weekend. Expect a big announcement regarding the Dem Boys on the forthcoming episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Speaking of the Briscoes, with Father’s Day coming up on Sunday I couldn’t think of a better guest for the ROHStrong Podcast than the patriarch of the Briscoes, Papa Briscoe.

The highly entertaining episode drops Monday morning on ROHWrestling.com and most podcast platforms.

Matt Taven’s recent challenge to any member of The Righteous has been answered.

The former ROH World Champion will take on Dutch on Ring of Honor Wrestling the weekend of June 26. It will be the in-ring debut for Vincent’s mysterious monster.

Taven has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury in a backstage attack by The Righteous last month.

Honor Nation has been asking for another Pure wrestling gauntlet match, and the ROH Board of Directors is giving the fans what they want.

The match will be shown exclusively on ROH’s YouTube channel on Thursday, June 24. The participants will be announced soon.

The winner of the match undoubtedly will move up in the Pure rankings and possibly be in line for a shot at the Pure Championship.

The first-ever Pure wrestling gauntlet match took place last March and was won by Fred Yehi.

So much for there being honor in violence.

Violence Unlimited’s Chris Dickinson and Homicide attacked ROH World Tag Team Champions Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus of The Foundation backstage after their successful title defense against La Faccion Ingobernable’s Dragon Lee and Kenny King on Ring of Honor Wrestling last weekend.

The attack may have backfired on VU, because it lit a fire under “Hot Sauce” and “The Professional.”

“You’ve been fighting without honor the whole time, and we’re done clutching on to our beliefs,” Williams said. “We’re done dying, falling on our swords. That’s not how you win a war. So we’re going to set the battlefield on our own terms. You want a fight without honor? We’ll give it to you. And let’s see how you fare when we know what we’re walking into. Because we know we’re walking into war and we’re coming for blood.”

In last week’s Eck’s Files, I praised ROH Board of Directors member Maria Kanellis-Bennett for putting aside her personal feelings and granting The Righteous’ Vita VonStarr’s request to be in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament this summer.

On this week’s Women’s Division Wednesday on YouTube, Kanellis-Bennett did it again. Even though she has had her issues with The Allure, Kanellis-Bennett gave a ticket to gold for the tournament to The Allure’s Mandy Leon.

Nicole Savoy also received a ticket to gold, much to the delight of the many ROH fans who were asking for her to be in the tournament.

Savoy has competed in several matches in ROH over the past two years and scored victories over former world champions Angelina Love and Sumie Sakai.

If I have to pick a favorite to win the tournament based on the participants announced thus far, I’m leaning toward Savoy.

I’m very happy Dalton Castle has gotten his mojo back. The flamboyant former ROH World Champion is arguably the most entertaining performer in ROH.

However, I could have done without him coming to ringside during the Survival of the Fittest qualifying match between Eli Isom and Dak Draper on Ring of Honor Wrestling last weekend.

Castle’s presence was a distraction for both men and he stole the spotlight from them in one of the most important matches of their careers.

Castle’s sudden fascination with Isom and Draper remains a mystery. When Isom and Draper wrestled in April, Castle entered the ring after the match and kicked both of them in the family jewels.

This weekend’s loaded episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling is headlined by the huge Triple Threat Match for the ROH World Television Title between champion Tony Deppen of Violence Unlimited and former champions Lee and Williams.

Also on the show, Bandido faces The Righteous’ Bateman in a Survival of the Fittest qualifying match.

Bateman has said that if he wins SOTF and goes on to capture the ROH World Title, he’ll hand it over to Vincent.

If that scenario were to happen, I don’t think the ROH board members would allow it. I believe they’d adhere to the DiBiase rule that was established in another promotion in 1988.

The final SOTF qualifier, which pits Danhausen against Titus, takes place on ROH Week By Week, which premieres Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern on YouTube.

The winner of those two matches will join Demonic Flamita, Brian Johnson, Dickinson and Isom in the six-way SOTF elimination final on Ring of Honor Wrestling the weekend of June 26.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say how incredibly excited I am about ROH returning to the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia for two nights of Glory By Honor on Aug. 20-21.

The atmosphere in the iconic building on South Swanson St. is second to none when ROH is in the house.
