Faction warfare raged in ROH in 2021, and Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor, Moses and Kaun of Soldiers of Savagery and O’Shay Edwards) emerged as the victors.
STP began the year by winning the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title from MexiSquad in February. They successfully defended the title against rival factions La Faccion Ingobernable and Violence Unlimited, and they defeated another rival faction, The Foundation, in an eight-man tag match.
STP went on to hold the six-man tag belts for 10 months and made 10 successful title defenses. STP members also made an impact in other divisions.
Taylor was a top contender in the ROH World Title rankings for most of the year, and SOS appeared to be on the verge of winning the ROH World Tag Team Title from LFI (Dragon Lee and Kenny King) before Bestia del Ring interfered.
For the first half of the year, STP consisted of Taylor and SOS, but Edwards, an up-and-coming powerhouse, was made a full-fledged member of the group after his impressive, hard-fought win over Sledge in a brutal no-disqualification, no-countout match.
