In the main event, Moose narrowly escaped the Broken Rules match against Matt Hardy with his TNA World Championship intact. Just when it looked like Matt Hardy was going to prevail, Moose pulled Rebecca Hardy into harm’s way, causing Matt to drive his own wife through a table. Capitalizing off the destruction, Moose would put Hardy away with a devastating spear. After the dust had settled, The System decided to add insult to injury with a post-match assault on Matt and Rebecca Hardy, Nic and Ryan Nemeth, and Joe Hendry – until Matt’s brother, Jeff Hardy, made his shocking return to TNA Wrestling. Hardy would turn the tide of battle, taking out The System and standing tall with his allies to end the night.
Following the controversial conclusion to the NXT Women’s Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez at Battleground, Grace would look to bounce back in a Knockouts World Championship Open Challenge at Against All Odds. It was another history-making moment as WWE NXT’s Tatum Paxley answered the call, a bold move after playing a role in Jordynne’s defeat to Perez this past Sunday. As Ash By Elegance also watched on from ringside, Grace would overcome Paxley to retain the Knockouts World Championship. After the match, Grace gained a measure of revenge on Ash as she soaked her with her own bottle of expensive champagne.
