Johnny IMPACT became World Champion at Bound For Glory in New York City. It was a special night for IMPACT and the following Thursday, IMPACT promised to be a fighting Champion. However, IMPACT needs to find a balance and not stretch himself too thin. That very issue happened to another former IMPACT Champion, Drew Galloway.
We look at the timeline of Johnny IMPACT now. We start with Bound For Glory and the Championship victory of Johnny IMPACT and the beginning of his championship reign.
Now, Johnny heads to Las Vegas and while his title won’t be on the line, IMPACT steps into the ring with a former X-Division Champion in Matt Sydal. So there is no rest for the World Champion! Is IMPACT going too hard? Is he pushing himself too much as World Champion? It is an interesting question. What is the right balance? How many matches should Johnny IMPACT have this quickly into his Championship reign? Should he allow himself to heal up any lingering wounds?
We reached out to several veterans of the ring to get their opinion and the funny commonality we found from each of them is that wrestlers like to wrestle and the constant wrestling actually makes them feel better. That stepping away from the ring for even a short amount of time has a negative affect on their bodies more so than being in the ring every night, it keeps them loose.
Johnny IMPACT has been traveling and now has just a few days before facing Matt Sydal on Thursday night in Las Vegas.
