Andre Chase delivers a lesson on grit in shocking victory over Quincy Elliott
Damon Kemp def. Dante Chen
Damon Kemp kept his hot streak rolling in a thrilling showdown with Dante Chen. Looking to get back on the right track, the Singaporean Superstar attempted to grapple with Kemp, but the former Division I standout quickly took Chen to the mat before launching him across the ring with a Gutwrench suplex.
Chen battled back, isolating Kemp’s leg and locking in multiple submission attempts to wear down his opponent. After kicking his way out of the hold, Kemp rolled up and leveled Chen with a shoulder tackle and a rolling slam before hoisting up Chen on one leg to deliver a massive running powerslam for the pinfall.
Arianna Grace def. Amari Miller
Making their first ever appearances on NXT Level Up, Amari Miller and the debuting Arianna Grace gave the NXT Universe in attendance quite the show. The veteran Miller showed the rookie the ropes with a quick takedown before trying to knock Grace off her feet with a running tackle, but the powerful Grace was unmoved withstanding a dropkick by Miller and flipping the Kansas City native end over end.
As Grace looked to take control with an arm submission, Miller rolled her way out and dropped Grace with a pair of clubbing blows and a devastating kick for a two-count. Miller then went for her patented jawbreaker but Grace caught her and rolled up Miller for a quick small package and a surprising 1-2-3 to earn the victory in her debut.
Andre Chase def. Quincy Elliott
Cheered on by a raucous student section, Andre Chase squared off against the charismatic up-and-comer Quincy Elliott. The powerful Elliott taunted Chase in the opening moments, flattening him with a splash after a failed powerslam attempt from the founder of Chase University.
Elliott continued to mock the student section as he picked apart Chase with a sidewalk slam for a nearfall, but the chants from his students fired up Chase as he turned the tide with a few well-placed right hands and a boot to the face of Elliott.
After Chase climbed to the top rope for a stellar cross body, he stomped out Elliott to the chants of the crowd and, in a move reminiscent of Hulk Hogan against Andre the Giant, somehow hoisted up Elliott for a shocking powerslam and the pinfall victory.
