Javier Bernal def. Bryson Montana
The hulking Bryson Montana looked to use his strength to overpower Javier Bernal, but the veteran experience of the NXT Level Up mainstay quickly flipped the momentum against the debuting Superstar.
The two up-and-comers traded blows as Montana tossed Bernal across the ring with a sidewalk slam. Bernal fired up and showed the rookie a thing or two with a pinpoint dropkick and a Russian leg sweep before catching Montana with a pair of knees to the face to earn a pinfall victory.
Ivy Nile def. Yulisa Leon via Submission
Ivy Nile showed no hesitation against her much taller opponent, immediately locking up with Yulisa Leon in an aggressive struggle for the early advantage. Nile attempted to make Leon tap in the opening minutes with an armbar, but the Mexican Superstar powered out to deliver a series of stiff right hands and pin attempts.
The two Superstars exchanged submission holds in the center of the ring until Nile created some space with a devastating neckbreaker. Leon went right after “The Pitbull” but it only seemed to fire up Nile as she responded with a flurry of kicks and a running right hand in the corner.
Leon reversed a powerbomb attempt into one of her own but as she went for the cover, Nile rolled up and locked in her dragon sleeper to force Leon to tap out.
Josh Briggs def. Quincy Elliott
With Brooks Jensen cheering him on at ringside, Josh Briggs locked horns with the charismatic Quincy Elliott, knocking the massive Superstar off his feet with a pair of powerful elbows and rights.
Elliott halted the momentum with a knee and a flurry of his own right hands before squashing Briggs in the corner with a splash and a snap suplex for a near fall. Briggs tried to take Elliott off his feet with a shoulder tackle but instead ran into a brick wall as Elliott took the brunt of the charge and flattened Briggs with a splash in the center of the ring.
Elliott continued to hammer Briggs while grandstanding for the NXT faithful in attendance. After being slingshot into the corner multiple times, the battered Briggs rolled out of the way of a sit-down corner splash and rallied with a big boot to take Elliott off his feet.
Briggs kept his foot on the gas with a sidewalk slam and a standing splash, firing up for a monstrous clothesline to earn a hard-fought victory over Elliott.
