Noam Dar def. Alexander Wolfe in an NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament First Round Match
Pete Dunne served as special guest referee and The BruiserWeight wasn’t shy about asserting his authority, though it also proved pivotal in the match’s result. The former NXT United Kingdom Champion caught Noam Dar using the ropes for extra leverage during a pinfall attempt in Round 5 and punished him accordingly, kicking Dar’s arm. Dar responded by looking for the Nova Roller on Dunne, but he instead blasted Alexander Wolfe as The BruiserWeight ducked out of the way and had no choice but to count Dar’s pinfall on Wolfe for the 2-1 victory.
Wolfe took issue with Dunne’s officiating afterward, screaming at Dunne and attempting to strike him before they exchanged blows. NXT United Kingdom Champion and Wolfe’s Imperium leader WALTER joined the fray to back Wolfe up, but he wasn’t the only one. No. 1 Contender Ilja Dragunov also hit the ring before WALTER could powerbomb Dunne, and The Mad Russian helped The BruiserWeight fight off both Imperium members, causing them to retreat.
