In an emotional Instagram post, Rey Mysterio shared that on Monday, he visited the grave of his longtime friend Eddie Guerrero for the first time since the WWE Hall of Famer’s passing in 2005.
Mysterio wrote in his caption that he had difficulty making the trip to Guerrero’s final resting place in Scottsdale, Arizona, due to the strong memories from the day of his passing. Although Rey was bombarded with powerful emotions during his visit, he left feeling a strong connection to his longtime friend and tag team partner.
“Eddie has been such an inspiration not only to me but to many & will always continue to do so,” Mysterio wrote. “I witnessed that day, that future wrestlers who never had the opportunity to meet him took the time to stop by and pay their respects wishing they would [have] had the honor and privilege to have met him & been around him like many of us did! I truly miss you WeeWeeto!”
