ROH TV Preview: Foundation, La Faccion Ingobernable, Violence Unlimited Collide In Huge Triple Threat Tag Match

Here’s a preview of this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling:”

The Foundation (Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham) vs. La Facción Ingobernable (Dragon Lee & Kenny King) vs. Violence Unlimited (Brody King & Tony Deppen)

This match will determine which of the three warring factions heads into Sunday’s Best in the World pay-per-view with momentum.

At Best in the World, Deppen defends the ROH World Television Title against Lee, and Lethal faces Brody King in a huge first-time matchup. Also, The Foundation’s Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus put the ROH World Tag Team Title on the line against Violence Unlimited’s Chris Dickinson and Homicide in a Fight Without Honor.

The feud between The Foundation and LFI has been raging for the majority of 2021.VU entered the turf war in March by laying out members of both The Foundation and LFI.

With tensions between the three factions at an all-time high and this being the final show before Best in the World, expect every team to pull out all the stops.

Flip Gordon vs. PJ Black

Gordon and Black have been in the ring together several times, but this is their first meeting in a one-on-one match.

Gordon defeated Mark Briscoe at the 19th Anniversary show in March in his most recent singles bout. “The Mercenary” has his sights set on the ROH World Title, and he’ll get his shot at the championship next month at Glory By Honor in Philadelphia.

A victory over Gordon, who is No. 3 in the World Title rankings, would immediately put Black in the title conversation.

“The Darewolf” picked up his first win since October when he defeated Ryan Mooney in a Pure Rules Match on the latest episode of ROH Week By Week. It was Black’s second match in ROH after being sidelined for seven months while recovering from ankle surgery.

Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Joe Keys & Dante Caballero

Papa Briscoe was right about the Fight on the Farm being what was needed for his sons to finally settle their differences. Afterwards, the patriarch told the reunited brothers that they have to start at the bottom and work their way back into tag team title contention.

The first team standing in the 11-time former ROH World Tag Team Champions’ way is Keys and Caballero, two standouts from the ROH Dojo.

While Keys and Caballero obviously are heavy underdogs in this match, they have had success together. They are two-time former MCW Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions and defeated fellow Dojo members Eric Martin and Ken Dixon on ROH TV last December.

As unbelievable as it sounds, the Briscoes haven’t won a tag match together since November and are on a three-match losing streak. Of course, Jay and Mark weren’t seeing eye to eye (to put it mildly) for the majority of that span.

Now that they’re back together, the Briscoes are on a mission to prove they’re still the baddest tag team on the planet.
