Fred Yehi pre-match comments

Pure Rules Match: Dak Draper vs. Fred Yehi
(15-minute time limit)

Draper, the No. 1 contender in the Pure division, seized the advantage with chops and a hip-toss that sent Yehi flying across the ring. Yehi answered with chops of his own and open-hand slaps that stunned Draper. He followed with a series of swinging kicks in the corner. Yehi used a backslide for a near fall and a roll-up for another near fall. Draper halted Yehi’s momentum with a power slam.

Yehi applied the Koji Clutch, but Draper powered out. Yehi landed a series of body blows. Draper responded with a punch to the face, which drew a warning from the referee. Draper hit Magnum KO for the victory at 11:16.

After the match, Draper tried to present Yehi with a participation ribbon during the Code of Honor, but Yehi understandably slapped Draper’s hand away.

Tony Deppen pre-match comments

Kenny King (w/Amy Rose) pre-match comments

Kenny King (w/Amy Rose, Dragon Lee and Bestia del Ring ) vs. Tony Deppen
(20-minute time limit)

King adhered to the Code of Honor but then sucker-punched Deppen. King went on the offensive and toyed with Deppen. He hit a spinebuster for a near fall. King set up for Royal Flush, but Deppen slipped out and rocked King with a punch to the face. A series of open-hand slaps and kicks took King off his feet. Deppen hit a senton for a near fall. Deppen connected on a knee to the chin that knocked King out of the ring. Deppen DDT’d King on the floor.

Back inside the ring, Deppen hit a double stomp off the top rope for a near fall. Deppen went for a springboard move, but he slipped off the top rope. King immediately capitalized by hitting a Chin Checker. King followed with a Tiger Driver, which appeared to be enough to get a three count, but King pulled Deppen up at two and said he’s not finished yet. King again set up for Royal Flush, but Deppen countered with an inside cradle for the surprise win.

After the match, King, Lee and Bestia attacked Deppen. Brody King, who has had a score to settle with LFI since Bestia and Lee cost him his match against World Champion RUSH at Final Battle in December, hit the ring and went after LFI. RUSH came out, and Brody King fell victim to the numbers game. LFI placed Brody King on a table and Bestia hit a senton off the top rope that sent him crashing through the table.

Flip Gordon pre-match comments

Flamita pre-match comments

Flip Gordon vs. Flamita
(20-minute time limit)

Flamita was seeking revenge for Gordon ripping off his mask after their match a year ago.  After the action spilled outside the ring, Gordon speared Flamita into the barricade and connected on a superkick. Later, Flamita hit a handspring back elbow that knocked Gordon out of the ring. On the floor, Flamita super-kicked Gordon and hit a moonsault off the middle rope. Back inside the ring, Flamita hit a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Gordon answered by powerbombing Flamita off the middle rope for a near fall. Gordon hit a spin kick for a two count.

Flamita rallied, hitting a superkick for a near fall and a frog splash for another near fall. Gordon came back with a springboard sling blade for a near fall. Gordon set up for the Flip-Five, but Mark Briscoe appeared at ringside and slid a chair into the ring behind the referee’s back. The puzzled referee disposed of the chair. While he was doing so, Flamita escaped Gordon’s grasp. Gordon hit the ropes, but Briscoe was waiting for him and nailed him with a chair. Flamita stacked up Gordon, and the referee turned around and made the three count.

Briscoe’s interference was a receipt for Gordon costing Mark and Jay Briscoe their No. 1 contender’s match against LFI’s Lee and King last month.

After the match, an irate Gordon ripped off Flamita’s mask. Bandido and Rey Horus, Flamita’s teammates in MexiSquad, came out and ran off Gordon.
