After Rok-C’s impressive ROH debut in a tag match last week, she has been invited to compete in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament this summer.
Known as “The Prodigy,” the 19-year-old Rok-C was informed last night that she’s the first recipient of a “ticket to gold. Rok-C was given the news via Zoom call from ROH Board of Directors member Maria Kanellis-Bennett after the Women’s Division Wednesday match on YouTube.
“Being in Ring of Honor is like a dream, so thank you so much,” Rok-C told Kanellis-Bennett.
The native of Laredo, Texas began her pro wrestling training when she was just 13. She furthered her training under the tutelage of Hall of Famer Booker T and went on to become the Diamonds Division Champion in Booker’s Reality of Wrestling promotion.
Rok-C and Max The Impaler wrestled Hyan and Laynie Luck to a 15-minute draw in last week’s Women’s Division Wednesday match. Even though the match ended in a stalemate, Kanellis-Bennett told Rok-C that she “really stuck out.”
