A star-studded edition of NXT UK will see NXT UK Tag Team Champions Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith colliding with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in a spirited title fight, Sarray tangling with the antagonistic Nina Samuels, and Myla Grace throwing down with Isla Dawn.
Smith and Carter had a long, arduous climb to the top of NXT UK, but after enduring some hardship and coming agonizingly close to capturing the tandem titles on several occasions, they at long last prevailed in a barnburner of a Triple Threat NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match and captured the gold from Moustache Mountain on June 2.
Three weeks later, Smith and Carter are primed for their first defense against NXT 2.0’s Brooks and Jensen, who have established themselves as a high-upside team to watch while tangling with the likes of Von Wagner, Joe Gacy, Legado del Fantasma, The Creed Brothers and more.
Can Smith and Carter maintain their grip on the championship it took them more than two-and-a-half years to win, or will Briggs and Jensen march into NXT UK like they own the place?
Keeping with the NXT vs. NXT UK theme, The Warrior of the Sun will be in action against the host of “The Nina Samuels Show.”
Sarray most recently teamed with Andre Chase to secure a Mixed Tag Team Match victory against Grayson Waller and Tiffany Stratton on NXT, while the outspoken Samuels is seeking what would arguably be the most impressive win of her career.
Plus, Dawn is looking for vindication after coming up short against NXT Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura in two edge-of-your-seat title clashes.
Can the eerie competitor rebound with a win over Grace and perhaps collect another “trophy,” or will the upstart Grace find a way to prevail against her unsettling opponent?
Don’t miss an amazing episode of NXT UK, streaming Thursday at 3 ET/8 BST on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else!
