We’ve finally arrived at our destination. After prevailing in the grueling, competitively stacked 2018 United Kingdom Championship Tournament, “Liverpool’s No. 1” Zack Gibson will challenge WWE U.K. Champion Pete Dunne at the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow on the NXT U.K. Championship special on the award-winning WWE Network.
Gibson proved his mettle in the U.K. Championship Tournament, defeating Amir Jordan in the First Round, Gentleman Jack Gallagher in the Quarterfinals, Flash Morgan Webster in the Semifinals and Travis Banks in the Finals to earn the right to challenge The BruiserWeight. In each of those tournament matches, Gibson used his tried-and-true Shankly Gates top wrist-lock to force his opponent into submission.
Can Gibson do the same against the bitterly tough Dunne, who, like Liverpool’s No. 1, knows how to torture the competition with joint manipulation? The BruiserWeight has one clear advantage as he approaches the title defense: The grind Gibson had to endure to get to this contest, having earned three of his tournament wins in a single night.
Will Pete Dunne continue his historic U.K. Title reign and stand tall yet again? Or, will Zack Gibson make the ultimate name for himself by dethroning The BruiserWeight and stamping his name on both the U.K. Championship Tournament and the NXT U.K. Championship special? Find out when Dunne and Gibson collide on tomorrow, streaming exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network!
