Pixar Magic Returns with “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” at Disneyland Resort

May 22, 2025

In celebration of the Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary, the vibrant daytime parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” is making its highly anticipated return to Disney California Adventure Park starting May 16, 2025, for a limited time engagement.

This dynamic parade is a heartfelt tribute to the friendships and unforgettable moments from Pixar Animation Studios. Featuring eight colorful floats, more than two dozen Pixar characters, and high-energy dancers, the show brings to life the iconic partnerships and emotional storytelling that define Pixar films.

What to Expect: Highlights from the Parade

  • The Iconic Pixar Lamp: The parade opens with an oversized version of the beloved Pixar lamp, decorated with playful stickers representing films such as Coco, Soul, and Turning Red.

  • “Turning Red” Float: A fan-favorite, this float features a giant red panda version of Mei Lee, her friends, her father, and a special appearance by the boy band 4*TOWN.

  • “Luca” Comes to Life: Characters Luca and Alberto appear in their hybrid sea creature/human forms, surrounded by beach cruiser performers who channel the laid-back coastal vibe of Portorosso.

  • Jazz with “Soul”: Joe Gardner’s students celebrate their music teacher with a jazz jam session, complete with floats designed to resemble musical notes from their featured track.

  • A Musical Tribute: The parade’s soundtrack blends refreshed versions of Pixar classics, such as “Spirit of Adventure” from Up, a joyful Italian melody from Luca, and a grand finale medley combining “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” (Toy Story) and “If I Didn’t Have You” (Monsters, Inc.).

A Grand Finale of Fan Favorites

The finale crescendos with a star-studded lineup of Pixar heroes:

  • The Incredibles — Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone ride on futuristic hovercrafts.

  • Dynamic Duos — Including Sulley and Mike Wazowski, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, and Miguel with Dante from Coco.

  • Woody’s Farewell — Everyone’s favorite sheriff waves goodbye from a toy truck in the parade’s heartwarming final moments.
