Unrivaled Basketball’s season two premiere continued with two more Monday games during the evening kick-off. 2025 Unrivaled champions, Rose, balled out against Lunar Owls, who tried their very best. Phantom fell to newly added club Breeze in a close fight to the finish.

Rose bloomed as the Lunar Owls were grounded
Reigning champions Rose dominated over the Collier-less Lunar Owls. Rose showed exactly why they won in 2025, with an explosive start and stellar chemistry with Gray and Stevens. The Owls really tried to keep up, but between Mabrey’s inability to get a decent shot off and no Collier, the writing was on the wall for them by the end of the first half.
Gray’s (35 points, 8 assists) passing game is scary to contend with, stepping back in to punch up the score even more, and securing the game-winning shot. Austin (12 points, 6 rebounds) was a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor. Stevens (19 points) felt almost unstoppable. Rose Basketball Club is still that team. On the other side, Edwards (23 points) was a bright spot for the Lunar Owls until she had to leave the game after her hard fall. Mabrey (21 points) managed to get it together by the end and Fágbénlé assisted where she could.
Final score: Rose, 80-60

Satou Sabally (OUT)

Breeze storms past the Phantom
The most anticipated game of the day was between newly added team, Breeze, and reconfigured Phantom (only Cloud returned this season). And it was worth the wait. No other game was this tight or evenly matched and it was the only game that was won on a foul shot. Either team could’ve won this game. Like Hive Basketball Club, Breeze is brand new to Unrivaled this year, but unlike Hive, Breeze actually looked like they’ve been playing together for years. Phantom’s almost brand new line-up for season two might end up being the best thing that happened to the team.
This ended up being Bueckers (24 points) and Hayes’ (20 points) game. Bueckers dominated from the very beginning and kept that energy up through the end, as the focal point for Breeze’s offense. Hayes, who replaced Sabally, and her speed were almost impossible to keep up with. She kept the Phantom within winning range throughout the second half. Malonga (15 points), Jackson (16 points), and Boston (18 points) all had their moments keeping their teams on track, especially with Boston’s particular brand of physical play. Bueckers will remember that hip check for a good while.
Final score: Breeze, 69-62
