Julia Hart(c) vs. Leyla Hirsch
It has been quite a long time since Leyla Hirsch has competed on the All Elite Wrestling stage, since the April 4, 2022 edition of DARK: ELEVATION as far as what was seen publicly, but fans who were in Agganis Arena in Boston on April 6th know differently. That night, during a match that would've aired on the April 11th edition of DARK: ELEVATION, Hirsch suffered an ACL tear that put her on the shelf for sixteen months!
Hirsch returned to action in July 2023, competing as part of the loaded Ring of Honor Women's Roster, challenging Athena for the Women's World Championship during ROH ON HONOR CLUB #32 last October, and made it to the Quarter-Finals of the ROH Women's World TV Championship. Hirsch has been exceptional during her Ring of Honor run those far, going 16-5 in singles competition since last July, just three of those losses coming in one-on-one competition, and now she returns to AEW competition with one goal in mind, ripping the TNT Championship away from Julia Hart!
The woman who's taken to calling herself “The Forever Face of TBS” was more than happy to accept the challenge, almost eager to welcome “Legit” Leyla into The House of Black, but from her actions this past Wednesday on DYNAMITE, one can't help but wonder if her focus is in the wrong place for Friday night.
So while Julia seems focused on Willow Nightingale, and to an extent Mercedes Moné, Leyla Hirsch is exclusively zeroed in on the TBS Championship around Julia Hart's waist. It's not about Julia for Leyla, it's not personal grudge of any kind, it is solely about the TBS Title, and that may make all the difference in this Open House match on Friday night!

ROH World Six-Man Champion “Switchblade” Jay White vs. Matt Sydal
After successfully retaining the ROH World Six-Man Championship titles at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2024 against Alex Zayne, Lance Archer, and Minoru Suzuki, the animosity between The Bang Bang Gang and The Acclaimed erupted once again. It's clear these six men are headed for a war down the line, but this Friday night on RAMPAGE it's only “Switchblade” Jay White who will be in action. He said he was looking for a fight and challenged any one to step up, and it looks like Matt Sydal is the man willing to do just that!
These two men may have never fought one another in a singles match, but they are no strangers to one another. Back in 2016, on several NJPW events, these two competitors stepped into the ring with one another across four different matches. Three of those matches put Sydal and a very young Jay White on opposite sides of the ring, with Sydal's side picking up all three victories, but one of those bouts did put White and Sydal on the same team, though their union was not a victorious one.
But that was a Jay White barely three years into his career, that was Jay White pre-excursion, before the birth of “Switchblade”, and before the IWGP Championship ever adorned his waist. In the nearly eight years since their last encounter, Jay White has grown by leaps and bounds, ascended to the top of the wrestling business, and so it will quite interesting to see how Matt Sydal tackles this challenge. Everyone knows how talented a wrestler Sydal is, what he brings to the table, but he's been quite frustrated over the course of his AEW career, and looking for the big victory that gets him back into discussions of championship opportunities!
ORANGE IN ACTION…
AEW fans watched in horror last week as Trent Beretta drove his knee into the skull of Orange Cassidy following their AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament loss, and walked away without a word, leaving Chuck Taylor utterly stunned. Even with Kris Statlander tried to get an explanation from him, all Trent could do was whisper something in her ear, and walk out of the arena.
Suffice to say that the usually imperturbable Orange Cassidy has been quite the angry individual in the week since that betrayal, and this Friday night on RAMPAGE we will get to hear him speak on the situation for the very first time! In addition, the former 2-Time AEW International Champion will be in action, looking for someone to take his anger and frustration out on in an official capacity! We don't have to wonder or wait and see just who will step up to fight OC on Friday, because The Dark Order's Alex Reynolds has raised his hand! It's Alex's first singles match of 2024, and he's hoping to take advantage of Cassidy's hurt and confusion to score the biggest singles victory of his AEW career!

Zak Knight vs. “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker
Angelo Parker has been looking for this fight since the moment Zak Knight entered into All Elite Wrestling to join sister Saraya om her endeavor to destroy the relationship between Parker and Ruby Soho. Knight avoided the fight in Canada, even though Parker wanted it more than life itself, instead choosing to play mind games with the man and make him wait for the fight.
Well the waiting is over, now that Angelo Parker has nothing left but the fight, the fight is finally upon him this Friday night on RAMPAGE! There is no question that Zak Knight will have his sister Saraya and Harley Cameron at his side while Angelo will be all alone, but nothing is going to stop “Cool Hand” from trying to exact a pound of flesh from Zak Knight!

The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) vs. Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta
After escaping their Quarter-Final match against Private Party with a suspect victory, The Young Bucks made sure to be on the spot at the first opportunity to take a shot at Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta ahead of their Semi-Final encounter. Leave it to Matthew and Nicholas to take those two Best Friends lending a hand to another individual, in this case “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard, and turning it into something terrible with their underhanded tactics.
Thankfully Orange and Trent don't have to wait long to even the score with The EVPs since this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE features their Semi-Final contest in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament! Now Trent Beretta is extremely familiar with fighting The Young Bucks, between AEW, ROH, NJPW, and PWG, they've fought countless times, but OC has only ever met Matthew and Nicholas in tag team action one time, and that was with HOOK serving as his tag team partner. This is a rather unfamiliar experience for the former 2-Time AEW International Champion, but that's part-and-parcel of being a professional wrestler, one won't always have experience with your foes, but that just means learning as you go, and that feels like a situation where Orange Cassidy can thrive.
History shows how strong a team The Young Bucks are, and recent history shows how low they will stoop to come out on top, but recent history also shows how strong a duo Trent and OC have quickly become, unbeaten in five straight matches, and coming into this tournament arguably with more momentum than any other pair. Can this Best Friends pairing continue to roll that momentum forward into a spot in the tournament final at DYNASTY 2024, or will The Young Bucks continue to dig down into new depths in order to get their much-coveted third AEW World Tag Team Championship reign?

Last week on DYNAMITE, with his victory of Konosuke Takeshita, Swerve Strickland cemented himself as the challenger at DYNASTY 2024 for ROH World Champion Samoa Joe. It's the position Swerve has been fighting for ever since ALL IN: LONDON, that he went through vicious clashes with Hangman Page to acquire (including that unforgettable Texas Death match), and now has finally earned without having to worry about a third party as he did at REVOLUTION 2024.
This Wednesday night in Worcester, Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe make their April 21st championship fight official when they sign their names on the contract, but professional wrestling contract signings are notorious for turning into chaos. Just look at the last time Swerve was involved in one of them, and how he got stabbed in the hand with the very pen Hangman used to sign the deal! Will this contract signing see a similar breakdown in decorum, or will professionalism actually be the rule of the night with Samoa Joe and Swerve?

AEW World Trios Champion Billy Gunn vs. ROH World Six-Man Champion Jay White
It wasn't all that long ago that a Gunn family reunion could be looked at as a joyous occasion; after months and months of Billy, Austin, and Colten being at odds with one another, the union of the Bang Bang Scissor Gang seemed like a way for fences to be mended, for a father and his sons to become a family once again.
Well that idea went to hell the moment The Bang Bang Gang decided that assaulting Darby Allin, that putting him on the shelf for an undetermined amount of time, was more important than keeping their six-man power group together. Perhaps it was a group destined for failure from jump street, given the egos and attitudes involved, but if there's life there is hope, and there's nothing wrong with hoping for the most favorable outcome.
Unfortunately that's not what The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass got for their time, for the willingness to trust the Bang Bang Gang, in fact Daddy Ass got a home invasion for his hopes of long-term reconciliation with his sons, so as a consequence of that, Billy Gunn has got a beating in mind for “Switchblade” Jay White!
Gunn doesn't often dabble in singles matches at this point in his career, preferring to ride in trios action with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, but he's got decades worth of experience in that role to pull from when it comes to teaching Jay White a lesson in respect and humility! This is just the beginning of what is sure to be several heated battles between these two dominating trios…
A Battle Of Will(s)…
Powerhouse Hobbs vs. (4)Will Ospreay
For better or worse, Don continues to pit members of his family against one another inside the squared circle under the belief that the only way to get better is to fight the best, and that since his family is the best, they just have to fight one another to get better. While there may be some merit to Callis' thinking, we've already witnessed tension within the ranks with Ospreay fighting ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher on DYNAMITE and Takeshita at REVOLUTION 2024, and now he's signed up to facing the monster of The DC Family, the strongest man in all of All Elite Wrestling, Powerhouse Hobbs!
Ospreay's schedule since fully devoting his time to AEW has been rather mad; in addition to those two matches, he's heading into this fight with Hobbs after just having faced Katsuyori Shibata last Wednesday on DYNAMITE and he's got the impending bout with Bryan Danielson at DYNASTY 2024! That's just the in-ring portion of his last couple weeks, it says nothing of his travel schedule back-and-forth between the UK, Canada, and the United States. That being said, Ospreay does have some experience with demanding travel schedules from his time in NJPW and weeks consisting of, as an example, five matches in seven days.
Ospreay's been through it, but fighting a foe like Powerhouse Hobbs is such a unique endeavor; the former TNT Champion possesses such a rare combination of power and speed, as well as strength and agility, plus a sheer ruthlessness to back it all up, that makes him one of the most dangerous men in All Elite Wrestling. He's a man who can throw around any individual in the company like they are rag dolls, just look at how he treated Paul Wight in the Like a Dragon Gaiden Street Fight last November, and while it takes a tremendous feat of strength to even rock Hobbs much less get him off his feet.
They may both be part of The Don Callis Family, but that doesn't mean Ospreay or Hobbs are going to take it easy on one another, in fact it seems the hope from Callis is that the exact opposite be true. He wants to see his men go to war with one another, to sharpen each other's iron so to speak, and to get one another at the peak of their game. Well, he will certainly get that this Wednesday night when Will Ospreay clashes with Powerhouse Hobbs as we continue down the road to DYNASTY 2024!
JERICHO CALLS OUT HOOK!
After falling to FTW Champion HOOK in singles competition two weeks ago, “Lionheart” Chris Jericho extended the offer to essentially serve as a mentor for the young man. Jericho himself pointed out he's never been a trainer, never ran a wrestling school, never been a manager, but yet he was willing to try to be those things for “The Cold-Hearted, Handsome Devil”. Now HOOK may be young, both in life and in terms of time as an active competitor, but he's not a stupid human being, as HOOK said, he knows who Jericho is. He knows the leader of the Inner Circle who caused Sammy Guevara to walk away from the group, and who tossed aside Ortiz and Santana as soon as they questioned how Jericho operated. He knows the Jericho who built his own Appreciation Society, but was ultimately abandoned by all of those associates because of his behavior as their leader. HOOK knows “The Ocho” and “Le Champion”, but what Chris seems to want to show him is the “Lionheart”, a man of integrity and worth who actually cares about the future of AEW, who knows it's bigger than just Chris Jericho, and who actually wants to see it grow beyond Chris Jericho.
So what is it that Jericho intends to call out HOOK for this week on DYNAMITE? Is it for a public workout? A training match? A lesson in technique? There are a great many lessons that a man with the tenure of the original AEW World Champion can teach to a young competitor like the FTW Champion, but what will that be this Wednesday night?

Though they owe a debt of gratitude to Mark Briscoe for helping to facilitate their victory over The House of Black in the Wild Card Round, The Infantry of Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean find themselves in the Quarter-Finals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament, and faced with one of the greatest teams in professional wrestling history. It’s the biggest moment in their entire tag team career, and it plays out before the entire world this Saturday on COLLISION.
FTR, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, had a Hall of Fame resume before they debuted for All Elite Wrestling, and since coming into AEW in the fall of 2020, have only bolstered that resume with two AEW World Tag Team Championship reigns, a ROH World Tag Team Championship reign, a AAA World Tag Title reign, and an IWGP World Tag Title reign. They are perpetually in the conversation of which team in AEW is the best, and have been on the hunt for a third AEW World Tag reign since Big Bill and Ricky Starks defeated them last October.
For both FTR and The Infantry, this Saturday night is a pivotal moment in their careers, and though it’s obvious why that is the case for Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean, perhaps it’s less so for the case of FTR. The fact that they’ve already won so many championships in their tag team career doesn’t mean Dax and Cash aren’t always gunning for another run atop the division, it doesn’t make any victory mean less because they’ve been there before, in fact it’s quite the opposite. FTR know how much it means to be hold the AEW World Tag Titles, they know what that experience is like, and they crave having it once again by coming out on the top of this tournament.
So will we see FTR add more accolades to their championship resume, or will The Infantry find another way to upset the apple cart and move on to the Semi-Final round of the East Bracket? The winner of this contest will meet either Top Flight or Big Bill and Ricky Starks in that round, and it’s a safe bet who FTR would want to fight should they advance to the Semi’s!

Big Bill and Ricky Starks have not been seen inside an AEW ring since the February 7th edition of DYNAMITE when Darby Allin and Sting defeated them for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Starks, generally a prolific poster on his social media, hasn’t shared anything since February 25th, while Big Bill has only shared posts about upcoming AEW events. Overall they’ve been quite quiet, leading to a whole lot of speculation about their status in All Elite Wrestling, and their status as a team. They were never a duo made up of best friends, they aren’t brothers or related in any fashion, they were simply allies of convenience who ended up making a tremendous team, and tasted rapid success by claiming the AEW World Tag Titles from FTR in their second fight as a tag team.
Overall Bill and Ricky went 6-0 as a team prior to losing the titles to Darby and Sting, defeating two different BCC teams, The Dark Order of Reynolds and Silver, Jericho and Guevera, FTR of course, and won the FULL GEAR 2023 Ladder Match over three other tag teams, but one team they never faced during that time was Top Flight.
So given the silence from Big Bill and Ricky Starks, it came as a bit of a surprise when they were announced as participants in this tournament to crown new champions after Darby vacated the titles in the aftermath of Sting’s REVOLUTION 2024 retirement. But here the former champions are, ready to get back into the hunt this Saturday night on COLLISION, and they kick off this campaign to regain the titles with a first-time bout against Top Flight.
It’s been over a year since the lone AEW World Tag Title opportunity that Dante and Darius ever had, a loss to The Gunns on the 3/22/23 edition of DYNAMITE, and they would love to run the table on this tournament and finally rise to the top of AEW’s stacked tag team division! Will it be the former champions who advance on Saturday, or the two young men who’ve never held a championship in AEW or ROH? The winner of this one faces the winner of the aforementioned FTR/Infantry battle also taking place on COLLISION…
COPE OPEN TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…

He was battered and bruised, broken and bloody, but it certainly felt like Adam Copeland had rarely been happier than he was in the aftermath of his TNT Championship victory over Christian Cage. Making his former best friend, a man his children called Uncle, say the words “I Quit” brought a sense of relief and satisfaction to Cope, but also the realization that the work had only just begun. Everything it took to get the TNT Championship, the wear and tear it put on his body, the heartbreak it put on his family, it was all just part one of the journey.
Part two begins this Saturday night on COLLISION when Adam begins The Cope Open anew only now with the TNT Championship at stake! It’s a return to how the TNT Championship was first introduced, and how it was carried by nearly every champion not named Christian Cage. Men like Cody Rhodes, Darby Allin, and Sammy Guevara carried on an Open Challenge tradition for that belt, and that is reborn now that the title is around the waist of a stand-up competitor like Adam Copeland!
That question is who will step up to the challenge and try to wrestle the TNT Championship away from Adam in his first defense? Previous Cope Open competitors included Dante Martin and Minoru Suzuki, each pushing Adam in different fashions, so who will it be this time? Will it be another young talent trying to break through to the next level? Will it be a well-established warrior looking for a title they’ve never held? Or maybe someone from outside the auspices of All Elite Wrestling hoping to earn their way in as Ricky Starks and Eddie Kingston did in the early days of the TNT Championship?
It’s an exciting thing to speculate on just who may step up to the plate and take a swing at Adam Copeland’s TNT Championship, but will it be a gamble that blows up in the defending champion’s face?

“The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer & The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) vs.
Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli) and Katsuyori Shibata
Two weeks ago on COLLISION, Claudio Castagnoli and Lance Archer met in a battle of AEW behemoths, but unfortunately the bout came to an unsatisfying conclusion for all as The Righteous assaulted Castagnoli just as he began to Giant Swing “The Murderhawk Monster”! Bryan Danielson tried to stem the assault, but he got dropped by The Righteous as well. It was only the arrival of Katsuyori Shibata, and the chair he had in hand, that sent Dutch, Vincent, and Archer heading for the hills.
That assist was a tremendous show of respect from “The Wrestler”, stemming from the fight he and Bryan had earlier in the night, and now that sign of respect has blossomed into a full-blown alliance, at least for one night, as he teams with Bryan and Claudio to take on Archer and The Righteous in Trios competition!
The two BCC members are fresh off a fight at Arena Mexico for CMLL’s HOMENAJE A DOS LEYENDAS event, having hopped on a flight to Canada early Saturday morning to get to London for this fight, but there are no excuses when it comes to The Blackpool Combat Club, and they will be ready to throw down on COLLISION! Archer and The Righteous have a slight experience advantage as a Trio, but is it enough to overcome the onslaught that Shibata and The BCC will bring to bear?
FIGHTING LIKE A CHAMPION…
Thunder Rosa vs. Lady Frost
Last time she set foot in the ring, Thunder Rosa accomplished something no one else had done since GRAND SLAM 2023 when she pinned Toni Storm’s shoulders to the mat for a tag team victory. It may not have sat well with Deonna Purrazzo, that forced tag that got Thunder into the match in the first place, but it was a win for their team nonetheless, though Rosa’s “when I win you can have the first shot” comment could be taken as rather condescending.
That’s an issue for another time though, right now is time for Thunder Rosa to prepare for another fight on her road back to the top of AEW’s Women’s Division, not to celebrate her seventh consecutive victory since returning from a near career ending injury. This Saturday she steps into the ring with Lady Frost, a woman she’s never faced in AEW and only encountered once in their careers back in May 2021, and someone who has been on the cusp of breaking out with her incredible combination of heart, skill, and athleticism. She’s gave Kris Statlander two tremendous fights in TBS Championship bouts, and one to Julia Hart as well, not to mention the battles with Mariah May and Serena Deeb this year, but Frost hasn’t quite been able to put it together for a victory quite yet.
Will Saturday night be the night Lady Frost finds the key to her first AEW win, or will she be another brick in Thunder Rosa’s road a championship fight with “Timeless” Toni Storm?

Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuyori Shibata!
Danielson and Shibata chain wrestled at the start of the match. Danielson bridged his way out of wristlock. Shibata tried to keep his distance from Danielson’s kicks. They locked up and traded kicks. Danielson stomped on the back of Shibata’s knees, targeting the hamstrings. Danielson kicked Shibata in the spine.
Shibata rocked Danielson with forearms, but Danielson countered with a butterfly suplex. Danielson put Shibata in a surfboard submission, but Shibata escaped. Danielson and Shibata traded chops until Danielson went low and dropped Shibata with a single leg takedown.
Shibata suplexed Danielson out of the ring and followed up with a running PK from the apron. Danielson rallied back with a running dropkick, but Shibata chased after Danielson and clocked the American Dragon with a running boot in the corner.
Danielson tried for a discus elbow, but Shibata countered and planted Danielson hard with a trip. Shibata and Danielson clinched one another and exchanged knee strikes. Shibata drilled Danielson with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Danielson rocked Shibata with a running knee strike. Danielson applied the LeBell Lock. Shibata managed to reach the ropes with his boot, forcing the ref to break the hold. Shibata taunted Danielson, inviting Danielson to kick him. Danielson obliged, and then Shibata served up straight pump kicks to Danielson. Shibata blistered Bryan with kicks to the chest. Now Danielson taunted Shibata and invited Shibata to kick him.
They both sat down and slapped one another with open palm strikes! Danielson caught Shibata in the back of the head with a kick. Shibata dodged Danielson’s charging knee strike and put Danielson in the Iron Octopus. Danielson escaped after putting his boot on the ropes. They grappled until Danielson was able to cradle Shibata and score the pin!
“Take a look at the fans standing up, loving what they see from Danielson and Shibata,” said Schiavone.
“A hell of a match,” replied Nigel.
After the match, they hugged one another as a sign of mutual respect.
TBS Championship Match!
The House of Black’s Julia Hart (c.) vs. The Infantry’s Trish Adora!
This match took place under “House Rules.” The loser will be banned from ringside during their respective team’s match later tonight.
Trish knocked down Julia with a shoulder block. Julia escaped a body slam attempt and rammed Adora headfirst into the steel ring steps. Julia whipped Trish into the ringside barricade. Trish retaliated with a shoulder breaker back in the ring.
Julia dodged a pump kick and then blasted Trish with a running lariat. Trish rocked Julia with a German Suplex from her knees for a near fall on Julia. The champ fired back with a thrust kick. Julia nailed Trish with a moonsault and pinned Trish, racking up another win.
Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Harley Cameron and Zak Knight!
Zak: “Angelo Parker wants to fight me? I’ll give you a fight, but I’m not doing it here in Canada. You want to fight? I’ll fight but it’ll be on my terms!”
Daniel Garcia vs. Shane Taylor Promotion’s Lee Moriarty (with Shane Taylor)!
“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Garcia blasted Moriarty with a shotgun dropkick. Shane Taylor distracted Garcia on the arena floor, long enough for Lee to rocket out of the ring with a tope suicida to Garcia.
Lee Moriarty swung at Garica, but Garica answered with strikes and then stomped Moriarty in the corner. Moriarty cracked Garcia in the back of the head with a jumping kick. Moriarty hit a double foot stomp on Garcia. Moriarty went for the Fang, but Garcia countered and locked in a vicious heel hook, forcing Moriarty to tap out!
“The Bastard” Pac vs. Aaron Solo!
Solo came out of the gates strong, with a flurry of offense on Pac! “The Bastard” stomped on Solo.
The fans chanted “Welcome back!” at Pac.
Pac’s quick feet knocked Solo to the mat. Pac rocked Solo with a shotgun dropkick off the top rope.
“Seamless offense. No wasted motion,” said Nigel about Pac.
Pac splashed Solo with the Black Arrow! Pac, wanting to make a statement, put Solo in the Brutalizer submission and won via ref stoppage!
Pac: “Tony, Tony, Tony. I told you, the Bastard’s back and I am looking for trouble. But you see, Aaron Solo is not exactly what I had in mind. Tony Khan, I am looking for trouble, so find me some, or I will find it myself.”
Bryan Danielson was backstage meditating.
Danielson: “I’m grateful that I was about to have a match with Shibata tonight. I’m grateful that I have a match with Will Ospreay coming up at Dynasty on Sunday, April 21st. He said when he gets in the ring it’s live or die and he doesn’t plan on dying. He can’t walk in my shoes. Shibata and I were told we would never be able to wrestle again. But we banged on death’s door. Say what you want about what you’re willing to do. I know what I’m willing to do. And I don’t think you’re ready for that.”
Claudio Castagnoli vs. “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer!
They rammed each other with shoulder blocks, neither man budged. Claudio scoop slammed Archer, but Archer got right up! Claudio and Archer slugged it out, two battling bulls in the ring. Claudio clocked Archer with a lariat, knocking Archer over the top rope.
Claudio attempted a running European Uppercut on the floor, but Archer blocked it. Archer followed up with a cannonball senton off the apron and onto Claudio! Archer nailed Claudio with a side slam in the ring.
Archer signaled for a DDT, but Claudio reversed it and stunned Archer with a big vertical suplex. Archer tried to walk the ropes, but Claudio pulled him down and cracked him with a European Uppercut!
Claudio climbed up the turnbuckles, but Archer blasted him with a rising knee strike. Archer choke slammed Claudio for a near fall! Claudio came back with a Death Valley Driver on Archer! Claudio hit a cutter on Archer from the top turnbuckle for a near fall.
The fans chanted “Swing! Swing! Swing!”
Claudio got Archer in the Giant Swing but The Righteous—Vincent and Dutch—sprinted down the ramp and ambushed Claudio in the ring!
The Righteous attacked Claudio until Bryan Danielson came down to even up the odds for his fellow Blackpool Combat Club teammate! The numbers were too many, and they swarmed Danielson! Shibata sprinted to the ring with a chair, and Archer and The Righteous retreated!
“This match has been thrown out, but what a match it was,” said Tony Schiavone.
“This one is far from over,” replied Nigel.
Lexy Nair was backstage with Ruby Soho and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker!
Parker: “This is a second home to me, and I was ready for a fight tonight. Zak is a coward. He doesn’t want to have a match. He’ll have a fight tonight!”
Ruby: “If you go looking for a fight, you’ll have to do it without me.”
Parker: “You’re right. I’ll leave it alone for tonight.”
Kyle O’Reilly vs. “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith!
Kyle cracked Keith with a forearm. Keith baited Kyle in and connected with a spinning kick. Keith put O’Reilly in an abdominal stretch. Keith transitioned with a DDT, spiking Kyle right on his head and neck!
Kyle put Bryan Keith in a triangle choke. Kyle gave up the submission attempt in search of something else. Keith battled back with a double underhook power bomb, though. Kyle fired back with a lariat, a brain buster, and then the Armageddon submission hold, forcing Bryan Keith to tap out!
The Undisputed Kingdom came out to help Kyle celebrate.
“What a return to action!” said Nigel.
Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa!
Lexy said Deonna and Thunder Rosa have never teamed before, but they’re scheduled to face Toni Storm and Mariah May next week on Dynamite.
Thunder Rosa: “Toni and Mariah want drama We are going to give you drama. We are going to stop all the games and all the jokes. We have a mission. It is TV time.”
AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament Wild Card Match!
The Infantry—Carlie Bravo & Captain Shawn Dean
vs.
The House of Black’s Brody King & Buddy Matthews!
The winning team faces FTR in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The House of Black wasted no time pummeling the Infantry outside the ring, seeking and destroying.
“This match may not even happen,” said Nigel.
“You’re right, this match hasn’t even started, but the House of Black have decimated their opponents on the floor,” replied Schiavone.
The ref asked the Infantry if they could compete, and the Infantry wouldn’t back down!
Shawn Dean splashed Brody and Buddy in the corner. Brody fired back with a monstrous lariat! The House of Black took turns battering Carlie. They hit Dante’s Inferno on Dean, but Carlie broke up the pin attempt. The House of Black circled the Infantry, stalking them in the ring.
Brody spiked Carlie Bravo on the announcers’ desk! Buddy curb stomped Shawn Dean! Julia Hart whispered into Buddy’s ear, and he smiled. Buddy climbed to the top turnbuckle. The ref had his back turned on Buddy, as he was admonishing Julia Hart on the apron. Mark Briscoe ran down to the ring and whacked Buddy in the head with a steel chair! Brody King followed Briscoe up the arena steps, leaving Buddy in the ring. Shawn Dean crawled over and covered Buddy, scoring the pin!
“I can’t believe it! The Infantry won!” said a shocked Schiavone.
“The Infantry didn’t win it. Mark Briscoe won it,” replied Nigel.
Malakai Black stormed down to the ring, furiously staring at Mark Briscoe!
Ahead of this Wednesday’s TNT Championship “I Quit” Match against champion Christian Cage, we heard from the “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland!
Adam Copeland carried the case with the words “Spike” stenciled on it.
“I have no idea what is in the box, but it really scared away Christian Cage last time,” said Tony Schiavone.
Adam Copeland: “This Wednesday, it’s fitting that I fight a guy who I thought for 40 years was my best friend. So Christian Cage, I’m talking to you now. I’m not going to call you Jay. Jay’s dead. You’ve become Christian Cage. The ego is out of control.
“We used to talk about chasing our dreams and crushing our dreams. We did that! And then I fast forward to now. We had talked about me coming to AEW. You were on board. I came here to retire with you. I didn’t come here to take away your shine. At World’s End, I failed, and I’m not used to repeated failures. I picked myself up and walked forward.
“I earned that title shot. You and the Patriarchy took me out with the con-chair-to, a move we created. So maybe that’s fitting too. But when I was out, I got a call from a man who in the past has had to remind me of who I am. And he called again to remind me of who I am. So, I created Spike.”
Copeland opened the box and pulled out a 2×4 with nails sticking out of it!
Copeland: “Spike is hungry. She wants to take a bit out of you, Christian Cage. So that phone call from Mrs. Foley’s baby boy worked, because I remember who I am! I have kept it bottled up. I am the Rated R Superstar. This Wednesday you’re going to be in the hospital. Spike and I are going to take away your pride and make you say two words. And those two words are ‘I quit!’ 40 years after this started in our hometown, it ends!”

DREAMS CONTINUE TO COME TRUE…
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuyori Shibata
In so many ways the last year in the career of “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson has felt like one dream after another coming to fruition, if not for Bryan than at least for the fans of his work inside the squared circle. They’ve got to witness Danielson fight Kazuchika Okada twice, Zack Sabre Jr. twice, Timothy Thatcher, Yuji Nagata, Jun Akiyama, and Hechicero, not to mention the countless top shelf fights he’s had against opponent like Eddie Kingston, Swerve, RUSH, Ricky Starks, and his own BCC mate Claudio Castagnoli. It’s been one of the wildest years in Danielson’s career, and that’s with having to take time off due to a broken arm and a fractured orbital bone, so imagine what else could have been had he not been required to let his body heal.
And yet it’s only March 16th, meaning there are plenty of days left on the calendar of what Danielson has referred to as his last full-time year of professional wrestling, and that there are plenty of dreams left to be fulfilled both for “The American Dragon” and his fans! We already know one of those will come true at DYNASTY on April 21st when he faces Will Ospreay for the first time, but another comes to pass this Saturday night on COLLISION when Bryan Danielson goes one-on-one for Katsuyori Shibata for their first encounter!
Just about a year ago, following his ROH Pure Championship victory over Wheeler Yuta at ROH SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2023, Shibata told the world that winning that championship meant he was one step closer to fighting Bryan Danielson, and though he may have taken some time to take those steps, including Shibata having to return to Japan following his loss to Yuta on 11/25/23, we are finally there!
This is a dream that seemed impossible, especially given that at various points both athletes thought their respective in-ring careers would be over, but on COLLISION it becomes reality, and fans will be able to rejoice when two of the most dangerous strikers, and most dangerous grapplers, in the history of the game step inside the squared circle as opponents. After nearly four months out of action, Shibata is certainly going to be tested with this battle against Bryan, but so too will “The American Dragon” be pushed to his limits as he prepares for Will Ospreay in five weeks time. This is a fight both men want, both men need, and fight fans around the world have been praying they would get to experience before the sun set on either competitors career!
RETURN TO ACTION!
Kyle O’Reilly vs. “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith
Imagine having your livelihood taken away in an instant, your dream smashed, and it all happening while you were unconscious. That is what happened to Kyle O’Reilly, that is what happened in 2022 when he went under the knife for one surgery only to wake up and discover complications from that left him with a wholely different problem to handle. Unable to use his arm for the most basic of day-to-day functions, Kyle never thought he’d be able to use that arm to hold his child again, much less get back into the ring for a fight, yet here we are, 647 days removed from Kyle’s last match against Jon Moxley, and his indomitable spirit has led Kyle back to the place he never thought he’d experience again: the inside of a wrestling ring!
There is so much emotion wrapped up in this return to action on Saturday night, so much trepidation about what might happen when he steps back between the ropes, and yet Kyle O’Reilly has chosen to do it with one of the hottest prospects in the game today in “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith. Keith may seem like an overnight sensation to some, a man who skyrocketed into the AEW spotlight because of his showing at ROH’s FINAL BATTLE 2023 event, but in reality he’s an overnight sensation ten years in the making. His Survival of the Fittest performance may have been the launching pad into AEW, the fight with Eddie Kingston may have been the icing on the cake that got him a contract, but it was fights against men like Timothy Thatcher, Masato Tanaka, Rocky Romero, as well as his performance in PWG’s 2023 BOLA that woke the world up to his abilities.
Since his arrival in AEW men like Malakai Black, Kingston, Orange Cassidy, and Claudio Castagnoli have experienced the hard-hitting fight Keith brings to the table, and clearly Kyle O’Reilly has watched this from a distance as well, with “Bounty Hunter” leaving enough of an impression that he’s who Kyle wants to test himself against after nearly two years away from the fight! As Kyle said, right into the fire, but it’s the only way O’Reilly is going to know what he still has inside, what he needs to find again, and what needs to change for the future to look as bright as did when he stepped into the ring on June 8, 2022.
However this fight goes, win or lose, it is a triumph for Kyle O’Reilly to know he worked his way back into fighting condition after staring the end of his career, and frankly his life as he knew it, right in the eyes. It’s not an easy thing to come back from the brink, he could’ve slipped away and quietly thrown in the towel on his wrestling career, but instead he chose to fight for everything he loves, for everything from the ability to hold his child to the ability to throw a punch, and that is why this Saturday night is a type of victory no matter the result of the match. To be able to claim a win on top of that victory though, now that would be even sweeter…
TBS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…
The House of Black’s Julia Hart(c) vs. The Infantry’s Trish Adora
Making a decision while lost in the heat of anger is not always the best time for a potentially life-changing decision and yet here Julia Hart finds herself. Just days after being embarrassed by Mercedes Mone on DYNAMITE: BIG BUSINESS, the TBS Champion is throwing open the doors of The House once again for an Open Challenge, and this time the call is being answered by The Infantry’s Trish Adora!
Coming off a tremendous battle with Mariah May last Saturday night, Adora is looking to bolster her reputation as one of the best women competing today, and between the Mariah fight, her battle with Riho on RAMPAGE prior to that, the ROH Women’s World TV Title Tournament contest with Mercedes Martinez, and her NJPW STRONG Women’s Title bout with Giulia back in January, it’s hard to argue against Trish’s abilities. She simply needs to put it all together and she will be one of the deadliest women competing in AEW, ROH, or frankly anywhere else in the world, and there’s no better moment to pull it all together than this Saturday night when she enters The House for a TBS Championship Match!
This is first-time bout, meaning a case of neither woman having first-hand experience with the other, only knowing what they’ve seen on tape, and trying to figure out how to turn that into a formula for victory. We know Julia is going to be fighting angry, looking to hurt any woman who would’ve answered this Open Challenge, but will that be her undoing? Will her own emotions towards Mone and Willow Nightingale blind her from focusing on Trish Adora This could be the prime night for Adora to rock the foundations of The House and claim the TBS Championship for The Infantry!
AEW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT WILD CARD MATCH…

The brackets for the AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament have been set and we know the finals will take place at DYNASTY on April 21st in St. Louis, now it’s a matter of seeing which two teams survive the road to get there, with the Wild Card duos having the longest road to the top! The first of the two Wild Card match-ups takes place this Saturday night on COLLISION when The House of Black, honored by Brody King and Buddy Matthews, lock-up with The Infantry of Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean, with the winners moving on the Quarter-Final round to face FTR!
On paper it’s reasonable to assume The House moves through The Infantry to renew their rivalry with Cash and Dax, but after the confrontation that took place between Captain, Carlie, Cash, and Dax last week, it’s a safe bet that The Infantry is coming to Canada ready to go to war! They are unquestionably the underdogs in this entire tournament, meaning they are going to bring the fight to The House that much harder, and the fact that the teams in the Wild Card bouts have to win four matches to earn the vacant championship is not fact lost on any of them either. It’s an uphill battle for The Infantry, but one that the two veterans are more than willing to undertake in order to prove themselves the equals of the other teams slotted into the field. This could be The Infantry’s night to break out in front of the eyes of the world, or it could be the night The House of Black uses Bravo and Dean as examples to all others standing in their path to tag team glory!
FIGHTING FOR FAMILY…
“Cool Hand” Angelo Parker vs. Zak Knight
It’s clear as crystal that Zak Knight, brother of Saraya, is unhinged, running around the backstage area assaulting random people at the behest of his sister, and doing her bidding when it comes to Angelo Parker. It’s also evident that Parker isn’t just going to sit back and wait for the next attack, he’s taking the fight right to its source, and after what happened on RAMPAGE last night, that means a one-on-one fight this Saturday in Ottawa! While this may be Zak’s first fight inside an AEW ring, he put up a trio of dominating wins on HONOR CLUB earlier this year, and he’s got a career dating back to when he was just ten years old! He’s a violent man who enjoys the pain he inflicts on others, and with two vindictive people in Saraya and Harley Cameron at his side, this isn’t going to be a fight without its outside involvement. Hopefully Ruby Soho can provide some balance to that situation, otherwise Cool Hand Ang is going to be in for a rough night in Ottawa!

The AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament is fast approaching, and it’s been made abundantly clear by Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta that they aim to run the table in Chuck Taylor’s absence! In fact, the former 2-Time AEW International Champion and his best friend have made it a point to hone their tag team efficiency over the past week, scoring a victory over Kip Sabian and Butcher on the last RAMPAGE, traveling to ROH for a tag team win over Cole Karter & Griff Garrison, and now they’re back on RAMPAGE for another tag team contest!
Their opponents this week are a team that, rather surprisingly, are uniting for the very first time: Evil Uno and John Silver! Shockingly this is a Dark Order pairing that has never occurred before despite all their years standing together in The D.O., though they’ve been part of numerous trios and multi-man affairs. It is a similar situation to Trent and OC, this is only their third tag team outing, so essentially we’ve got two brand new teams trying to get prepared for the tag team tournament! Will this be a night for The Dark Order to rise up, or will the CHAOS Friends add another win to their growing resume?

The Undisputed Kingdom (AEW International Champion Roderick Strong & ROH World Tag Champions Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

REVOLUTION 2024 was a landmark night for The Undisputed Kingdom with Roderick Strong defeating Orange Cassidy to become the new AEW International Champion and Wardlow winning the All-Star 8-Man Scramble to earn a shot at Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship. Unfortunately for Wardlow and The UK, BIG BUSINESS was not his night to ascend to the top of the mountain as Samoa Joe emerged victorious in their TD Garden clash. It’s disappointing for The United Kingdom as a whole, of that there is no doubt, but at least on RAMPAGE they can try to reclaim a piece of the joy they felt on March 3rd.
This Friday night in Boston, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett will step into the ring for Trios competition and standing across from them will be Top Flight and Action Andretti! Now all three of these men have some history (Taven and Bennett fought Action and Darius in a Fight Without Honor during HONOR CLUB #12 last year, Roddy claimed Action aggravated his neck injury in their singles match last November), and after the incident between BC GOLD and The Acclaimed on Wednesday the Trios Division is certainly experiencing a shake-up, making this quite the intriguing fight!
SINGLES BOUT…
Komander vs. “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita
Takeshita is coming off one of the most unforgettable matches in AEW’s history with his bout at REVOLUTION 2024 against Will Ospreay, and though it may have been a loss for “The Alpha”, it still marked him as belonging in the upper echelon of professional wrestlers. For any who may have doubted his skill, that fight showed the world Takeshita gives as good as he gets with those considered the best in the world, and it’s only a matter of time before he claims a spot atop everyone’s list! This Friday night on RAMPAGE, “The Alpha” has an opportunity to add another battle to his list of memorable match-ups when he faces someone whose skill set swings the opposite direction of Ospreay, the high-flying, gravity-defying, rope-walking Komander!
The two actually met once in singles competition back in January 2023 during PWG’s BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES event, a bout won by Takeshita, and each was a participant in the 2023 Face of the Revolution Ladder Match won by Powerhouse Hobbs, so this is a chance for Komander to even the score with Takeshita for that BOLA loss, and score the biggest victory of his AEW tenure! AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…
Samoa Joe(c) vs. Wardlow
The history between AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and Wardlow runs a bit further back than just “The War Dog” winning the All-Star 8-Man Scramble at REVOLUTION 2024 to earn a World Title match. Back in the fall of 2022, for the better part of two months Joe and Wardlow operated as something of a tag team, even being dubbed WarJoe for their battles against The Varsity Athletes, Gates of Agony, and The Factory. It wasn’t the most stable of partnerships, but it seemed function enough until November 11, 2022 when all came crashing down after then-TNT Champion Wardlow told Powerhouse Hobbs he was going to take all the championships in the company while standing before then-ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe.
Joe did not take kindly to that sentiment, cracked Wardlow with his ROH title belt, and slapped a Choke on the TNT Champion. This led to Joe becoming the TNT Champion at FULL GEAR 2022 in a Three Way with Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs, and then beating Wardlow in a singles match at NEW YEARS SMASH 2022 to close out the year. Darby Allin would beat Joe a week later to end that reign, but Joe regained the TNT Championship in short order, only to have Wardlow snatch it away at REVOLUTION 2023 in Joe’s first defense of that second reign.
The two parted ways after that, Wardlow getting wrapped up with Powerhouse Hobbs while Joe continued his epic ROH World TV Title run as well as began his pursuit of MJF’s AEW World Championship. For Wardlow that path led to triumph and tragedy, losing the title to Hobbs just three days later, before regaining it for a third time, only to have it ripped away by Christian Cage and Luchas…Killswitch. After that, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to say that Wardlow floundered. He disappeared from television for four months, came back and resumed decimating one individual after another while sporting MJF’s initials on his wrist tape, but it wasn’t until the masks were ripped away, and he was revealed as member of the Undisputed Kingdom that things came into focus.
Wardlow, along with Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett, accomplished their larger goal of destroying MJF’s life by helping to weaken him for Samoa Joe to take the AEW World Championship at WORLDS END. Following that, each man declared their individual goals, and for Wardlow that meant taking what he felt he’d deserved since destroying MJF at DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2022: the AEW World Championship. All Wardlow had to do was find his angle to a championship opportunity, and that came in Greensboro when he won the All-Star Scramble and earned a future title match, a result that occurred just a couple hours before Samoa Joe survived both Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland to retain the AEW World Championship.
With the title match in place, all that was needed was setting the date in stone, and that happened last Wednesday night on DYNAMITE following Joe and Swerve’s tag team victory over Wardlow’s partners in the Undisputed Kingdom, your ROH World Tag Team Champions Taven and Bennett. This Wednesday night, when AEW returns to TD Garden for the first time since BLOOD & GUTS 2023, it will be BIG BU$INESS, and there isn’t much that’s bigger business than the AEW World Championship! In this rubber match, Wardlow gets his very first crack at the most coveted championship in professional wrestling, and he does it knowing that the last time he met Samoa Joe one-on-one, he was the won who walked away with a championship title around his waist!
What’s rather frightening though is the difference between Samoa Joe circa March 2023 and Samoa Joe in March 2024; though he has always been one of the most intimidating men in wrestling today, the last 75 days have seen Joe unleash an intensity unfamiliar to AEW audiences. It was as if his pursuit of the AEW World Championship began to open a door he’d left closed for many years, and the first night he walked onto DYNAMITE as the AEW World Champion, said door swung wide open and the landscape of AEW quaked in fear. This is Joe unleashed, this is Joe with everything he’s wanted from the moment he came to All Elite Wrestling, and this is a Samoa Joe who will stop at nothing to make sure it remains his forevermore. It may sound trite to say that the person who beats Joe may have to kill him, but with one look at the way Joe carries that AEW World Title, it’s hard to not take that as his truth.
This Wednesday night in Boston, Wardlow is going to have to find a way to break Joe like no one ever has before in order to become the AEW World Champion, but if he can maintain that fury, if he can keep that righteous anger burning, then Wardlow may be able to do just that. All eyes will be on the TD Garden this Wednesday night, can Wardlow become the champion he’s longed to be in front of their gaze?

The Elite (Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson, & Nicholas Jackson)
vs.
Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston & Death Triangle (PAC & Penta El Zero Miedo)
Last week on DYNAMITE, “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada made his first appearance for All Elite Wrestling as a certified member of AEW locker room, and while that should’ve been a joyous occasion, it was marred by the former multi-time IWPG Heavyweight Champion signing on with The Elite following The EVPs official dismissal of Kenny Omega and Hangman Page. As if that wasn’t disappointing enough, Okada made that choice at the expense of Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston, and when Kingston tried for a measure of revenge on COLLISION a few days later, he paid for it then as well; at least until “The Bastard” PAC made his return to AEW
Now we come to BIG BU$INESS this Wednesday night at the TD Garden, and the challenge laid out by Kingston Saturday night. A Trios bout between this new Elite and the rather wild combination of the Continental Crown Champion, Penta El Zero Miedo, and “The Bastard”! One would have to go back nearly three years, to one of the finals events of AEW’s extended stay at Daily’s Place, to find the last time those three men stood together on the same side, coincidentally enough it was also in opposition to The Young Bucks, albeit with Brandon Cutler as their third. Kingston and Penta are close, though it hasn’t always been the easiest of roads, but PAC and Eddie aren’t exactly best friends. Still, they’ve proven they can function as a unit when driven by mutual goals, and eradicating this version of The Elite right out of the gate is certainly a goal worth fighting for.
Make no mistake, this is a pivotal fight in the careers of all men involved; it’s the first big match of Okada’s new endeavor as Elite, it’s PAC’s return to the fold for the first time since July 26th, and it’s AEW’s return to TD Garden! Who will rise in the face of the increased heat of the spotlight that’ll be shone on this match, as well as the entire BIG BU$INESS event?
Before the dust had even settled in Greensboro, before the crew had even finished tearing down the REVOLUTION 2024 set, AEW GM Tony Khan had announced that Darby Allin would fight ROH World Six-Man Champion “Switchblade” Jay White at DYNAMITE: BIG BUSINESS! At the moment Darby was informed of this, during the Media Scrum following the pay-per-view, he certainly didn’t look to be in any condition for a fight of this caliber, but anyone who’s paid attention to the career of the former World Tag Team Champion knows that he won’t let anything stop him from entering the fight, not even an impending trip to Mt. Everest on March 27th.
But will Darby Allin be in any condition to make that trip after this Wednesday night’s fight with “Switchblade” Jay White? After the words exchanged last week between Darby and “King Switch”, this bout has heated up quite quickly, and is a huge part of AEW’s return to TD Garden!
Given that Jay White is perpetually supported by The Gunns, Austin and Colten, the question has to be asked if they will get themselves involved in the bout? Or will the influence of The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass actually sway The Bang Bang Gang to fight on the up-and-up? As for Darby, what does his future look like in the post-Sting landscape of All Elite Wrestling? With so much of his last three years spent at Sting’s side, how will the former 2-Time TNT Champion move forward in his career standing by himself? This Wednesday night, as part of BIG BU$INESS, we will all see what the future entails!
SINGLES MATCH…
Willow Nightingale vs. Riho
A week ago former TBS Champion Kris Statlander stepped into the ring for a fight with original AEW Women’s World Champion Riho for the first time in four years, and though it was a hard-fought battle from Stat, it was Riho who took home the victory, moving herself one step closer to a potential championship bout.
But Riho and Kris Statlander aren’t the only women looking for a title opportunity, former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale is also on the hunt for the TBS Championship around Julia Hart’s waist, and just like her tag partner, the road also goes through Riho! Prior to this, the only engagement between the two women took place on the November 14, 2022 edition of DARK: ELEVATION when they teamed up to defeat Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga, a match that coincidentally also took place in Boston, just four miles away at Agganis Arena.
Will Willow win out where Kris Statlander came up short one week ago? And how will Stokely Hathaway play a role in this bout because, let’s face it, he can’t help but find a way to insert himself into any match…
TAG TEAM BOUT…
FTW Champion HOOK & Chris Jericho vs. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona)
It’s an unlikely alliance yet here we are; Chris Jericho and FTW Champion HOOK are set to stand on the same side of the ring with The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) standing in opposition. All of this stems from the All-Star 8-man at REVOLUTION 2024, Jericho and HOOK’s participation in the match, HOOK’s rivalry with Brian Cage, and his victory over “The Machine” last week on DYNAMITE! It all coalesced into Jericho assisting HOOK, HOOK assisting the OG AEW World Champion, and now this tag team bout between The Gates of Agony and HOOK/Jericho. Jericho has some experience with The Gates after defeating them with Kenny Omega as his partner, but HOOK has never set foot in the ring with either Toa Liona or Bishop Kaun, and given that he and Jericho are entering into this unity for the first time, it’s going to be quite interesting to see how they function as a unit.
The Gates ended their 2023 as participants in the NJPW World Tag League, scoring four points overall, but in 2024 they’ve taken a step back from Mogul Embassy business as Swerve Strickland made it a point to pursue his AEW World Championship dreams without Embassy involvement. That’s done now; Kaun and Toa are back in business this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE, and they aim to deliver a message to everyone in the AEW locker room by decimating the original AEW World Champ and the current FTW Champion!

Caster flubbed his rap at the end and seemed a bit rattled. Caster hit the Scissor Me Timbers on Marq Quen. Lethal interfered and Quen dropkicked Colten. Jeff Jarrett tagged in and did the Fargo strut after Karen choked Colten when the ref had his back turned. Willie Mack walloped Colten with a massive lariat. Satnam Singh sent Bowens for a ride, hurling him halfway across the ring. Lethal followed up with a delayed vertical suplex on Bowens, showing off his strength. Jarrett, as cunning as they come, tagged in and stomped on Bowens. Anthony Bowens bounced back with a neck breaker on Jeff Jarrett.
Daddy Ass made the tag and cleaned house until Satnam Singh tripped him from outside the ring. Private Party, Willie Mack, and Jay Lethal blasted Billy Gunn with a flurry of offense. Mack went for the frog splash, but Billy rolled out of the way. The Bang Bang Scissor Gang turned the tables on the opposition. Jay White chop blocked Satnam and Billy followed up with the fame-asser. Jay White drilled Mack with the Blade Runner and scored the pin!
“Things working out once again for the Bang Bang Scissor Gang,” said Excalibur.
Jay White: “Yo! Listen! See Max, it’s not that hard. Guns up! Now I’m always telling the gang about how much I love Greensboro. So, what better place to have an event like AEW Revolution! We are the greatest faction in the greatest professional wrestling company, All Elite Wrestling. The Bang Bang Scissor Gang is led by one of the greatest of all time. And I can remind all of you at any time what made me the “Catalyst” of professional wrestling. In 10 days, in Boston on Wednesday, March 13th, maybe I’ll handle some big business of my own!”
Lexy Nair was backstage with Doc Sampson, the Best Friends, and AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy!
Orange: “Tonight I want you guys to stay in the back. I’m sick and tired of my friends getting hurt because of me. I’ll handle this by myself.”
A vignette aired for the impending return of “The Bastard” PAC!
Skye Blue took some wild swings at Willow and Kris, but Kris whipped Blue into the turnbuckles. Skye tagged out to Julia, but Statlander body slammed Julia. Willow entered the match and connected with a running crossbody for a near fall on Julia. Kris blistered Julia with stiff chops and followed up with a back suplex.
Julia dodged a high boot from Willow. Skye Blue punted Willow in the back. Skye and Julia double teamed Willow in their corner, isolating her with quick tags. Kris tagged in and fired shots to Julia and Skye. She took both of them down with a jumping double elbow. Julia Hart had a blind tag and clubbed Kris from behind with a running lariat. Willow ran toward the corner and nailed Skye with a senton. Willow drilled Julia with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
Skye Blue tagged in and walloped Willow with a thrust kick. Willow dropkicked Skye off the middle rope. Kris tagged in and slugged it out with Julia in the center of the ring. Julia connected with a moonsault press to Kris. Julia covered Statlander but Willow ran in to break up the cover. Statlander clobbered Julia and Skye with a double lariat. Willow rocked Skye with the pounce! Willow planted Skye with the Doctor Bomb and pinned Skye Blue!
The main portion of the card kicked off with Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Nigel McGuinness at the broadcast booth.
TNT Championship Match!
“The Patriarch” Christian Cage (c.) (with Nick Wayne, Mother Wayne, & Killswitch)
vs. Daniel Garcia!
Christian Cage crunched Garcia with a perfectly executed neck breaker. Garcia rallied back with swift strikes, backing Christian into the corner. Christian Cage shoved Garcia to the arena floor and the leaped over the ring post, down onto Garcia!
Nick Wayne charged at Garcia, but Garcia backdropped him, with Wayne crashing onto the timekeeper’s table. Garcia willed himself back onto the ring apron and landed a series of shots on Christian Cage. Garcia connected with a running forearm. Garcia pulled Christian’s turtleneck over Christian’s head and blasted him with strikes.
Daniel Garcia whipped Christian Cage into the steel ring steps. Christian Cage retreated to the relative safety of the ring. Christian went for a diving headbutt, but Garcia dodged it and countered with an ankle lock! Christian escaped but Daniel Garcia planted him with a suplex. Garcia was looking for a piledriver, but Chrisitan Cage countered with a catapult to the corner. Christian had the ref distracted while Killswitch choke slammed Garcia. Christian Cage nailed Garcia with frog splash for a near fall. Killswitch was going to interfere again, but “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard ran down to even up the odds for Garcia! Menard and Killswitch brawled at ringside! Christian attempted the spear, but his leg gave out. Garcia grabbed him and spiked him with a piledriver for a two-count!
“So close!” said Excalibur.
Garcia almost scored the victory with a jackknife pin, but Christian grabbed the ropes. Mother Wayne jumped onto the apron to distract the ref, while a lurking Nick Wayne rocked Garcia, whiplashing Garcia’s neck on the ropes! Christian Cage smashed Garcia with the Killswitch and pinned Garcia!

Continental Crown Championship Match!
Eddie Kingston (c.) vs. “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson!
Kingston headbutted Danielson and hit a backdrop driver early on. Kingston followed up with a tope suicida. Kingston chopped Danielson on the apron but after luring Kingston in, Kingston inadvertently struck the ring post with his hand! Danielson suplexed Kingston off the apron and onto the arena floor!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Danielson began to punish Kingston’s right arm with kicks. Danielson’s gameplan was clear: take away Kingston’s ability to chop and strike. Danielson jumped off the top turnbuckle, but Kingston caught him and countered with an exploder suplex.
Danielson retaliated with a dragon suplex, Kingston landing high on his neck. Danielson employed chops and kicks on Kingston in the corner. Kingston knocked Danielson back with a headbutt. Danielson climbed back up the turnbuckles and stunned Kingston with a butterfly suplex off the turnbuckles.
Kingston played possum and wrecked Danielson with a spinning backfist. Kingston followed up with a Northern Lights Bomb for a near fall on Danielson! Somehow Danielson found the energy to smash Kingston with a running knee strike. Danielson covered Kingston but Kingston found the energy deep down to survive and kicked out at the two-count! Danielson captured the wrists of Kingston and stomped Kingston. Danielson locked Kingston in the triangle sleeper. Eddie managed to reach the ropes with his boot, forcing the ref to break the hold.
Kingston taunted Danielson, inviting him to strike him. Danielson kicked at Kingston. Danielson sent Kingston flying with a suplex, but Kingston got right back up! This time it was Kingston who dished out the pain, suplexing Danielson. The fans got to their feet and applauded both competitors!
Kingston and Danielson traded rapid fire strikes. Danielson was dazed. Kingston drove his knee into the head of Danielson. Kingston power bombed Danielson and pinned him!
“And now Bryan Danielson must shake Kingston’s hand!” said Nigel.
Danielson lived up to his word, showed respect to Kingston, and the two shook hands!
All-Star 8-Man Scramble Match!
FTW Champion HOOK vs. “The Machine” Brian Cage vs. Dante Martin vs. “The Ocho” Chris Jericho vs. “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer vs. CMLL’s Magnus vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Wardlow!

Taz joined the commentary team for this match.
Adam Cole was rolled out on a wheelchair by ROH Tag Champs Mike Bennett and Matt Taven to accompany Wardlow to the ring.
“It’s every man for himself,” said Taz.
Wardlow and Hobbs joined forces to beat down Jericho. Cage press slammed Hook over the top rope and to the floor. Wardlow looked at the Tron and began to flex. Archer clocked Cage with a big boot. Wardlow and Archer exchanged strikes. Archer walked the top rope and backflipped onto Wardlow. Archer tried a second time, but this time Hobbs spiked him with a spinebuster.
Magnus and Dante paired off, while Hook and Jericho tangled with one another. Jericho jumped over the ring post and crashed onto Hobbs on the arena floor. Dante flew through the ropes with a tope to Wardlow. Hook climbed to the top and took flight, landing with a double sledge to Cage on the floor.
Dante connected with a crossbody to Jericho for a near fall. Magnus clocked Dante with a cutter for a two-count. Archer hip tossed Magnus off the ropes. Archer planted Magnus with a chokeslam for a near fall. Jericho and Magnus double suplexed Archer and they both followed up with stereo lionsaults on Archer!
Hobbs bulldozed Archer with a running powerslam. Brian Cage hurled Hobbs with a backdrop suplex. Wardlow rocked Cage, Archer, and Magnus with German Suplexes. Hook jumped on Wardlow’s back, looking to lock on Red Rum. Jericho came in and put Wardlow in the Lion Tamer while Hook still had Red Rum locked in. Cage broke up the submissions but Hook German Suplexed Cage for his efforts!
Hobbs massacred Jericho with the World’s Most Dangerous Slam on the arena floor! Hobbs charged at Jericho but Jericho blinded Hobbs with a canister of liquid fog from the fog machine. Wardlow took Cage down with a lariat. Wardlow power bombed Cage. Meanwhile Dante planted Magnus on the mat. Hook went back for the Red Rum on Wardlow, but Wardlow escaped and headbutted Hook. Wardlow clobbered Dante with a power bomb and pinned Dante Martin!
“Action from bell to bell!” said Excalibur.
“What a battle,” added Taz.
AEW International Championship Match!
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (c.) vs. Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong!
Strong targeted Orange’s back, nailing Orange with repeated back breakers. Roddy chopped away at Orange in the corner. Orange retaliated with elbow strikes. Roderick picked up Orange Cassidy and gut wrench power bombed Orange onto the top turnbuckle and ropes! Roddy grabbed Orange by the arms and began to wrench back against the ring post, making it difficult for Orange to breathe.
“Roderick really has Orange in a bad way,” said Schiavone.
Roderick countered Orange’s swinging DDT with a rib breaker! Roddy put Orange in the Strong Hold! Orange willed himself to the bottom rope and grabbed it. Strong put Orange back in the Strong Hold! Cassidy escaped and this time connected with a DDT to Strong. Orange Cassidy followed up with a diving DDT for a near fall!
Orange rocked Roderick with the Panama Sunrise for a near fall! Roderick dodged the Orange Punch and countered with a back breaker. Orange fired back with the Orange Punch! Orange blasted Roddy with the Beach Break, but Roddy escaped the pin by touching the bottom rope with his boot. Orange got to his feet, but Roderick was there, pulping Orange with the End of Heartache and pinning Orange!
And new AEW International Champion…Roderick Strong!
Kyle O’Reilly made his return! Kyle came into the ring and he and Roderick embraced one another. Mike Bennett took off the Undisputed Kingdom t-shirt he was wearing and handed it to Kyle. Kyle handed the shirt back, whispered something into Roderick’s ear, and left the ring!
“Kyle looks pretty emotional as he’s walking away,” said Schiavone.

The Blackpool Combat Club—Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley
vs.
FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood!
Mox and Claudio came to the ring wearing spiked shoulder pads, eager to snack on danger and dine on death!
Claudio and Dax traded cradles and pinning combinations at the start of the match, both going for the win early on. They exchanged open palm strikes. Claudio decked Dax with a European Uppercut.
Mox grabbed a tag, as did Cash. Cash Wheeler ran into Mox with a shoulder tackle. Moxley fired in chops, but Cash came back with a big back body drop to Moxley. Dax took down Claudio with a drop toe hold and Cash hit an elbow drop on Claudio, FTR putting their famous tandem offense on display.
Moxley and Cash brawled in the front row! Moxley returned Cash to the ring and Claudio came in with a gut wrench to Cash. Claudio hammered Cash with a clothesline. Dax was busted wide open as he collided with the steel ring post, courtesy of Claudio. Claudio hoisted up Dax for an Air Raid Crash and Moxley jumped off the top rope, spiking Dax.
Dax and Moxley swung at each other with wild forearms and then right hands! Dax power bombed Moxley. Dax held up Moxley for a piledriver while Cash stuffed him from the top rope! Cash connected with a tope to Claudio! Dax was looking for the power plex on Moxley, but Claudio knocked Cash down. Moxley put Dax on his shoulders and Claudio rocked Dax with a European Uppercut Doomsday Device!
The fans chanted “A-E-W! A-E-W! A-E-W!”
FTR went for the Shatter Machine, but Claudio blocked it! Moxley clocked Cash with a cutter while Claudio put Dax in the Giant Swing! Moxley dropkicked Dax as Claudio was swinging Dax!
The fans chanted “Fight forever! Fight forever!”
FTR finally nailed Mox with the Shatter Machine. Dax had Moxley covered but Claudio pulled Dax off Moxley and out of the ring! Cash flew out of the ring with a tope, but Claudio countered with a European Uppercut! Claudio nailed Cash with a Neutralizer on the arena floor. Dax was right there, though, and hit Claudio with a piledriver!
Back in the ring, Moxley drilled Dax with a Death Rider for a near fall! Moxley applied a rear choke. Cash jumped in to try to break up the submission, but Claudio grabbed him and put Cash in a rear naked choke! Moxley sat back with his submission and put Dax to sleep! The BCC won the match via ref stoppage!
“Classic match! I loved it!” said Taz.
AEW Women’s World Championship Match!
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c.) vs. “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo!
Toni Storm trolled Deonna, sending Mariah May dressed up in Toni’s throwback ring attire.
Deonna and Toni chain wrestled at the start of the match. Deonna baited in Toni and tried for an arm bar, but Toni got to the ropes. Deonna hit Toni with a shoulder tackle. Toni rolled to the outside, trying to collect her thoughts. Deonna caught Toni off guard with a sliding dropkick.
Toni mule kicked Deonna as the ref had her back turned. Toni headbutted Deonna, her confidence growing as she gained more control over her challenger. Deonna slapped Toni across the cheek. Toni fired back. Deonna hammered the jaw of her former friend with elbow strikes. Deonna pump kicked Toni in the face.
Toni tripped Deonna in the corner. Toni smashed Deonna with the running hip attack and followed up with a DDT for a near fall! Toni tripped Deonna and was looking for the Break A Leg submission. Deonna rolled out of it. Deonna pump kicked Toni and Toni fell into Luther’s arms. Deonna jumped off the ropes and wiped out both of them on the outside! Deonna applied the Fujiwara arm bar. Toni was tapping to the Venus De Milo, but Luther distracted the ref. Mariah May jumped on the ring apron and distracted Deonna. When Deonna turned around, Toni drilled Deonna with a piledriver and pinned her.
The Don Callis Family’s “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita

The Don Callis Family’s Will Ospreay!
Don Callis joined the commentary team for this match.
“This is the match of the decade!” said Don Callis.
“The match hasn’t even happened yet,” replied Tony.
“I can say that because these are the two best rope to rope wrestlers in the world,” said Callis.
“I hate to agree with Don,” said Excalibur.
Will took Takeshita down with a hurracanrana. Takeshita fired back with the Takeshita Line! Takeshita hit a delayed vertical suplex off the ropes. Ospreay rallied back with a corkscrew kick and then jumped over the top rope, landing on Takeshita on the floor mats.
Ospreay hit Takeshita with Kawada kicks to the face. Takeshita retaliated with a dive over the top rope and onto Will with all of his body weight! Takeshita tried for a senton off the top, but Will countered by raising his knees into Takeshita’s back. Takeshita wasted no time, though, wiping out Will with a German Suplex. Takeshita charged at Will, but Will countered with a Spanish Fly!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Will took down Takeshita with a spinning kick to the face. Will Ospreay had Takeshita in trouble with a rolling elbow strike. Takeshita rocked Ospreay with a shot of his own! Will planted Takeshita with a Tiger Driver for a near fall!
Takeshita countered an Os Cutter with a Blue Thunder Bomb! Ospreay dodged a flurry of strikes and landed the Os Cutter on Takeshita. Will attempted the Hidden Blade but Takeshita had it scouted and countered it with his own strike for a near fall.
Takeshita blocked a hurracanrana from the top and countered with a brutal brain buster off the top rope! Ospreay found his footing somehow and took down Takeshita with a Poison Rana. Takeshita trucked Will with a running lariat. Ospreay countered a jumping knee with a Styles Clash!
“Who in the hell is going to win this thing? My God!” said Schiavone.
Ospreay nailed Takeshita with a Tiger Driver 91, smashed Takeshita with the Hidden Blade, and pinned Takeshita!
“We all won tonight, guys. The family is stronger than ever,” said Callis.
“That was unbelievable. We will never forget this one,” added Schiavone.
ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher came down to the ring and hugged his best friend Will Ospreay.
“I’ve just been informed that coming up this Wednesday on Dynamite it’ll be Kyle Fletcher against Will Ospreay, one on one!” said Excalibur.
AEW World Championship Match!
Samoa Joe (c.) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland!
Jim Ross joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Samoa Joe took the fight to Page and Strickland. Hangman hit a fallaway slam on Swerve, but Swerve popped right up and hit Hangman with a high boot. Samoa Joe power bombed Hangman and transitioned to the STF. Samoa Joe was looking for a muscle buster on Swerve, as Joe had Swerve in the ropes. Samoa Joe headbutted Swerve and knocked him to the arena floor.
Hangman and Swerve teamed up and double power bombed Samoa Joe off the top turnbuckle. Hangman Page and Swerve tore each other apart with strikes in the middle of the ring. Swerve developed a mouse under his eye. Swerve laughed at Hangman. Page was looking for Dead Eye, but Swerve countered with a sunset flip until Samoa Joe broke up the pin attempt.
Hangman hoisted up Swerve with a tombstone piledriver. Once again Samoa Joe jumped in to break up the pin attempt. Hangman booted Samoa Joe, catching him flush on the chin. Swerve snatched up Hangman in a vertical suplex and went for the cover, and Samoa Joe was there to break up the pin attempt once again.
Samoa Joe planted Hangman with the Muscle Buster. Swerve connected with the Swerve Stomp on Samoa Joe and followed up with the House Call. Instead of going for the cover on Samoa Joe, Swerve rocked Page with the House Call to the back of the head for a two-count!
Swerve squashed Samoa Joe with a 450 splash! Samoa Joe was clutching his ribs. Swerve nailed Joe with the Swerve Stomp! Samoa Joe kicked out, and then Page pulled the ref out of the ring! Hangman grabbed the World title and smashed Swerve in the head with it!
“Ref Paul Turner is face first on the floor here,” said Schiavone.
Hangman connected with the Buckshot Lariat on Samoa Joe! Hangman hit Joe with a second Buckshot Lariat and went for the pin. Another ref ran down to make the count, but Samoa Joe kicked out at the two-count. Samoa Joe grabbed Hangman in a submission, but Swerve jumped off the top rope with a sky twister press, throwing his body onto the pile to break it up!
“Adam Page was likely on the verge of tapping out,” said Excalibur.
Prince Nana handed Swerve Nana’s crown. Swerve threw it back, saying he didn’t need it. Samoa Joe grabbed Swerve in a rear naked choke, but Swerve countered, rolling up Joe. Hangman Page jumped into the ring and began to hammer the referee in the back of the head, and then threw the ref out of the ring!
Samoa Joe was looking for the Muscle Buster on Swerve but Page smashed Joe with the Buckshot Lariat. Swerve served up one of his own Buckshot Lariats to Page! Swerve drilled Page with the JML Driver! Samoa Joe jumped in and put the half and half on Hangman, trapping Page. Hangman Page tapped out!
“Samoa Joe wins it, and what a fight it was!” said Jim Ross.
“Was Hangman Page tapping out because he was trapped in the grips of Samoa Joe or was he tapping to deny Swerve?” asked Excalibur.
“You can tell Swerve is heartbroken, but he will have another shot down the road,” added Tony Schiavone.

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair came to the ring! Next came the special guest timekeeper, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat!
Sting’s sons were by his side, each representing a different era of Sting’s career.
The match started off with a bang! Sting hit the Stinger splash on the Bucks while Darby connected with Coffin Splashes. Sting’s sons got in the ring and delivered Stinger splashes on the Bucks, getting retribution for when the Bucks attacked them on Dynamite! Sting applied a double Scorpion Death Lock on the Bucks, but they managed to escape.
The fans chanted “Thank you Sting! Thank you Sting!”
Sting whipped Matthew and Nicholas into the barricade. Sting smacked the Bucks with a steel chair. Sting’s sons set up tables around the ring, and Darby brought out a ladder. Matthew went for a piledriver on the floor but Sting countered with a back drop. Darby jumped off the ring post with a Coffin Drop to the Bucks on the floor!
Sting pulled a pane of glass out from beneath the ring. Sting pulled out another pane of glass. Sting’s sons and Darby placed the panes of glass across chairs at ringside. The Bucks tried to retreat through the crowd, but Darby and Sting chased after them. Nicholas walloped Darby with a Falcon Arrow off the stage and through tables. Matthew Jackson gouged at Sting’s eyes. Matthew suplexed Sting off the stage and through tables on the side of the stage!
Nicholas propped up a ladder on the turnbuckles. Matthew Jackson power bombed Darby against the ladder! Darby drilled Nicholas with a stunner and then nailed Matthew with a Code Red! Darby rammed Nicholas’ head into the steel ring steps. Darby climbed up and jumped off the top of the ladder that was set up in the ring, but Matthew pulled Nicholas out of the way just in time. This proved to be extremely costly for Darby, as his body crashed through the pane of glass below!
“Look at all those lacerations on the back of Darby,” said Excalibur.
“Yeah, he could bleed out,” replied Jim Ross.
The Bucks double teamed Sting in the ring as Doc Sampson checked on Darby on the outside. Sting fought off the Bucks and set Matthew on a table. Sting climbed the ladder, but Matthew met him up there and power bombed him down through a table! Sting popped right up!
“It’s Sting!” said Tony Schiavone.
“Unbelievable!” added Excalibur.
The Bucks grabbed Sting and whipped him into a pane of glass that was propped against the turnbuckles, sending shards of glass everywhere! Matthew Jackson kicked Sting with a low blow. Matthew planted Sting with the Scorpion Death Drop for a near fall.
“There are car crashes, and then there is this,” said Excalibur.
Nicholas Jackson went to grab one of the Tag Championships so he could use it as a weapon. Ricky Steamboat saw what was about to happen and yanked it away from Nicholas. Matthew Jackson clocked Steamboat with a steel chair! Ric Flair rolled into the ring to check on Sting. Matthew grabbed one of the tag belts and was about to blast Sting with it, but the “Nature Boy” acted as a human shield and begged Matthew not to do it. The Young Bucks blasted Ric Flair with superkicks!
Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat jumped onto the ring apron, but the Bucks rocked him with stereo superkicks too!
“Flair is out, Steamboat is out!” said Jim Ross.
“The Bucks are trying to wipe out every one of the icons,” replied Tony Schiavone.
Matthew Jackson smashed the tag belt in Sting’s face. Matthew covered Sting but Sting kicked out! The Bucks dished out a pair of superkicks to Sting but Sting did not leave his feet! Sting beat his chest and bulldozed the Bucks with clotheslines. Sting drilled Matthew with a Scorpion Death Drop! Sting went for the cover, but Nicholas broke up the pin. Sting tried for another Scorpion Death Drop but Matthew countered, pulled Sting down with a snap mare. The Bucks eviscerated Sting with the EVP Trigger! Matthew covered Sting but Sting kicked out at the two-count!
The Bucks nailed Sting with another EVP Trigger. Matthew covered Sting but Sting kicked out at the one-count and laughed! The Bucks set up Sting for the TK Driver, but Darby appeared out of nowhere and shoved Nicholas off the top rope! Nicholas crashed through ringside table! Sting planted Matthew with the Scorpion Death Drop but Matthew managed to kick out somehow! Sting held onto Matthew while Darby nailed Matthew with the Coffin Drop! Sting applied the Scorpion Death Lock and Matthew tapped out!
“My God what a scene! What an unbelievable scene!” said Jim Ross.
And still undefeated AEW World Tag Team Champions…Darby Allin and Sting! (16-0)
“This is what life is all about,” said Jim Ross.
“This is what AEW is all about. You know what’s great about Sting? He is a better man than he is a pro wrestler,” replied Tony Schiavone.
The fans chanted “Thank you Sting! Thank you Sting! Thank you Sting!”
Sting: “Thank you Greensboro. To be honest with you, I’ve been thanking you all since March of 1988. The Nature Boy and Sting 45 minute draw for the World title. Thank you, Ric. I just want this to be a night that wrestling fans will not forget. A night of wrestling that will be etched in your mind for years to come. And it is me saying this is a night that I will never forget!

Opening the show: “Hangman” Adam Page had an important announcement ahead of this Sunday’s REVOLUTION pay-per-view!
“Hangman” Adam Page came to the ring using a crutch.
Adam Page: “Looks doesn’t look like a promising start to a speech, does it? When All Elite Wrestling started it was a new endeavor for my friends, but for me it was something different. It was a goal. It was an opportunity to rise to people’s expectations, to make the most of the world that was laid in front of me. And I’d like to think I did that, and I’d like to think of winning the World championship in 2021 as the biggest accomplishment of my career. That’s why it hurts so much to have that opportunity in front of me again and have this crutch.
“When AEW decided at REVOLUTION the World championship would be decided in a three-way match, I said it was B.S. and I meant it. And I suggested the World championship should be decided in a singles match, but it looks like I had the wrong two competitors.
“So, I’m not going to apologize to Swerve or to Samoa Joe, but I will tell you, because I need to tell you the truth because I’m always honest with you that this Sunday at REVOLUTION I will not be able to compete.”
Swerve Strickland’s music began to play! Swerve walked onto the ramp with Prince Nana and then made his way to the ring.
Swerve: “These last six months, man, we’ve been to war. I tried to kill you, you tried to kill me. I didn’t expect this to happen. I targeted you because of everything you’ve accomplished in AEW. And to say I didn’t have the utmost respect for you because of that would be a flat out lie. But you suffered this unfortunate fate. And the thing about fate, you can’t escape it and you can’t stop destiny. And my destiny awaits for me this Sunday as I go on to become the AEW World champion.”
AEW World champion Samoa Joe walked onto the ramp with a microphone!
Samoa Joe: “Destiny? You boys are out here talking about destiny. What do we have here? Two of the most bitter enemies every trying to hug it out. A lot of lies being told out here so allow me to correct them and tell this audience a few truths. Week after week I watched you boys stare daggers into each other thinking that the destiny of this World championship was tearing the other man’s throat out. That’s only because you were avoiding making eye contact with me and realizing who the real man around here is.
“Secondly, though I don’t quite understand the little dynamic here and whether you’re in or not, ‘Hangman,’ or should I call you ‘Hop-along,’ I keep hearing about how you’re both young, hungry championship contenders but that’s ridiculous. You both are battle tested warriors in that ring. And there’s nothing new about you. No, you’re hungry accomplished wrestlers. But the only reason you’re hungry is because I’m starving your ass. Let me explain to you who I am and what you really need to be worried about. I’m Samoa Joe. I’m the AEW World champion. And whether it’s one of you or both of you come REVOLUTION, I’m going to whoop both your asses.”
Swerve: “Now you wait a second, Joe, because I’m going to explain to you who the hell I am! I am someone who has gone from being unemployed to headlining pay-per-views! I went from someone that went from being a cruiserweight to going after the World championship! I’ll do whatever it takes to become World champion! I’m not only a career maker, but I’m also a career changer! After I take the championship away from you, you’re not going to know what to do with yourself! You might want to go back to commentary wearing a poncho again. I am on the verge of making history! And this Sunday at REVOLUTION I will become the AEW World champion!”
“Hangman” Adam Page crack Swerve across the back with his crutch!
“Look at him! Hangman’s not injured at all!” said Excalibur.
Hangman bashed the crutch into Swerve’s head and Samoa Joe relished every moment from the ramp.
“Hangman was lying this entire time!” said Excalibur.
“He won’t be champion! I’ll be champion, damn it!” screamed Hangman Page.
“Hangman is saying he’s going to be champion so apparently it’s still a three way match this Sunday at REVOLUTION live on pay-per-view,” said Excalibur.
Hangman stormed to the back, no problem putting weight on his ankle, while a referee and Prince Nana helped Swerve get to his feet.
Footage aired from earlier in the day of EVPs The Young Bucks—Matthew and Nicholas Jackson—arriving to the arena. Renee Paquette was there to interview them and ask about their meeting with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair!
Nicholas Jackson: “The meeting went great and that’s all I’ll say about that.”
Matthew Jackson: “Renee, have you seen Sting at all today? Because as this is his final Dynamite appearance, we’re just dying to see him and thank him for all his contributions to this company. And more importantly, we just want to conduct his exit interview.”
The Bucks laughed as they held white baseball bats.
Nicholas Jackson: “Sting, where you at? Cameraman, you’re going to want to follow us to see what we do to Sting.”
The Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & Jon Moxley!
Claudio was perplexed as Kingston knocked him off his feet. Dax and Danielson tagged in for their respective teams. Dax hit Danielson with a shoulder block. Cash and Mox grabbed tags. Mox and Cash traded strikes in the corner. Both teams began to brawl, and the match quickly broke down!
Mox punched Cash in the face as Danielson held Cash back. Moxley applied a leg lock on Cash. Cash was able to escape and wiped out Mox with a hurracanrana. Dax tagged in and rocked Moxley with left jabs. Dax nailed Claudio with a neck breaker. Dax cradled Moxley for a near fall. Mox connected with a crossbody press on Moxley for a two-count.
Dax drilled Moxley with a Tiger Driver, but Danielson ran in to break up the pin attempt. Moxley rammed Dax into the steel ring post. Danielson grabbed Dax’s arm and wrenched on it. Then Danielson took down Kingston and hit a sliding dropkick on him on the arena floor.
Moxley and Claudio tied up Dax so Danielson could hit Dax with a diving headbutt. Kingston managed to tag in, and he and Danielson traded chops. Kingston sent Danielson flying with an exploder suplex. Kingston served up an exploder for Claudio. Kingston and Moxley blasted each other with strikes. Danielson booted Kingston. Claudio put Kingston in the Giant Swing and then Danielson dropkicked Eddie! Moxley spiked Kingston with a piledriver! Danielson covered Kingston for the pin, but Dax jumped in the ring to break it up.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
FTR cleaned house on Moxley and Claudio! Kingston cracked Danielson with a spinning backfist. FTR hit a diving bulldog on Danielson and Kingston covered Danielson for the pin, but Claudio and Mox broke it up!
All six men paired off and began to clobber each other with strikes. FTR connected with the Shatter Machine on Claudio! Mox DDT’ed Cash! Dax stunned Mox with a brain buster! Danielson charged at Dax with the running knee! Kingston went for the spinning backfist, but Danielson ducked it! Danielson sent Kingston overhead and to the mat with a shoulder capture suplex! Danielson drilled Kingston with the running knee! Danielson grabbed Kingston’s wrists and began to stomp on Kingston’s head. Danielson trapped Eddie in a triangle sleeper. The ref stopped the match and Danielson wouldn’t release the hold! The BCC won via ref stoppage!
Tony Schiavone was in the ring to welcome Will Ospreay to AEW!
Ospreay: “Guys, I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I just want to thank you for the reception. My obligations are done with New Japan. I’m here to say I’m here for full time work, I’m All Elite! But some of you are forgetting this isn’t my first rodeo here. On my first pay-per-view match, I beat Orange Cassidy in the center of this ring. Then I went over to Canada and beat Kenny Omega in front of 13,000 of his own people! And if that weren’t good enough, I pinned the first ever AEW World champion Chris Jericho at Wembley Stadium!
“I’ve been rolling with the Callis Family, everything’s been going smoothly, and I’m ready to pick up where I left off.”
Don Callis came to the ring with Powerhouse Hobbs and Takeshita!
Callis and Hobbs hugged Ospreay. Takeshita glared at Ospreay.
Callis: “There’s nothing I like more than a Don Callis Family reunion. When I think about the talent, I think about Fletcher, Hobbs, Takeshita, and Ospreay, and it’s an embarrassment of riches. I love when you talk about all of those things we accomplished together. We top that by having the match of the decade, with the two best rope to rope wrestlers in the world, Takeshita and Ospreay!
“And people ask me how I can pit two family members against each other. It’s like when Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen would go hard against each other in practice, then they’d come together and win championships. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which one of you wins at REVOLUTION, the real winner after this match will be the Don Callis Family. Now shake hands, guys, this is going to be history making.”
Ospreay extended his hand and smiled, and Takeshita pulled Ospreay in. Then Takeshita tried to walk away but Ospreay pulled him. They smirked at each other, ahead of their match this Sunday.
Renee Paquette was backstage to interview the disrespected Eddie Kingston!
The Young Bucks interrupted, asking if Kingston or Renee had seen Sting anywhere.
Matthew apologized and didn’t realize they were live. Nicholas pointed the baseball bat at Kingston and said he had a bone to pick with Kingston. Nicholas said that Kingston was talking crap on Collision, and the next time it’d be a fine.
AEW International Championship Open Challenge!
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (c.)
vs. Nick Wayne (with TNT Champion Christian Cage, Mother Wayne, and KillSwitch)!
Nick Wayne was looking for Wayne’s World early on, but Orange dodged it. Wayne followed up with a diving uppercut. Nick Wayne moonsaulted off the middle turnbuckle and landed on Cassidy on the arena floor.
Orange tried to put some distance between him and Nick Wayne, but Nick vaulted over the top rope again and crashed onto Orange. Nick Wayne and Orange Cassidy jockeyed for position on the top turnbuckle. Christian swept out Orange’s legs. The ref ejected the Patriarchy from ringside for interfering.
Orange Cassidy blasted Nick with a shotgun dropkick. Orange bounced Nick’s head off the turnbuckle pads. Orange planted Nick Wayne with a DDT for a near fall. Nick Wayne fired back with a fisherman’s suplex. Nick Wayne taunted Orange. Orange answered with a thrust kick. Orange pulped Wayne with a running PK! Orange rocked Wayne with a Beach Break for a near fall.
The Undisputed Kingdom—Mike Bennett and Matt Taven—showed up at ringside to mock Orange. Nick Wayne hit Orange with a dragon suplex as Orange was distracted by Taven and Bennett. Rocky Romero and Trent ran to ringside to even up the odds for Orange, brawling with Bennett and Taven. As the ref was dealing with the ringside brawl, Nick Wayne ripped off a turnbuckle pad. Daniel Garcia walked to ringside and began to argue with Nick Wayne. Garcia is set to wrestle Christian Cage this Sunday at REVOLUTION. Nick Wayne turned around and ate an Orange Punch from Cassidy, and Cassidy scored the pin!
Roderick Strong jumped in the ring, ambushing Orange Cassidy with a jumping knee strike!
Renee Paquette was backstage with the Bang Bang Scissor Gang!
They agreed they were gelling as a team, and on Collision this Saturday it’ll be Austin Gunn teaming with the Acclaimed.
Kris Statlander (with Stokely Hathaway and Willow Nightingale)
vs. Skye Blue (with TBS Champion Julia Hart)!
After an aggressive start by Skye, Kris flung Skye halfway across the ring. Skye escaped and body slam and yanked Kris down to the mat by her hair. Kris came back with a senton for a near fall.
Skye Blue cracked Kris with a knee to the face. Kris press slammed Blue over the barricade and onto fans at ringside! Back in the ring, they traded forearms. Kris hammered Skye with a lariat. Kris powerslammed Skye out of the corner for a two-count.
Skye came back with a neck breaker for a near fall. Statlander drilled Skye with a German Suplex on the apron! Julia Hart checked on Skye. Julia gave Kris a nasty look before Willow stepped up and got in Julia’s face. Statlander charged at Skye, but Skye countered with a drop toehold, bashing Statlander headfirst into the steel ring steps! Blue crushed Kris with a Canadian Destroyer! Skye rolled up Kris in a cradle but somehow Kris Statlander kicked out!
Statlander pulled Skye off the turnbuckles and down onto the mat with an iconoclasm! Statlander planted Skye for a near fall. Stokely offered Kris a steel chain to use, but Willow discouraged her from using it. As the ref was telling Stokely to put the chain away, Julia Hart jumped in the ring and hit Kris in the head with the TBS championship belt! Skye followed up with the Code Blue and pinned Kris Statlander!
EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson continued their search for Sting backstage!
They found Sting’s dressing room and went in! There were black baseball bats hanging from the ceiling, but no Stinger! Nicholas said Sting was playing mind games, and Matthew agreed, saying it was sick.
“Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. CMLL’s Atlantis Jr. (accompanied by Atlantis)!
They slugged it out early on. Atlantis Jr. connected with a high crossbody press from the top rope. Atlantis Jr. sent Jericho flying with a monkey flip. Jericho retaliated with the Walls of Jericho, but Atlantis reached the ropes, forcing the ref to break the hold. Jericho tried to rip off Atlantis Jr.’s mask but Atlantis Jr.’s fought back. As the ref was helping to tie the mask back on Atlantis Jr., Atlantis Sr. choked Jericho with a towel on the other side of the ring!
Atlantis Jr. hit Jericho with a tope suicida, sending Jericho crashing hard into the barricade. Atlantis Jr. catapulted Jericho into the steel ring post. Atlantis Jr. tried to powerbomb Jericho onto the steps, but Jericho reversed it with a hurracanrana!
Back in the ring, Atlantis Jr. sent Jericho down to the mat hard with an arm drag off the turnbuckles. Atlantis Jr. followed up with a wheelbarrow German Suplex for a near fall! Jericho and Atlantis Jr. fought on the top turnbuckle, and Jericho slammed Atlantis Jr.’s head onto the mat with a bulldog for a near fall!
Atlantis Jr. powerslammed Jericho for a two-count. Atlantis Jr. jumped over the top rope and wiped out Jericho on the arena floor!

Jericho battered Atlantis Jr. with shots on top of the head and then sent Atlantis Jr. soaring with a hurracanrana off the top rope! Atlantis Jr. avoided the Judas Effect from Jericho! Atlantis Jr. locked in his backbreaker finisher on Jericho, but Jericho countered with the Walls! Jericho sat back and Atlantis threw the towel in for his son, knowing his son had too much pride to tap out!
EVPs The Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, came to the ring with their white baseball bats!
Nicholas and Matthew were pointing their bats at Sting fans. Nicholas put his into the face of one Sting fan at ringside, but the fan removed his Sting mask and revealed himself to be…Darby Allin! Darby jumped over the barricade and took the fight to the Young Bucks, opting not to wait until Sunday at REVOLUTION!
Matthew grabbed Darby’s leg and anchored him while Nicholas cracked Darby with a knee strike! The Bucks had Darby outnumbered and began to double team him with a vicious assault, using their baseball bats! The Bucks held Darby in the ring, setting him up for the EVP Trigger and then sandwiching him with their knees!
“If the Bucks land the EVP Trigger this Sunday at REVOLUTION, we will have new AEW World Tag Team champions,” said Excalibur.
The Bucks continued their onslaught on Darby with their baseball bats! The Bucks called to the back and out came…
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair!
Flair came down to the ring as the Bucks beat down Darby. Matthew handed a baseball bat to Ric Flair. “The Nature Boy” poked Nicholas in the eyes! Flair chopped Matthew but Nicholas connected with a low blow to Flair from behind! The Bucks stomped Ric Flair!
Sting’s music began to play, and the Bucks didn’t wait, deciding to walk up the ramp with baseball bats in hand!
“Sting is walking into a trap here,” said Tony Schiavone.
Sting descended from the rafters, repelling from the top! Sting turned the tables on Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, hitting them with his baseball bat! Darby nailed the Bucks with a Coffin Drop!
“Listen to this crowd! It has come unglued for Sting!” said Excalibur.
Sting drilled Nicholas with a Scorpion Death Drop!
“They were looking all day for Sting and the Bucks needed to look up…in the rafters,” said Tony Schiavone.
“Well Sting found them and exploded on the scene right here on Dynamite,” replied Taz.

Stokely Hathaway joined the commentary team for this match.
Willow connected with a crossbody press off the middle rope for a near fall. Willow followed up with a running clothesline and then flipped off the apron, landing on Statlander. Back in the ring, Statlander applied the pressure with body scissors. Willow got to her feet and scored with a kick to Kris. Willow nailed Kris with a massive spinebuster for a two-count.
Kris hoisted Willow up on her shoulders and planted her on her face. Willow fired back with a running pounce! Willow cannonballed Kris in the corner and followed up with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Kris blasted Willow with a scissor kick across the spine. Willow grabbed Kris off the top turnbuckle and power bombed her onto the apron!
Willow reversed Saturday Night Fever will a roll-up for a near fall. Kris tried for a 450 but Willow dodged it. Willow hit the Doctor Bomb and pinned Statlander!

The winner of this 20-man battle royale will earn a shot at the TNT Championship anytime, anywhere.
Lance Archer and Killswitch were buried under tables while the other competitors whacked away at them with steel chairs. Trent whipped Serpentico over the top rope and eliminated him. Kip Sabian charged at Dalton Castle and knocked him to the arena floor.
Danhausen kicked Johnny TV out of the ring as Johnny was trying to pull Trent out. Lee Johnson connected with a body press to Kip Sabian. Angelo Parker eliminated Lee. Dark Order tossed out Cool Hand Ang. Kip cannonballed Alex Reynolds and then eliminated Reynolds.
Butcher sent John Silver packing. Trent and Rocky rocked Kip with a double knee strike. Bryan Keith kicked Kip out. Danhausen tried to curse Keith, but Butcher cut him off. Keith suplexed the Butcher. Blade charged at Keith and rammed him out to the floor. Lance Archer escaped the pile of lumber and entered the match. Daddy Magic chopped at Archer. The MurderHawk Monster clubbed Daddy Magic and made him vanish from the match. Archer eliminated Christopher Daniels.
Archer picked up Rocky and threw him over the top and sent him crashing onto Daniels. Darius Martin and Action Andretti worked in tandem on Archer. Killswitch emerged and choke slammed Darius and Action. Archer and Killswitch threw Action and Darius out of the ring. Blade ate a big boot from Archer before being tossed out. Killswitch booted Blade out of the match.
Trent and Danhausen grabbed Lance Archer and flipped him over the top and to the floor. Trent and Danhausen hugged, but then Trent eliminated Danhausen. Trent charged at Killswitch with a running knee strike. And then a second, and then a third knee strike! Killswitch caught Trent and planted him with a chokeslam. Killswitch clobbered Trent with a European Uppercut on the apron and then won the match!
FTW Championship Match/FTW Rules!
HOOK (c.) vs. ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta!
Yuta charged at Hook as Hook was making his entrance. Hook pounded away with strikes at Yuta in the corner. Hook headbutted Yuta. They brawled onto the ramp. Hook sent Yuta for a ride with a suplex. Yuta grabbed a trash can lid from under the ring and swung for the fences, clocking Hook in the head.
Yuta whipped Hook into the steel barricade. Yuta was grinding his boot into Hook’s head. Hook jumped into the ring, but Yuta was waiting for him. Yuta had a stop sign and slammed it into Hook’s back. Yuta sat out with a senton for a near fall on Hook.
Hook suplexed Yuta with a Northern Lights throw for a near fall. Yuta countered the Red Rum with a release German Suplex. Yuta chomped on Hook’s forehead and then connected with a fisherman’s suplex. Hook caught Yuta and suplexed him into the trash can with a high cradle. Hook tried for the Red Rum, but Yuta sat back and smashed Hook onto the trash can. Yuta spiked Hook with a DDT on the stop sign for a two-count.
Yuta grabbed a two-by-four, but Hook found a hockey stick. Hook cracked the hockey stick over Yuta’s back. Hook used the remnants of the stick, applied Red Rum, and made Yuta tap out!

Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson, Mark Briscoe, & Daniel Garcia
vs.
Brody King, Jay White, Jay Lethal, & Rush!
“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joined the commentary team for this match.
Rush and Claudio started shoving one another. It escalated to stiff chops and forearms. Claudio booted Rush but Rush retaliated with a German Suplex. Jay Lethal and Mark Briscoe tagged in for their respective teams.
Lethal dropkicked Mark but Mark answered with some redneck kung fu. Danielson and Jay White grabbed tags. The crowd came alive at the sight of these two competitors entering the ring to square off. Danielson tried for the Le Bell Lock, but Jay White quickly grabbed the ropes to force the ref to break the hold. The “Switchblade” chopped Danielson in the chest, lighting him up. Danielson whipped White into the turnbuckles and then walloped White with round kicks.
Danielson took down Jay White with a hurracanrana. Bryan fired off more round kicks and then Daniel Garcia grabbed a blind tag. Danielson wasn’t happy. Brody King entered the ring and Garcia tried to use his quickness against Brody. Brody blasted Garcia with a Bossman Slam! Brody got in Matt Menard’s face and taunted him.
Garcia’s nose was busted, and Jay White body slammed him. Garcia finally reached the corner and tagged Mark Briscoe. Mark took down Jay White with a flying forearm. Briscoe dropped a Cactus elbow off the apron onto Rush. Back in the ring Briscoe planted Jay White with a fisherman’s bomb for a near fall!
Jay Lethal tagged in and superplexed Mark Briscoe from the top! Brody King and Claudio Castagnoli tagged in. Claudio hit a vertical suplex on Brody! Rush charged at Danielson’ with the Bull’s Horns while Brody cannonballed Claudio. But Claudio answered with the Giant Swing, and then Danielson punctuated it with a dropkick to Brody’s head!
“We’ve got bodies flying everywhere!” said Matt Menard.
Garcia got rocked by Jay’s Lethal Combination. Jay Lethal applied the figure four on Garcia. Briscoe stunned Lethal with the Froggy Bow off the top. Claudio sent Jay White flying with a pop up uppercut. Garcia bypassed the Lethal Injection and folded up Lethal for the pin!
“Garcia said he thinks he fits in, and boy did he prove it here tonight,” said Excalibur.
Brody King blindsided Daddy Magic. Sonjay Dutt came out to give Lethal a talking to.
“The Redeemer” Miro vs. Andrade El Idolo (with CJ Perry)!
Miro bulldozed Andrade from behind as Andrade was entering the ring. Andrade tried for a tope suicida, but Miro cut him of at the pass with a stiff shot. Miro turned Andrade inside out with a suplex overhead, throwing him with ease.
Miro shouted at CJ Perry, “Is this what you wanted?!”
Andrade shoved Miro and Miro went flying over the commentary team’s desk. Andrade whipped Miro into the ring steps. They both got into the ring and traded stiff chops. Andrade used a dragon screw leg whip out of nowhere and followed up with a crossbody off the top turnbuckle. Andrade moonsaulted out of the ring and onto Miro on the arena floor. Andrade connected with another moonsault, this time in the ring, for a near fall on Miro.
Andrade charged at Miro, but Miro made him pay with a massive boot to the face! Miro was feeding off his fury. Miro stomped on Andrade’s back and then applied Game Over. CJ Perry yelled at Andrade, “Do not tap!” Andrade managed to reach the ropes and forced the ref to break the hold. Miro shouted at CJ Perry, “You should cheer for your husband!”
Andrade rocked Miro with the spinning back elbow for a two-count. Andrade applied the figure four leg lock. Andrade transitioned into the figure eight but Miro countered, reversing it. Andrade turned it back over, applying the pressure to Miro. Andrade bridged up, but CJ Perry swept out Andrade’s arms while the ref wasn’t looking! Miro scored with a kick for a near fall on Andrade. Miro trapped Andrade in the Game Over submission and forced Andrade to tap out!
CJ Perry blew a kiss at Miro after the match!
AEW Women’s World Championship Match!
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c.) (with Luther the Butler) vs. Riho!
Toni body slammed Riho and covered her, but Riho bridged right out of it. Riho used a bulldog out of the corner, but Toni kicked out at the one-count. Riho jumped off the apron, but Luther caught her, and then Luther handed Riho to Toni. “Timeless” Toni body slammed Riho on the arena floor.
Riho tried to body slam Toni, but Riho’s back seized up. Toni spotted it and went to work on Riho’s lower back. Toni applied the Texas Cloverleaf, punishing Riho’s lower back. Riho tried to reach the ropes, but Luther pulled the ropes back. The ref saw this and ejected Luther from ringside.
Riho connected with the area code shot! Riho body slammed Toni Storm. Riho jumped off the top and crashed down on the champion with a diving cross body! Riho double stomped Toni on the apron. Riho nailed Toni with a dragon suplex!
Toni Storm retaliated with the Storm Zero, but somehow Riho kicked out! Riho climbed the turnbuckles, but Toni yanked her down. Toni spiked Riho with a DDT and pinned Riho, retaining her championship!
Mariah May came to the ring with a bucket of rose petals. Mariah poured the petals over Toni, helping her idol celebrate her victory tonight.
Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Dante Martin!
Dante: “I’ve been doing good, but good’s not good enough. Last night I got the pin on Rampage.”
AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy walked onto the set. Orange told Dante to try to take his title his Wednesday on Dynamite!
Dustin Rhodes vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)!
Dustin was taking the place of Keith Lee, who wasn’t cleared by the doctor to wrestle today due to injury.
Prince Nana set up a cinder block and put Dustin’s ankle on it. Swerve jumped off the apron with a double stomp, smashing Dustin’s ankle and the cinder block! The match hadn’t even officially started. The AEW medical staff and referees help Dustin up, trying to walk him to the back. Dustin couldn’t put any weight on his ankle. Dustin refused to give up and forced his way back to the ring!
“This is ill advised by Dustin Rhodes tonight,” said Excalibur.
Dustin told the ref to ring the bell. Swerve came in hot with a kick to Dustin’s head! Swerve dropkicked Dustin in the knee. Swerve set up Dustin for a superplex. Dustin headbutted his way out of it, knocking Swerve down to the mat. Dustin connected with a crossbody press for a near fall.
Dustin stunned Swerve with a Canadian Destroyer and then a snapping powerslam for a two-count. Prince Nana looked panicked. Dustin blasted Swerve with the UnNatural Kick. Dustin spiked Swerve with a piledriver and then the Cross Rhodes for a two-count!
“If Dustin wins this, what a comeback it would be,” said Tony Schiavone.
Swerve rolled through with a flatliner! Swerve applied a single leg crab on Dustin. Swerve transitioned to a stretch muffler and then stomped on Dustin’s head. Dustin made it to the ropes, showing off his mat sense and toughness. Dustin popped middle fingers at Swerve and then spat at Swerve! Swerve was infuriated and nailed Dustin with the House Call! Swerve wrecked Dustin with a second House Call kick! Swerve finished off Dustin with the Double Stomp from the top rope and pinned Dustin!
“Swerve is victorious but not a happy expression on his face,” said Excalibur.
“I will not have my time wasted anymore,” Swerve said, as he looked into the camera.

AEW World Tag Champions Big Bill & “Absolute” Ricky Starks, and The Don Callis Family—Konosuke Takeshita & Powerhouse Hobbs!
Takeshita dropped Sammy with a headbutt. Sammy tagged Jericho in, and Jericho ate a Takeshita line. Starks grabbed a tag and Starks flipped off Jericho. Hobbs tagged himself in and Starks wasn’t happy. Hobbs rammed into Jericho with a shoulder tackle.
Big Bill tagged in and battered Jericho with clubbing shots. Darby jumped in with a dropkick to Big Bill. Takeshita entered the fray, but Darby connected with a lateral press. Darby drilled Takeshita with a Code Red for a near fall! Darby climbed the top for a Coffin Drop but Don Callis distracted him from the apron. Takeshita hoisted up Darby and decimated him with an avalanche helicopter blue thunder bomb!
Hobbs and Big Bill grabbed Darby and swung him across the ring like a sack of potatoes! Starks entered the match and went for a Stinger Splash, but Darby dodged it. Sting tagged in and threw haymakers all over the ring!
Starks walked the rope and dropped an elbow on Sting’s arm. Sting drove Sting to the mat and stomped him. Sammy tagged himself in. Sammy came off the turnbuckles with a cutter. Big Bill jumped in the ring and planted Sammy with a Bossman Slam. Jericho came to even up the odds and smashed Big Bill with a Code Breaker. Hobbs wrecked Jericho with a spinebuster from behind. Hobbs pancaked Jericho with the World’s Most Dangerous Slam. Darby splashed Jericho into Hobbs! Darby impaled Hobbs with a Scorpion Death Drop!
Takeshita suplexed Darby and Sammy with a German Suplex! Sting swept out Takeshita’s leg and applied the Scorpion Death Lock! Callis jumped into the ring with Sting’s baseball bat, forcing Sting to let go of the hold. Callis backed off when Sting saw him. Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho to Hobbs. Starks popped Jericho in the face with a thrust kick.
Darby rocketed out of the ring at Big Bill like a human battering ram! Starks speared Sammy for a near fall! Sammy rocked Starks with a thrust kick and then the GTH! Sammy climbed to the top and walloped Starks with a shooting star press, scoring the pin on Starks!

Abadon chose the stipulation to have biting made legal for this match!
The crowd chanted “This is spooky! This is spooky!”
Abadon hit a cutter out of the gate! Abadon battered Julia in the corner with lariats.
“Those shots will wear Julia out,” said Taz.
Julia fired back, ramming Abadon’s head into the mat! Julia grabbed Abadon in a crucifix for a near fall. Julia hurled Abadon through the ropes and onto the arena floor. Julia suplexed Abadon onto the cold arena floor. Abadon chomped down on Julia’s arm, taking a bite out of the champion!
Abadon followed up with a lung blower for a near fall. Julia came back with a superplex. Julia blindsided Abadon with a running lariat to the back of the head. Abadon caught Julia in the side of the head with a running knee strike. Abadon bit Julia’s forehead. Skye Blue crawled out from beneath the ring and hit Abadon while the ref was distracted. Skye hid back under the ring, but Abadon pulled her out and cracked Skye with a jumped knee strike! Julia Hart blindsided Abadon again, bashing Abadon’s head into the steel steps. Julia Hart scored the victory after a backflipping knee strike from the top rope onto Abadon’s chest!
TNT Championship No Disqualification Match!
“The Patriarch” Christian Cage (c.) (with Mother Wayne & Nick Wayne)
vs. “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland!
Copeland charged at Christian Cage as Christian was making his entrance. Cope hammered Christian Cage with fists. Copeland sent Christian flying into the barricade. The fans chanted “We want tables!” and Copeland smiled. Christian Cage retreated from the ring. Copeland followed him but Cage was waiting with a thrust kick.
Adam Copeland whipped Christian into the steel ring steps. Christian tried to escape, walking up the arena steps. Copeland followed him. Copeland jumped off the top of the 100 section with a crossbody press onto Christian Cage!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Copeland ran across the barricade, jumped off, and clotheslined Christian Cage! Copeland tried to spear Christian, but Christian dodged it and sent Copeland flying into the steel ring post. Christian stomped on Copeland’s neck on the ring steps! Copeland’s eye began to swell up, blood trickling down his face.
Christian Cage grabbed a kendo stick. Christian cracked Copeland in the back over and over with the kendo stick! Christian was using the kendo stick to choke Copeland. Nick Wayne tossed a couple of chairs to Christian. Christian put the chair across Copeland’s back, sat on it, and applied a Boston Crab. All of Christian’s body weight was on the chair, punishing the back of Copeland.
Christian had a metal rod, swung it at Copeland, but Copeland ducked it. Copeland planted Christian onto the mat and then bashed him with the kendo stick! Copeland applied the cross face in the center of the ring, putting the metal rod in Christian’s mouth and pulling back! Christian managed to grab the bottom rope and pull himself free. Copeland pulled a ladder from beneath the ring!
Copeland catapulted Christian Cage face-first into the ladder, which was wedged between the ropes. Christian swung the kendo stick at Copeland. Christian Cage climbed the ladder. Copeland got to his feet and climbed the other side of the ladder. Christian whiplashed Copeland with a sunset powerbomb from the top of the ladder for a near fall!
Christian Cage pulled two tables from beneath the ring. Christian and Nick Wayne set up a table near the ring. Copeland went for a spear, but Nick Wayne pulled Christian away. Copeland cracked Christian with a chair across the spine. Copeland nailed Christian Cage with an Impaler on the chair!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Copeland was going for the conchairto, but Nick Wayne pulled the chair out of Copeland’s hands. Christian Cage blindsided Copeland with a low blow. Nick Wayne pushed a table into the ring. Christian Cage propped up the table against the turnbuckles. Christian tried to spear Copeland, but Copeland avoided it. Copeland answered with a spear of his own, putting Christian through the table! Copeland went for the cover, but Shayna Wayne pulled the ref out of the ring!
Nick Wayne rammed the TNT Title into Copeland’s head. Nick Wayne followed up with the Wayne’s World, bashing Copeland’s head onto the arena floor. Cage used the Killswitch for a near fall!
Christian Cage and Nick Wayne poured lighter fluid on a table! Nick Wayne lit the table on fire! Copeland speared Cage! Copeland put more lighter fluid on the table! Copeland power bombed Nick Wayne off the apron and through the burning table!
Christian tried to hit Copeland with the title belt, but Copeland blocked it and stopped Christian in his tracks with a low blow! Copeland smashed Christian with the Killswitch and pinned him!
New TNT Champion…” The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland!
Killswitch appeared out of nowhere! Killswitch choke slammed Copeland! Killswitch set up a chair and then choke slammed Copeland on it! Killswitch had his TNT Title contract and was about to hand it to the ref. Christian Cage jumped in between Killswitch and the ref. Christian demanded the contract from Killswitch. Christian made Killswitch surrender the contract after whispering into Killswitch’s ear. Christian signed the contract, handed it to the referee. The ref rang the bell, and we had another TNT Title Championship Match! Christian Cage speared Adam Copeland and pinned him!
And new TNT Champion… “The Patriarch” Christian Cage!
Continental Classic Championship Finals Match!
Gold League Winner Jon Moxley vs. Blue League Winner Eddie Kingston!
The “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson joined the commentary team for this match.
Moxley took down Eddie with a drop toe hold. Eddie went into the guard and blew a kiss to Moxley. Eddie kicked Moxley, forcing Moxley to take a few steps back. Moxley used a snap mare and then kicked Kingston in the lower back.
Kingston and Moxley traded chops in the center of the ring. Kingston caught Moxley with a kick to the back of the head. Kingston followed up with a tope suicida, but Eddie landed hard on his neck and shoulder.
Moxley baited Kingston and then German Suplexed him. Moxley spiked Kingston with the Paradigm Shift on the floor. Moxley punished Kingston with kicks to the chest. Kingston got to his feet and chopped at Moxley. Moxley blocked one of the chops with his forearm and Kingston felt pain right away. Moxley drove Kingston down on his neck with a piledriver for a near fall.
“Kingston is the hometown favorite, but Moxley just let the oxygen out of the arena,” said Excalibur.
Moxley applied an STF, but Kingston bit Moxley’s hand. Moxley began to get frustrated. Kingston chopped Moxley and brought Moxley down to his knees with it. They traded more chops. Moxley went to the ropes and Eddie tossed him with an exploder suplex! Eddie followed up with a spinning backfist. Both men went down.
Kingston dropped Mox with a DDT. Moxley retaliated with a cutter. Kingston connected with a second spinning backfist, but Moxley answered with a lariat. Kingston smashed Mox with a Northern Lights Bomb for a near fall. Kingston put Mox in a bulldog choke. Kingston transitioned to hammer and anvil elbows. He went to the bulldog choke on Moxley again. Moxley escaped and put Kingston in a bulldog choke of his own!
Kingston escaped and cracked Mox with a spinning backfist. Kingston planted Mox with another Northern Lights Bomb for a two-count! Mox wrecked Kingston with a lariat. Moxley was clutching his arm afterwards. They traded headbutts from their knees. They got to their feet and traded open palm strikes. Eddie spun around with the backfist and pinned Moxley!
“Oh man, Eddie Kingston did it!” said Taz.
The referee handed the three belts to Eddie Kingston and the crowd chanted “You deserve it! You deserve it!”
Moxley and Kingston hugged after the match.
“Eddie Kingston is the first ever Continental Crown Champion,” said Excalibur.

MJF (c.) vs. Samoa Joe!
The sold out arena chanted “He’s our scumbag! He’s our scumbag!”
MJF pointed to the entrance ramp and Adam Cole’s music hit, baybay! Adam Cole came down to the ring on crutches. Cole stood in his best friend’s corner, and MJF smiled.
MJF thumbed Samoa Joe in the eye and then kicked him. MJF charged at Samoa Joe, but Joe grabbed him and slammed him to the mat. MJF clutched his arm. Samoa Joe punched MJF in the shoulder and then stomped a mudhole into him. Samoa Joe hit a leg drop on MJF’s arm. Samoa Joe put a tight grip on MJF’s shoulder. MJF fought out of it with a series of chops. Samoa Joe booted the champ in the face!
“Max is in deep you know what right now,” said Taz.
Samoa Joe went for the muscle buster, but Max escaped. MJF grabbed an inside cradle for a near fall. MJF tried to schoolboy Samoa Joe and Joe kicked out of it. MJF went for the kangaroo kick, but Samoa Joe anticipated it and blocked it. MJF went to skin the cat, but as MJF was inverted, Samoa Joe kicked MJF in the head. Samoa Joe dived out of the ring with an elbow suicida and mowed down MJF.
Samoa Joe planted Max with a Death Valley Driver in the center of the ring. Joe nailed MJF with a German Suplex and then a dragon suplex. Samoa Joe followed up with a straitjacket suplex! Samoa Joe decimated MJF with a muscle buster on the ring apron! MJF landed directly on his injured left shoulder. Joe covered MJF but MJF managed to kick out at two.
MJF headbutted Joe. MJF connected with a rolling elbow strike to the back of Joe’s head. MJF chomped on Samoa Joe’s forehead. MJF tried for the kangaroo kick, but Samoa Joe booted Max out of the air. MJF thumbed Samoa Joe in the eyes. MJF tried to hoist up Samoa Joe, but MJF collapsed under the weight. MJF ran into Samoa Joe, throwing his body at Joe. MJF landed the heat seeker on Samoa Joe for a two-count! MJF applied the Salt of the Earth armbar on Samoa Joe. The challenger escaped and put MJF into an arm bar. Samoa Joe wrenched upwards. Adam Cole cheered on MJF, and MJF was able to reach the bottom rope to break the hold.
Samoa Joe applied a sleeper. MJF pushed backwards, inadvertently shoving Samoa Joe into the referee. The ref collapsed. MJF smiled. MJF stunned Samoa Joe with a low blow. MJF hoisted up Samoa Joe and pancaked him! The ref finally turned around and began to count the pin, but Samoa Joe kicked out at two! MJF signaled for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Adam Cole had trouble finding it, and in the meantime, Samoa Joe grabbed Max from behind. Samoa Joe wrapped MJF in a deep submission. The referee lifted up MJF’s arm three times and MJF didn’t respond. MJF was choked out!
And new All Elite World Champion Samoa Joe!
Adam Cole got into the ring to console MJF. The Devil’s masked men surrounded the ring. They swarmed MJF and Adam Cole!
Adam Cole said, “Hey, hit me!”
One of the masked goons had a steel chair. MJF yelled, “No, don’t hit him! Hit me!”
The masked goon with the chair turned around and raised the chair, about to swing it at Adam Cole.
The arena lights went dark!
When the lights returned, Adam Cole was free, and he was sitting in the chair! The masked goons stood behind Cole. The masked goons removed their masks—it was Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Wardlow!
MJF, with tears streaming down his face, in complete disbelief, yelled, “How could you do this, man?”
Roderick Strong rammed into MJF with a jumping knee strike! Taven and Bennett began to pound MJF with fists. Wardlow power bombed MJF! Adam Cole sat on the chair the entire time. Cole pulled the Devil mask out from behind his jacket. Adam Cole dropped the mask onto MJF and laughed!
“Why? The question is how long have they been planning this!” wondered Tony Schiavone.
“The world of MJF has ended,” added Excalibur.

Last week on DYNAMITE the AEW faithful bore witness to the next round of Gold League bouts in the Continental Classic, including Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland raising their point total to six as “El Toro Blanco” Rush scored his first three, leaving Jay White with three, while Jay Lethal, as well as Mark Briscoe, have zero to their name. In addition, AEW World Champion MJF was challenged by the devil-masked individual to unite with Samoa Joe for a tag team bout, and Toni Storm was informed she’d be putting AEW Women’s World Championship on the line in Montreal!
This Wednesday night, as AEW brings DYNAMITE to the Bell Centre in Montrealfor the very first time, we will see the next three bouts in the Gold League, as well as two huge championship matches! Swerve battles Mark Briscoe, Jon Moxley takes on Rush, and Jay Lethal goes head-to-head with Jay White as some jockey for the top spot while others attempt to stave off mathematical elimination! “Timeless” Toni Storm will put her championship on the line for the first time in this third reign as she faces one of her most persistent foes in Skye Blue, and, in the face of 40-plus years of friendship, TNT Champion Christian Cage will face “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland!

“The Patriach” Christian Cage(c) vs. “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland
It has been more than thirteen years since the last time Christian Cage and Adam Copeland stood across the ring from one another waiting for the first bell to ring that signifies the start of their one-on-one clash. The site of that fight was the Air Canada Center in Toronto, and it came to a conclusion with an Adam Copeland victory, just as it had sixteen other times over their twenty-six singles bouts on record. Though the two men would find their way back to a partnership for a handful of matches in 2011, the neck injuries that should’ve ended Adam’s career, and actually kept him out of the ring for nine years, ended their tag team bond.
Despite Copeland grinding through a grueling recovery, struggling and fighting to get back into the ring in January 2020, the two life-long friends only stood in the ring during a match one more time prior to WRESTLEDREAM in Seattle, and somewhat ironically that was a one night only affair as Christian Cage was forced to step away from in-ring activity in 2014 due to his own medical concerns, and not resuming his in-ring career until that first match for AEW on March 31, 2021.
So in addition to the friendship that begun some 40 years ago, in addition to all the wars they’d fought together as friends, as partners, and even as foes, Adam and Christian were also bonded by the pain of nearly losing their dream as a result of their bodies betraying them. But so too were they bonded by overcoming all odds and fighting their way back to making that dream a reality when there was no rationale reason for either man to still be competing, much less doing so at the highest of levels they are still doing at this point in their careers.
And yet here they are, despite all that connective tissue, standing as far apart as they have ever been with an seemingly insurmountable gap between their desires for AEW. Copeland came here with the dream of standing side-by-side with his best friend and finishing out their careers showing the world why they’ve long been considered one of the best tag teams of their generation, why they were such a game-changing force in tag team wrestling, and just being able to enjoy everything they’d worked so hard to accomplish.
Christian, on the other hand, came to AEW to get as much distance as possible between he and Adam and to establish himself as far away from any notion of the team they used to be once upon a time. He came to be his own individual, and Copeland coming to AEW only served, in Cage’s mind, to cast that shadow over his accomplishments since REVOLUTION 2021, not that great deal of Christian’s accomplishments deserves accolades. He betrayed Jack Perry and Luchasaurus, then turned Luchasaurus on Perry and made the former World Tag Champion into his lapdog, and even though he helped lead Luchasaurus to the TNT Championship, he didn’t even the man to hold his own championship while simultaneously claiming himself as the true TNT Champion. Then, when the opportunity came, Cage robbed Luchasaurus of the TNT Championship to officially make it his own.
He turned Nick Wayne against Darby Allin, as well as his own mother, humiliated Luchasaurus, robbed him of his name, rechristened the man Killswitch as an homage to himself, and threatened to break the neck of his supposed best friend after Adam Copeland came to AEW with a hopeful reunion in his mind. Christian disrespected Copeland’s family, a family that Adam considered him a part of, and has sacrificed both Killswitch and “The Prodigy” Nick Wayne in order to save his own skin. The fact that Christian Cage is proud of those accomplishments goes to show just what kind of man he’s devolved into since his arrival in AEW, it just took Sting shaking some sense into him for Adam Copeland to realize just who his supposed best friend truly was at heart.
So now this Wednesday night in Montreal, they will fight, and Christian’s prized TNT Championship will be on the line! Interestingly enough, though Copeland leads Cage in victories in their one-on-one collisions, it is Cage who has a razor thin edge when titles at stake. Nineteen times on record they’ve fought one-on-one over a championship, ten of those have been won by Christian Cage, but the last four by Copeland, although it has been a dozen years since the last of those championship contests.
While these men may be more familiar with each other than anyone else in AEW could hope to be, neither is dealing with the same man with whom they captured seven tag team titles together. Each has been changed by their experiences, experiences that should’ve brought them closer together than ever, but instead have seen them driven further apart than ever before. If there was ever any hope for this friendship to find a place of healing, it will likely be dashed Wednesday night on DYNAMITE. Some bridges can’t be rebuilt after the fire, some sins are not forgivable…
AEW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…
“Timeless” Toni Storm(c) vs. Skye Blue
While “Timeless” Toni Storm may still be basking in the glow of becoming a 3-Time AEW Women’s World Champion, apparently recovering from Hollywood parties and hobnobbing with stars, the rest of the division has had their eye on being the first challenger to her throne, and it looks like Storm will have to deal with a familiar foe for her first defense!
Skye Blue has been a consistent thorn in the side of Toni Storm since the beginning of 2023, and there’s not a woman in AEW the defending champion has faced more in one-on-one matches. Five times they have gone head-to-head inside the squared circle, two of those in championship matches, and all five have gone in favor of Toni Storm. Even the Four Way Title match at HOUSE RULES: HUNTSVILLE over the summer, a bout that also involved Anna Jay and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D, came to an end with Storm pinning Sky. In fact, in the nine total fights these woman have been involved in, Toni holds a 7-2 lead on her challenger, with both of Skye’s victories coming in tag team bouts, though neither conclusion saw Skye pin Toni to get the victory.
The last fight between the two woman went down two months ago on DYNAMITE, and once again it was Skye who fell in defeat, but her transformation over the last several months may be the key to Skye finally claiming, not just a victory over Toni Storm, but also her first AEW Women’s World Championship! Will fans see another Storm/Blue sequel laid out by “The Timeless One”, or will Skye Blue rewrite the script for a whole new take on their franchise? Tune in Wednesday night to see who claims the crown as best lead in the AEW Women’s Division! And just announced as a special guest:
One is a man riding high with two consecutive victories and six points to his Continental Classic tally while the other is a man who has twice tasted defeated, meaning zero points on his record for this tournament. The former is Swerve Strickland, the latter Mark Briscoe, and this Wednesday night in Montreal, they will meet in their first-ever singles match and for just the second time in their careers!
That one previous clash between these two men took place a lifetime ago, and a continent away, when Shane Strickland teamed up with the late Ryan Smile at RevPro’s SUMMER SIZZLER 2017 event in a losing effort against Jay & Mark Briscoe. So much has changed for both these men in the six years since, especially for Mark as he forges forward into the world of singles wrestling after the tragic loss of brother Jay back on January 17th of this year.
Singles wrestling isn’t a foreign concept for Mark, after all he has been in the game for 23 years, years that including some hellacious singles matches against his own brother for one, but doing singles work exclusively, now that is uncharted territory for “The Sussex County Chicken” and perhaps why he is taking the losses as good as he can. Mark knows competing in this tournament isn’t the easiest path, that he’s faced with five of the best in the world in this Gold League, but that doesn’t mean he’ll back down or fold up shop. It’s motivation to get better, to keep pushing, and to continue fighting on for the Briscoe name.
Between Mox and Rush, Mark has already thrown down with two of the heaviest hitters in the Gold League, and now he’s got the red-hot Swerve on his plate who proved unquestionably with that Texas Death Match that he’s got the same grit as Mark’s previous two opponents. Getting those first three points out of this one is going to be a grind for Chicken, but that’s what he does and Swerve best not underestimate as he pursues nine points. After all, Mark is a cornered animal now, a loss here mathematically eliminates him from the competition, and you know what they say about cornered animals…
Jon Moxley (6) vs. Rush (3)
This one is going to hurt, and going to hurt both men involved even more than they are already hurting. We all heard it straight from Moxley himself in the interview embedded above, he is aching and sore and sick and tired, but sick and tired of being sick and tired but fighting is what he does, what he knows, and it’s Moxley’s way through the pain wracking his body.
Similarly, the AEW faithful witnessed Rush gut out a victory over Mark Briscoe last week despite clearly going through some intense leg pain throughout the contest. For a minute it seemed as if the doctor might stop the match, but “El Toro Blanco” fought to his feet, threw down with Mark, and found the way to his first three points in the Continental Classic.
Now these two hard-hitting forces will collide in a rematch of their AEW Interim World Title Match that took place at FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN 2022 on July 27th, as well as the Texas Tornado Tag from the 2/15/23 DYNAMITE that saw The BCC of Mox and Claudio defeat Rush and Preston Vance. Everyone knows the kind of fight these to men bring to the table, and how each seems to feed off getting hit by their foes, but as this tournament gets deeper, as their bodies break down further, and WORLDS END gets closer, will their strategies change? A win for Rush will tie him up with Mox at three points, one for the former 3-Time AEW World Champion could potentially put him at the top of the heap with nine depending on how Swerve’s fight plays out. Every win is crucial, but this week marks the halfway point, and no one can afford to take an “L”…
Jay Lethal (0) vs. Jay White (3)
This is one part Continental Collision contest and one part rubber match as, over the course of their careers, Jay Lethal and Jay White each hold a singles victory over the other. For Lethal, his victory over the future “Switchblade” came at ROH’s GLOBAL WARS 2017, NIGHT 2 event during Jay’s stateside excursion from the New Japan Dojo. There were other bouts involving the two, eight-mans and Three Way’s and Four Corner Survivals, even a trios bout in Korakuen Hall, but that October 13th fight in Pittsburgh was their lone singles until “King Switch” came calling five years later.
From December 2021 through April 2022, Jay White held what he called “The U.S. of Jay Open Challenge Series” during NJPW STRONG broadcasts, a five match series where he first battled Swerve, as well as Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. In the second match of the series Jay Lethal answered the call, and on 2/19/22, fell before “Switchblade”.
That bring us to this Wednesday night, the halfway point of the Continental Classic with two matches in the rear view mirror and two waiting down the road, but only one of these two men is on the scoreboard. With a shady victory over Rush, but a loss to Swerve, “Switchblade” Jay White sits with three points while Lethal, following losses to Moxley and Swerve, has a zero beside his name.
So not only are these men fighting for the next three points, they are also fighting for dominance in their series of matches, and in the case of Jay Lethal, desperation to get on the board at all. Should Lethal lose again here, and if Moxley and/or Swerve win, well “The Franchise of ROH” will mathematically be eliminated from winning the bracket.
WHAT IS MJF THINKING…
AEW World & ROH World Tag Champion MJF and Samoa Joe
Given his physical condition, the face that he’s got to fight Samoa Joe at WORLDS END in twenty-four days, and that he’s still carrying the ROH World Tag Team Titles on behalf of himself and Adam Cole, is it wise for MJF to enter into a fight this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE, especially when he has no idea who whose foes actually are?
And what good is Samoa Joe’s promise to keep MJF intact for their fight on December 30th if the AEW World Champion isn’t taking care of himself? Perhaps that’s why Maxwell feels emboldened to take up this tag team fight against an unknown entity, perhaps he’s just lost the ability to use his common sense, whatever the case, this is certainly not the same MJF who spent most of his AEW career avoiding the fight as much as possible. After all, this is the guy who skated by with just six matches in 2019, two of those being Battle Royales, and may see more ring time this year than in the last two combined! Now MJF is running towards the fight, his physical health be damned, and it may fall on Samoa Joe to protect the man from himself if the former AEW World TV Champion hopes to actually see their scheduled World Title Fight in a few weeks.
If not underneath the guise of The Devil, will we all see who’s under the black masks this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE? Or will that be a mystery that continues to haunt Maxwell Jacob Friedman as struggles to keep the AEW World Champion in his grasp?

The Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli!
Brody and Claudio, both known for their power, began the match by blasting one another with forearms. Brody hit Claudio with a lariat, not afraid to utilize the cast on his injured arm.
“I don’t know if this is for pride or what, but neither man is going down,” said Tony Schiavone.
Brody pump kicked Claudio, taking down Claudio with a big boot to the face. Claudio came back with a body slam and then knocked Brody over the top rope and to the arena floor with a clothesline. Claudio followed up with a running European Uppercut.
Claudio whipped Brody into the steel barricade. Brody charged back with a lariat and then removed the steel padding on the barricade. Brody hurled Claudio back into the exposed barricade. Back in the ring, Brody clobbered Claudio with a scoop slam and a running senton splash.
Claudio rallied back with European Uppercuts to Brody in the corner. Claudio went for the Giant Swing, but Brody pushed him away. Claudio shot back with a double foot stomp for a near fall. Claudio rocked Brody with a pop up European Uppercut!
“He lifted him a good two feet off the mat!” said Nigel.
Claudio grabbed Brody in the Giant Swing! Claudio applied a sharpshooter. Brody crawled to the ropes, forcing the ref to break the hold. Brody managed to German Suplex Claudio and followed up with a running cannonball in the corner. He covered Claudio but Claudio kicked out at one! Claudio hit a Canadian Destroyer on Brody and covered him, but Brody kicked out at one!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Brody spiked Claudio with a piledriver for a near fall! Brody leveled Claudio with a massive lariat and pinned Claudio!
“I’m wondering if it may have been that cast on the forearm shot,” said Kevin Kelly.
Abadon vs. Kiera Hogan!
Hogan hit a shotgun dropkick on Abadon. Abadon battered Hogan in the corner. They charged at Hogan, but Hogan moved and connected with a thrust kick. Kiera Hogan followed up with a dropkick for a near fall. Abadon used a sidewalk slam on Kiera Hogan. Abadon stunned Hogan with a cutter!
Kiera Hogan nailed Abadon with a neck breaker. Abadon fired back with a knee strike. They planted Hogan hard on the mat with the Black Dahlia and pinned Hogan!
The arena lights went dark. When they came back on, TBS Champion Julia Hart was in the ring, smiling at Abadon. The lights went dark again, and this time, when the arena lights turned on, Julia had vanished!
Alex Marvez interviewed Samoa Joe backstage!
Samoa Joe was interrupted by Roderick Strong and the Kingdom!
Roderick Strong: “Joe, listen, I’m willing to forgive you for trying to end my career by trying to break my neck, not once, but twice. I know you have that World title match with Max, but this is clearly a trap. Max is the devil. But listen, my best friend Adam says he likes you, and you’re a good friend of his. So, it’s his best friend that makes you my best friend by proxy. Listen, Wednesday is just a set up. His goons are going to beat the crap out of you. He’s not even here right now. He’s probably plotting exactly how they’re going to do it. Will you listen to me?”
Samoa Joe smirked and walked off.
Continental Classic Tournament: Blue League Match!
Andrade El Idolo vs. Daniel Garcia!
Matt Menard joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Andrade applied a side headlock. Garcia shoved him off, but Andrade came off the ropes with a shoulder block. Andrade hit a big cross body press on Garcia. Andrade jumped over the top with a plancha to Garcia.
Garcia used a pair of dragon screw leg whips on Andrade. Garcia rammed Andrade into the barricade. Garcia climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Andrade shoved him off the perch. Garcia tumbled hard onto the arena floor.
Garcia rallied back, tying Andrade into the Tree of Woe and then hammering on Andrade’s knee. Garcia blasted Andrade with a running dropkick and then a brain buster for a near fall! Garcia missed a lariat and Andrade countered with two suplexes. Garcia escaped a third attempt from Andrade, jumping on Andrade’s back with a sleeper. Andrade climbed to the top rope with Garcia on his back. Andrade superplexed Garcia! Andrade followed up with a series of suplexes, an homage to Eddy. Andrade finished off Garcia with the flatliner and pinned him!
“Andrade cracks the scoreboard,” said Tony Schiavone.
Willie Mack was backstage with some words for Wardlow!
Willie: “See Wardlow, I know you’ve been going through a lot of things these past few weeks. But you don’t put your hands on my friends. So, I’m going to have to reach out and touch you. So next week, we’re going to have to do the damn thing in the ring. So, pack your lunch because I’m a big boy!”
Roderick Strong came to the ring with the Kingdom—Matt Taven and Mike Bennett!
Roderick Strong: “I just wanted to say something to Samoa Joe. Listen to me dude. Everything I said back there was true. Max is the devil, and you are going to find out very soon. Those three dweebs in the ring, Matt and Mike are going to beat their ass. And I want to dedicate this to my best friend, Adam, whether he wants me to or not!”
The Kingdom—Matt Taven & Mike Bennett
vs.
The Iron Savages— “Sauce Boss” Beefcake Boulder & “Dirty Bulk” Bronson!
Boulder knocked down both members of the Kingdom with a cross body. He choke slammed Bennett on the apron. Taven cracked Bronson with a thrust kick. Boulder tried for a moonsault, but Taven rolled out of the way.
Bennett nailed Bronson with a Death Valley Driver and Taven followed up with Just the Tip of the Knee strike! They spiked Bronson with a piledriver, and Taven scored the pin. Roderick Strong jumped into the ring after the match and wiped out the manager of the Iron Savages!
Lexy Nair was backstage with “All Ego” Ethan Page!
Ethan Page: “Ever since losing to MJF in my home nation of Canada, I have had to regroup. I have gotten into the best physical condition of my life. I’ve been in Ring of Honor racking up wins. I want to be the king of Canada. But right now, that crown is sitting on someone else’s head. I want you, Kenny Omega, next week on Collision!”
Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal
vs.
House of Black’s Malakai Black & Buddy Matthews!
Sydal jumped off the top turnbuckle, but Buddy grabbed him and nailed him with an elbow. Sydal fired back with a high kick to Buddy’s head. Daniels tagged in and they exhibited great tandem offense on Buddy.
Malakai wiped out Daniels with a moonsault to the floor! Sydal tagged in and connected with a missile dropkick on Black. Malakai cracked Sydal with an elbow to the back of the head. Buddy blasted Daniels with a meteora, and Sydal had the same idea, taking down Black with a meteora of his own!
Black swept out Daniels’ legs, and then Buddy curb stomped CD! Black ended it with a high roundhouse kick to Daniels’ head and pinned Daniels!
“That kick rocked the jaw of Christopher Daniels!” said Tony Schiavone.
The arena lights went out! They came back on and FTR’s music was playing! Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler walked to the ring!
Malakai Black: “Before you both do anything, I assume that the both of you are here because you joining the House of Black. The only people that have been here for the both of you is the House of Black. I have done a lot of things, but not once have I told a lie.”
Dax Harwood went to pick up the microphone and Buddy rushed in and kicked him. Dax was curb stomped. It was all a ruse by the House of Black. Buddy held down Dax, so he was forced to watch as Malakai Black cracked Cash with a roundhouse kick!
Malakai Black: “You see not one single person is coming for you. Boy, were my predictions right last week. No one is coming for you.”
Dax flipped off Black, and then Black rocked Dax with a devastating spin kick to the head!
Renee Paquette had an exclusive Collision interview backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm!
Toni Storm: “Skye Blue, if I have any advice for you, it would be for you to walk backwards. Because the only time they have anything nice to say about you is when they are taking pictures of your bottom. You can be the first challenger for my belt!”
After a commercial break, Skye Blue responded to “Timeless” Toni Storm!
Skye Blue: “Toni, I have met you through every one of your phases, but this midlife crisis is the most pathetic one by far. But you haven’t met this Skye Blue. So, bring your little butler, bring your little blonde bimbo, and whatever 1940s crap you’ve got up that robe, because nothing is going to stop me from taking that championship.”
AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Kip Sabian!
Vikingo shocked Sabian with a kick and then an arm drag off the ropes. Vikingo went for a tope, but Sabian had an answer, drilling Vikingo with a stiff kick to the face. Kip followed up with an Arabian moonsault.
Vikingo connected with a spinning kick to Kip. He followed up with a torture rack knee lift strike to Sabian. Vikingo came off the ropes with a 360 phoenix splash from the other side for a near fall on Sabian!
Sabian climbed to the top turnbuckle and jockeyed for position with Vikingo. Sabian took down Vikingo with a hurracanrana. Vikingo rallied back with a tornillo from the top and then a running knee strike! Vikingo pinned Sabian after a 630 splash!
Lexy Nair was backstage with “Limitless” Keith Lee!
Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty interrupted Keith Lee.
Shane: “I know you’re not dumb enough to look past me. Last year’s tag match didn’t solve anything for me. So, I say this year we give the people the fight they really want to see. Shane Taylor versus Keith Lee one on one at Final Battle!”
Keith Lee: “Challenge accepted. And I’ll see you later, too, Lee Moriarty.”
Lexy Nair interviewed CJ Perry!
“The Redeemer” Miro interrupted, trying to walk past CJ and into the locker room of her client, Andrade El Idolo.
CJ Perry: “Miro, you can’t go in there. I know you think bad things will happen. I need to do this. You picked your god. And now I have to prove myself. By winning this tournament, I will start to be on that path that will help me. If you want to go in there, I can’t stop you, you’re a grown man. But please, if there’s any love that you have for me, please let me do this and find my own way. And if I mean anything to you, don’t lay a hand on my client. Can you please do that?”
Miro: “My god is gone. If he was still with me, I’d be in this tournament ripping the spine out of Andrade. But I promise you I won’t lay a hand on your client. You have my word.”

Danielson fired off a chop to Kingston’s chest. Kingston retaliated, knocking Danielson off his feet! Danielson’s view was limited as he was wearing an eye patch over his injured eye. Danielson pulled back on Kingston’s arm, driving his knee into Kingston’s back.
Danielson German Suplexed Kingston. Danielson booted Kingston in the face. Danielson slid out of the ring but Kingston back suplexed Danielson on the arena floor! Danielson headbutted Kingston and dropped Kingston with a missile dropkick.
Danielson applied the Le Bell Lock. Kingston escaped, mounted Danielson, and began to ground and pound Danielson. Kingston cracked Danielson with a spinning back fist for a near fall! Kingston grabbed a two-count on Danielson after a vertical suplex. Danielson stunned Kingston with a round kick to the top of the head.
Danielson battered Kingston with a barrage of kicks. Eddie tossed Danielson with a half and half suplex. Danielson blocked a spinning backfist and then dumped Kingston on his head with a suplex!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Danielson grabbed Kingston’s wrists and began to stomp Kingston’s head! Kingston flipped off Bryan Danielson. Bryan nailed Kingston with the running knee strike and pinned Kingston!

Stokely Hathaway joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Kingston clotheslined Lethal over the top rope, sending Lethal crashing onto the arena floor. Back in the ring they traded stiff chops. Lethal pulled Kingston out of the ring and sent the champ headfirst into the steel ring post. Lethal took Kingston down with a snap suplex. Lethal followed up with a beautiful overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Lethal executed the Lethal Combination. Kingston countered the Lethal Injection with a suplex.
Karen Jarrett distracted the ref while Lethal crawled towards Jeff Jarrett’s guitar. Ortiz appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the guitar and smashed it over Dutt’s head. Kingston countered the Lethal Injection again and then pinned Lethal after a spinning backfist!
Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli
vs.
House of Black’s Buddy Matthews!
Buddy Matthews went right after Claudio right out of the gate. Claudio blasted Buddy with a European Uppercut outside the ring. Buddy rocked Claudio with a rising knee and Claudio answered with a lariat. Buddy tried for a meteora, but Claudio caught him and countered with the Big Swing!
Buddy employed the hammer and anvil elbow strikes. Claudio deadlifted Buddy into a cutter. Claudio accelerated into an uppercut. Claudio planted Buddy with the Ricola Bomb and then placed Buddy in the sharpshooter, forcing Buddy to tap out!
ROH World Tag Team Championship Match!
MJF (c.) & Samoa Joe vs. The Gunns—Austin & Colten!
MJF stomped Colten in the corner. MJF hit the Gunns with a double clothesline. Samoa Joe tagged himself in. Samoa Joe wiped out the Gunns with a tope suicida. Joe connected with a senton on Colten. Joe jabbed away at Colten.
Colten swiped MJF with a clothesline as the ref was distracted. Austin Gunn grabbed a tag and kicked MJF in the back. The Gunns employed quick tags and worked over MJF with tandem offense.
Samoa Joe tagged in and cleaned house on the Gunns. Samoa Joe powerslammed Austin for a near fall. Samoa Joe was setting up Austin for a muscle buster, but MJF tagged in. MJF went for a muscle buster of his own on Austin but Colten dropkicked MJF. The champ fired back with a double DDT on the Gunns. MJF was looking for the kangaroo kick, but Samoa Joe tagged himself in. The Gunns escaped muscle busters from MJF and Samoa Joe. The Gunns nailed Samoa Joe with the 3:10 to Yuma. MJF broke up the pin attempt.
Adam Cole came out and walked down the ramp on crutches. As the Gunns were distracted, Samoa Joe finished off Colten with a submission. MJF and Adam Cole hugged outside the ring.
After the match Samoa Joe got in MJF’s face. Samoa Joe and MJF shook hands, with MJF being a man of his word. Samoa Joe is now in line for a shot at the World title, as he helped MJF defend the ROH Tag titles tonight. Samoa Joe left and then the Gunns blindsided MJF in front of Adam Cole. Colten held down MJF while Austin cracked MJF in the leg with a steel chair! Adam Cole was forced to watch helplessly on crutches. Ref Paul Turner called for Doc Sampson to check on MJF who was writhing in pain.
MJF was stretchered out of the ring by the AEW medical team. MJF was loaded into an ambulance, and he yelled at Adam Cole, “Promise me you won’t let them take my championship!”
“How can Adam Cole live up to that promise, a man with one leg,” wondered Nigel.

Trios Match!
“Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland, Darby Allin & Sting (with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair)
vs.
TNT Champion Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, & Nick Wayne!
Nick Wayne cracked Darby Allin with a cheap shot. Darby grappled Nick Wayne to the mat. Darby followed up with two deep arm drags. Sting tagged in and threw Nick Wayne through the ropes and to the floor. Sting whipped Nick Wayne into the steel barricade.
Copeland tagged in and Christian Cage immediately tagged out to Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus charged at Cope with a clothesline. Cope escaped a chokeslam attempt. Darby tagged in but ate a right hand from Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus choke slammed Darby over the top rope and onto the ring apron.
Christian Cage stomped on Darby and then tagged out to Nick Wayne. Nick punted Darby in the shoulder. Luchasaurus entered the ring and slammed Darby, and then Nick Wayne followed up with a senton for a near fall. Darby nailed Nick with a Code Red from the top turnbuckle. Christian Cage crawled under the ring, popped up on the other side, pulled Copeland down and rammed him into the ring post! Christian taunted Darby, telling him to make the tag. Christian poured on the punishment.
Adam Copeland entered the match and unleashed hell on Luchasaurus. Copeland rocked Luchasaurus with an Impaler. Copeland threw Wayne over the top rope at Luchasaurus. Darby rocketed out of the ring with a tope at Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus!
Sting and Copeland hammered Luchasaurus. They hit Luchasaurus with a tandem Scorpion Death Drop. Luchasaurus battered Copeland with a lariat to the back of the neck. Christian Cage taunted Ric Flair and Flair chopped Christian. Christian connected with a low blow. Christian Cage tried to hit Copeland with the championship belt, but Copeland ducked, and Cage inadvertently hit Luchasaurus. Christian Cage abandoned his team. Sting splashed Luchasaurus and then Copeland hit the spear! Darby nailed Luchasaurus with the Coffin Drop and then Copeland pinned Luchasaurus!
Tony Schiavone was on the ramp with ref Bryce Remsburg and called out representatives of Bullet Club Gold—The Gunns. Instead “Switchblade” Jay White came out. “Tell them old man,” said Jay White.
Tony Schiavone: “I hate to say this, but unfortunately MJF is injured and will not be able to defend the title tonight. The match tonight between MJF and Jay White has been cancelled. And now by default, your new AEW World Champion is Jay White—”
Adam Cole’s music hit!
Adam Cole: “Jay, there is not a shot in hell you’re leaving the KIA Forum with Max’s championship. I made a promise to my friend, and I had a talk with Tony Khan and if MJF can’t defend his title tonight, I will do it for him, one leg or not. Tonight’s main event will be Jay White versus Adam Cole baybay!”
Jay White: “Let me refresh your damaged memory. I took you out once before. If you want to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong, I’ll take you out once and for all!”
AEW International Championship Match!
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (with HOOK)
vs. Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley (with Wheeler Yuta)!
Taz joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Moxley sent Cassidy onto the announcers’ table. Mox hoisted up Cassidy and dropped him across the barricade. Moxley chopped at Orange and taunted him. Moxley drove Orange to the mat with a Bossman slam.
Orange rocked Mox with a diving DDT. Moxley was busted wide open. Orange flew out of the ring with an elbow suicida to Moxley. Orange hit Mox with another one! Orange cracked Mox with a third elbow suicida, right on the jaw!
Orange countered a Death Rider with a Stun Dog Millionaire! Mox grounded and pounded Orange Cassidy and then transitioned into a bulldog choke on Orange! Orange jumped on Mox’s back and applied the Red Rum! Moxley was able to get to the ropes, forcing the ref break. Moxley stunned Orange with a cutter and then a Gotch style piledriver for a two-count!
Orange dropkicked Moxley and Moxley collided headfirst into an exposed turnbuckle corner. Orange pulped Mox with three Orange Punches! And then a fourth! And then a fifth Orange Punch! And a sixth Orange Punch! Orange followed up with the Beach Break and pinned Jon Moxley!
It was announced that Tony Khan made the match official for tonight’s main event: “Switchblade” Jay White vs. Adam Cole for the AEW World Championship!
Additionally, Mark Briscoe was announced as the next participant in the Continental Classic, which begins this Wednesday on Dynamite!
AEW Women’s World Championship Match!
Hikaru Shida (c.) vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm (with Luther the Butler)!
Storm and Shida exchanged forearms. Shida stormed Toni with a running knee strike. Mariah May was watching on a monitor backstage. Shida chopped Storm in the chest. Toni backed Shida into the corner with rapid fire chops. Storm pounced on Shida with a running bulldog.
Luther handed Toni two shoes. The ref saw one of the shoes and pulled it away, but Storm had a second shoe hidden in her trunks. Storm cracked Shida in the head with the shoe while the ref had her back turned. Shida fired back with a Strong Zero. Shida hit the question mark kick and then a Falcon Arrow for a near fall on “Timeless” Toni Storm!
Storm avoided a meteora and Shida’s ankle buckled on the landing. Storm applied an ankle lock. Shida reached the ropes, forcing the ref to break the hold. Storm pulled off one of Shida’s boots. Shida grabbed a kendo stick, but Luther tried to pull it away. Shida wrecked Luther with the kendo stick.
Storm walloped Shida with a German Suplex. Storm had a metal tray in her trunks. Storm bashed Shida with her hip attack and pinned Shida!
And new AEW Women’s World Champion… “Timeless” Toni Storm!
Mariah May walked out and handed Toni Storm a bouquet of flowers.
Renee Paquette was backstage with ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston!
Eddie Kingston said he had his eyes on the Continental Classic. He said he wanted to up the game a little bit. “I want to put the New Japan Strong Openweight Championship and the ROH World Championship on the line in each of my matches in the tournament. Let’s make this the biggest and best tournament in pro wrestling.”

Dax starched Malakai with a right hand. Malakai knocked a ladder into Dax’s mouth. Rush and Cash whacked one another with nasty shots, forearms and elbows. Cash threw his body through the ropes at Brody, Rush, and Big Bill! Dralistico jumped over the top with a tope con hiro and took out the pile!
Ricky Starks climbed to the top, but Malakai knocked him off his perch. Malakai moonsaulted out of the ring and onto the pile! Dax superplexed Starks out of the ring and onto the men outside!
“There are bodies everywhere on the outside. You knew it was going to be physical,” said Taz.
Big Bill and Brody King collided with one another in the center of the ring, exchanging wild, clubbing shots. Rush and Dax rammed them with ladders. Dax threw his ladder at Rush. Dralistico dropkicked Dax, who had his head in between rungs of the ladder. Dralistico staggered Cash with a corkscrew kick. Dralistico climbed the ladder, but Cash shoved the ladder down!
Cash powerslammed Rush, catching Rush midflight. Cash started climbing the ladder, but Malakai pulled Cash down. Black slingshotted a ladder into the face of Wheeler.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Cash Wheeler spiked Black with a piledriver on a ladder! Brody attempted a tope suicida, but Big Bill pulled up a ladder and Brody crashed into it. Starks speared Dralistico and then speared Rush. Starks drilled Dax with a swinging DDT. Starks sent Black overhead with a suplex into a ladder.
Brody King cannonballed Dax, who was against a ladder that was propped against the turnbuckles. Brody began to climb the ladder toward the titles, but Big Bill yanked the ladder out from beneath Brody. Dralistico lunged off the ropes with a lung blower to Big Bill. Rush rammed Big Bill with a ladder, sandwiching Big Bill in the corner. Rush rocked Big Bill with the Bull’s Horns, kicking a ladder into Bill’s face!
Starks and Rush climbed opposite sides of the ladder. Dax grabbed a taller ladder and began the climb towards the titles. Cash grabbed another ladder, but Brody backdropped him. Dralistico planted Brody with a poison rana. Brody decimated Dralistico with a Gonzo Bomb on a ladder that was propped up between the ring and the guardrail!
Cash Wheeler climbed to the top rope and splashed Brody on the ladder, sacrificing his own body. Dax climbed up a ladder toward the titles, but Ricky Starks met him up top. Black pulled Dax down and connected with the End. Starks grabbed the titles and the champions retained!
TBS Championship Match!
Kris Statlander (c.) vs. Julia Hart vs. Skye Blue!
As Skye Blue was making her entrance, she removed her baseball cap, stomped on it, and put a crown on.
Kris body slammed Julia and then body slammed Skye. Skye Blue rolled up Kris from behind for a near fall. Julia jumped on Statlander’s back, but Statlander shucked her off. Skye Blue clocked Kris with a knee strike. Statlander double suplexed Skye and Julia on the arena floor, reversing their attempt on Statlander.
Skye Blue offered her hand to Julia and Julia accepted it…and then began to bounce Skye Blue’s head off the mat repeatedly. Blue mounted Julia and began to pound her with shots. She followed up with the PK to Julia. Kris charged at Skye and Julia with knee strikes.
Skye nailed Kris with a neck breaker. Julia rallied back with an elbow to Skye Blue. Julia took Statlander off her feet with a lariat. Skye Blue rocked Hart with a thrust kick. Julia moonsaulted Skye Blue but Statlander pulled Julia off Blue to break up the pin attempt. Statlander powerslammed Julia on the arena floor. Skye Blue blasted Kris with a Code Blue for a near fall!
Julia applied the Heartless Lock to Skye Blue, but Kris grabbed Julia and sent her overhead with a German Suplex! Then Kris sent Skye flying high with a German Suplex. Kris crushed Skye with the Saturday Night Fever and went for the pin, but instead Julia knocked Kris away, covered Skye, and won the match!
And new TBS Champion…Julia Hart!
“Man, she stole that win and it was perfectly done,” said Taz.
Tony Schiavone was in the ring for the blockbuster contract signing!
“Ladies and gentlemen let’s bring in the newest member of All Elite Wrestling,” said Schiavone.
Will Ospreay walked down to the ring!
Will Ospreay signed the contract and made it official!
Ospreay: “It feels great! Listen up. I’m happy to be a part of the team, but I am not going to come in just yet. When I was 22 years old, I was part of New Japan Pro Wrestling. I’m 30 years old now, so I’m begging all of you, let me finish up, and then I’ll be on the road to Revolution. And then I’ll be all yours, but more importantly, I am All Elite, bruv! Mr. Tony Khan, do us a favor. Line up the best that you got, especially for Wembley Stadium, because I’m going to show ‘em all what elite really looks like, bruv!”
Texas Death Match!
“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)!
Page cleaned Swerve’s clock with a Buckshot Lariat right at the bell. Hangman taped Swerve’s wrists together. Hangman had a staple gun and began stapling Swerve’s body! Page plastered Swerve in the side of the head with a steel chair!
“Hangman Adam Page is completely unhinged,” said Excalibur.
Page grabbed a steel chair wrapped in barb wire. Page swung it at Swerve, but Swerve saved himself by kicking Page between the legs. Prince Nana had scissors and cut Swerve free of the tape.
Swerve pulled the staple gun and stapled Page right between the eyes. Swerve sent Hangman headfirst into the barbed wire wrapped steel chair.
“I feel like I’m back in Philly. This is wild!” said Taz.
Swerve pulled a cinder block out from beneath the ring. Hangman and Swerve brawled on the ring apron. Swerve spiked Hangman with a Death Valley Driver on the cinder block!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Swerve delivered a piledriver on top of the guardrail! Back in the ring, Page planted Swerve with a fallaway slam. Page sent Swerve flying with another fallaway slam. Page wrapped barbed wire around Swerve’s head. Page trapped Swerve’s arm against his body by wrapping the barbed wire around him. Page hit another fallaway slam. Page moonsaulted off the post and landed on Swerve with the barbed wire wrapped steel chair!
“This is hard to watch,” said Nigel.
Swerve intercepted the Buckshot Lariat attempt. Swerve booted the chair into Page’s head. Page reversed a tombstone and dropped Swerve onto the barbed wire wrapped steel chair with a tombstone piledriver of his own!
“This goes beyond pro wrestling. This is evolutionary,” said Nigel.
Swerve power bombed Page onto the barbed wire wrapped chair and followed up with the Swerve Stomp! Swerve grabbed a black bag from beneath the ring. Swerve spilled the bag onto Page’s back. It was full of broken glass. Swerve connected with a 450 splash onto Page, who had glass all over his bag. Swerve followed up with the JML Driver!
Swerve placed a board covered with barb wire and bridged it between two chairs in the ring. Page chomped down on Swerve’s forehead. Page planted Swerve with a fallaway slam off the top and followed up with a Dead Eye on the barbed wire!
Page wrapped the barbed wire around Swerve’s head and face. Page blasted Swerve with a Buckshot barbed wire lariat! Prince Nana pulled Swerve out of the ring to break the ref’s count. Brian Cage ambushed Page from behind and power bombed him! Brian Cage pulled out a table and set it up on the arena floor. Page cracked Cage with a barbed wire wrapped rolling elbow. Adam Page almost broke Nana in half with a Dead Eye through the table! Swerve shattered the cinder block on Hangman Page!
Swerve wrapped a chain around Page’s throat, and then Swerve yanked on the chain after it was draped across ring post. Page couldn’t answer the ten count and Swerve was declared the winner!
“By the grace of God, this one is over,” said Nigel.

The Golden Jets—Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega
vs.
The Young Bucks—Matt & Nick Jackson!
Don Callis joined the commentary team for this match.
Chris Jericho and Matt Jackson chain wrestled. Jericho chopped at Matt and then Omega tagged himself in, allowing Matt some time to step away from Jericho and his swarm of chops. Matt mauled Omega with a flurry of shots to the back of the head. Omega answered with a hurracanrana. Omega launched himself with the Terminator Dive and landed on Matt Jackson!
Chris Jericho slid into Nick Jackson with a baseball dropkick. The Bucks went to work on Jericho’s arm, trying to take out the arm Jericho uses for the Judas Effect. Jericho dropkicked Nick Jackson from the middle rope and then tagged out to Omega.
Omega took Matt down with a snapdragon suplex. Omega wiped out both Bucks with his offense. Omega moonsaulted out of the ring and onto Matt Jackson. Omega followed up with a crossbody press to Nick, but Nick countered by rolling through for a near fall. Omega smashed Nick with a knee strike.
Jericho lionsaulted onto both Young Bucks! Jericho was looking for the Walls, but Matt Jackson kicked Jericho in the injured arm. Nick Jackson connected with a rolling roundhouse to Jericho. Matt was looking for a rana, but Jericho put the brakes on and sat down with the Walls of Jericho. Matt used the heel of his boot to kick Jericho in the arm and escape the hold.
Matt Jackson sent the Golden Jets flying with double Northern Lights Suplexes. Jericho lawn darted Matt Jackson’s face into the mat. Matt held Jericho while Nick connected with a senton. Nick Jackson kicked Jericho between the legs. The ref admonished Nick and while she had her back turned, Matt kicked Omega between the legs!
Nick Jackson rocked Jericho with the Judas Effect! The Bucks bashed Jericho with the BTE Trigger. Somehow Jericho kicked out of Matt’s pin attempt. Nick Jackson superkicked Jericho on the injured arm. Omega tagged in and stunned Nick with a V Trigger. Omega lifted off Nick for a One Winged Angel, but Nick reversed it with a rana. Matt planted Omega with a One Winged Angel and Nick covered Omega, but the Cleaner kicked out!
The fan chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Omega drilled Matt Jackson with a German Suplex. Nick Jackson starched Omega with a superkick. Jericho ate a superkick from Matt Jackson. Omega clocked Matt with a V Trigger and then finished him off with the One Winged Angel to score the pin!
“And now Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho can challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Titles anytime they choose,” said Excalibur.
Nick Jackson was furious at the loss and began tearing apart the announcers’ desk. Omega extended his hand to the Bucks, but the Bucks stormed off.

Originally scheduled as: MJF (c.) vs. Bullet Club Gold’s “Switchblade” Jay White!
Adam Cole came to the ring on crutches.
Jay White was introduced and walked to the ring with the Gunns by his side.
Justin Roberts announced Adam Cole as representing MJF.
“This is going to be a massacre,” said Taz.
Before the bell rang, an ambulance driven by MJF pulled into the back of the arena. MJF hobbled to the ring!
MJF slapped Switchblade in the face, but Switchblade went right to work on MJF’s injured left leg. Jay White diverted the attention of the ref while the Gunns stomped on MJF outside the ring. The ref eventually saw the Gunns interfering and ejected them from ringside.
MJF turned the tables on Jay White and chomped down on White’s forehead. MJF fired up and hit the kangaroo kick on Switchblade. Jay White dropkicked MJF in the bad leg. Jay White spiked MJF with a DDT. Jay White planted MJF with a uranage for a near fall.
“I hate to say it, but I think the presence of Adam Cole at ringside is distracting MJF,” said Excalibur.
MJF gouged at Jay’s eyes and then DDT’ed him on the floor. MJF slammed Jay White onto the announcers’ desk. MJF dropped an elbow from the top turnbuckle right onto Jay White on the arena floor!
The fans chanted “He’s our scumbag! He’s our scumbag!”
Back in the ring, Jay White employed a dragon screw leg whip on MJF. Jay White tied up MJF in the Tree of Woe. Jay White climbed to the top, but MJF yanked White down to the mat. Jay White climbed back up and nailed MJF with an avalanche uranage for a two-count!
MJF countered the Blade Runner with a spinning elbow. Jay White answered with a release German Suplex. MJF spiked White with a tombstone piledriver. MJF jumped over the top rope and caught Jay White with a cutter, planting him on the arena floor!
“We are witnessing MJF take risks like he never has in his entire career,” said Excalibur.
Back in the ring Jay White went back to work on MJF’s injured leg. Jay White spat at Adam Cole and then applied the figure four to MJF. Adam Cole had a towel and was contemplating throwing it into the ring to end the match. MJF reversed the figure four. Jay White made a desperate dive and grabbed the bottom rope to force the break. Adam Cole had his ROH Tag Title and was thinking about using it against Jay White, but Jay White grabbed it away and smacked MJF in the head with it! Jay White covered MJF but MJF kicked out at two!
Jay White was yanking on MJF’s leg, but MJF shoved him away, with White colliding with the ref and knocking him down. Adam Cole slipped the Dynamite Diamond Ring into the ring, but before MJF could retrieve it, Jay White grabbed it. MJF hit White with a low blow before White could use the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF slipped the Dynamite Diamond Ring on his hand. The Gunns ran down and MJF clocked them! Jay White was looking for the Blade Runner, but MJF cracked Jay with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and pinned Switchblade!
