Netflix has released the first look and teaser art for “Nemesis,” a new crime drama series starring Matthew Law and Y’lan Noel.
Created by Courtney A. Kemp and co-created by Tani Marole, the series arrives on Netflix on May 14, 2026.

“Nemesis” centers on two men on opposite sides of the law — an expert criminal and a relentless detective — whose paths collide in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
What begins as a story that subverts the traditional heist genre quickly evolves into something deeper, exploring themes of power, loyalty, and survival. As tensions rise, the series dives into what drives each character, and how far they’re willing to go when everything is on the line.
A New Series from the Creator of the Power Universe
The series marks a major new project for Courtney A. Kemp, best known for creating the Power franchise, and is the first installment in a new creative partnership with Netflix.
Co-created with Tani Marole, “Nemesis” is described as a psychological crime drama that blends action, character-driven storytelling, and emotional stakes.
The first two episodes are directed by Mario Van Peebles, who also serves as an executive producer.
Cast and Characters
Matthew Law stars as Detective Isaiah Stiles, while Y’lan Noel plays Coltrane Wilder, a master criminal whose actions set the story in motion.
The series also features an ensemble cast including Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre, along with a lineup of guest stars that further expand the show’s world.
