I love that Poppy is going to be a mom. From a writing perspective, I have to ask about all of Ian’s motherhood programs that he created. Were you just in the room like, the wilder the idea the better?

“We really went into that thinking, okay, here’s a person, Ian, who really wants to help, but is completely incapable of knowing how to do that for many reasons. We thought, what’s the funniest way for him to try to try to help and ultimately fall on his face? <span class=”But some of it was syncing up with the fact that a lot of the women on the show do really like [playing] those restaurant games.

I know Charlotte plays like a lot of those things that are very soothing and organizational. And so the idea that you could think that because you’re good at a restaurant game, you’d be a good mom. <span class=”It’s just like really funny to me.” – Megan

Mythic Quest Season 4 Review: MQ Is Back and Better Than Ever

I’ve watched SideQuest. And I have to say as a geek, I really love that it kind of shows off the geek community that really supports these games and fandoms. If you could just summarize what you are excited for fans to see with the show?

“I’m really excited because as you said these episodes are really love letters to people that are fans of anything. Mythic Quest is the center of all of these stories, but they’re really about the relationships and creativity, but also it really is about loving something a lot, but then also the community around when you really love something and the relationships that happen and the tensions that happen.

So much of our writers and our own experiences went into those episodes. They really are about love of other people, but also geeky stuff like comics, etc. And also the difficulty of figuring out how to navigate your life in terms of creativity, work-life balance, that kind of thing. So I hope that [when] people watch it, will see pieces of themselves in it.” – Ashly
