We sit down with Jamie Linn Watson and Jamie Shapiro to talk about SKIT, the sharp, meta-comedy that dives headfirst into the chaotic world of content creators and the fast-evolving Creator Economy. Watson discusses stepping into the role of Sarah McConnell and bringing authenticity to a character navigating the pressures of online performance. Shapiro, who plays Faye Taub and also serves as Co-Producer, breaks down the challenges and triumphs of bringing a micro-budget indie to life.

The film also features cameos from Mary Birdsong (Reno 911!) and Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation), plus music from indie bands Thesaurus Rex and Boys Go to Jupiter, with an original score by Emmy-winning composer Jack Elliott.
Shot on a $65,000 micro-budget under SAG-AFTRA’s Ultra Low Budget Agreement, SKIT was filmed over just eight days in Fall 2024.
Written and directed by Badr Mastrouq and Des Lombardo, and produced by Jamie Shapiro, Paul Bukoskey, and executive producer Evan Shapiro, the film marks a bold debut for its creative team.
