Born in Los Angeles and raised in Miami, Cuban American actor Carlo Mendez has been making a name for himself with his most recent Guest appearance on Fox’s hit show “9-1-1,” He is often recognized on popular including such as “Superior Donuts” on CBS, “Parks and Recreation” on NBC, “90210” on the CW, and “The Real Rob” on Netflix. Currently, Carlo is a Series Regular on the ITV network and Emmy Award winning show “The Bay.”
Carlo considers his sister and accomplished actress, Eva Mendes, one of his biggest inspirations and always follows her advice and encouragement. His other big inspiration comes from his late older brother who died in 2016 of throat cancer. For this reason, Carlo has become a passionate advocate for all causes that have to do with fundraising, research, creating awareness, and helping people suffering from all types of cancers.
Carlo has also been keeping busy in features as well. Most recently, he starred as the leading role in the feature film “Demise” which was recently released. Last year, he also starred in the feature film “The Legend Of Jack and Diane” where he was seen opposite the late Tom Sizemore. Carlo has recently wrapped a handful of other exciting films and Television projects that are set to be released in the coming year. Showing true range as an actor, his body of work includes comedy, action, drama and horror.
Next year, Carlo will lead “20 Pounds to Happiness” from ‘Real Women Have Curves’ writer Josefina Lopez, and this fall will star in the highly anticipated Paramount+ series “Dexter: Origins” opposite Patrick Gibson and Christian Slater.
