About Jesse Kove
Jesse Kove is a dynamic actor, producer, and rising star best known for his memorable role as Varsity Captain David in Netflix’s global hit series Cobra Kai, where he made waves by playing the young bully who helped shape a young John Kreese — portrayed by his real-life father, Martin Kove, the legendary Sensei Kreese from The Karate Kid saga. This full-circle moment earned Jesse acclaim and firmly rooted him within the iconic Karate Kid universe.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in the vibrant world of film, television, and theater, Jesse practically grew up on set. By age 10, he was already crafting his own short films with his father’s camera and staging skits for friends and family. His passion for storytelling led him to study at a variety of performing arts schools, improv classes, and eventually to the New York stage, where he honed his skills Off-Broadway.
Jesse’s screen credits span across film and television, including TV roles in Magnum P.I., BLUE RIDGE and COBRA KAI, films such as the WWII epic D-Day, the 2025 chilling horror favorite SCREAMBOAT, Hallmark channels A TASTE OF LOVE, the faith-based drama On Wings of Eagles alongside Joseph Fiennes, a spiritual sequel to Chariots of Fire, and the anticipated release of the 2025 political action thriller PRESIDENT DOWN. Beyond acting, Jesse is a dedicated filmmaker, having produced the indie teen crime thriller As Night Comes.
With his 6’2” athletic superhero frame, magnetic vulnerable screen presence, and deep Hollywood roots, Jesse is quickly carving his path as a superhero-in-the-making and a storyteller with staying power.
