For the very first time in the United States, Donguri Republic, the official, beloved Studio Ghibli merchandise shop, is opening its doors. You won’t need to book a flight to Tokyo to experience it; the magic is landing right in Southern California at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance.

Known across Japan and Asia as the ultimate destination for Ghibli lovers, Donguri Republic is famous for its immersive, whimsical atmosphere. The Los Angeles pop-up will feature beautiful, wood-inspired interiors and whimsical displays designed to make you feel like you’ve stepped right into a frame of an animation masterpiece.
Oh, and did we mention the photo op? A giant Totoro will be there, waiting at a bus stop for the Cat Bus, ready to pose for your next favorite photo.
