Sideshow’s return to San Diego Comic-Con felt like the comeback collectors had been waiting for.
After several years away from the physical convention floor, Sideshow came back to SDCC 2026 at Booth #2401 with one of its biggest and most exciting showcases yet. The booth was packed with major reveals, premium collectibles, surprise Marvel announcements, Hot Toys displays, international partner releases, and a refreshed setup that made the experience feel more open, more interactive, and more personal for fans.
For collectors, this was not just a booth. It was a statement. Sideshow is back at Comic-Con, and it returned with the kind of presence that reminded everyone why the company remains one of the biggest names in high-end pop culture collectibles.
A Collector Showcase That Felt Bigger and More Accessible
One of the best parts of Sideshow’s SDCC return was the new booth layout.
Instead of keeping everything locked away behind heavy casing, the setup allowed fans to get closer to the figures, statues, and collectibles on display. That made a huge difference. These pieces are built around detail, texture, sculpting, paintwork, tailoring, and presence, and being able to view them up close gave the booth a museum-like quality without making it feel distant or untouchable.

For collectors, that access matters. Seeing a statue or figure online is one thing. Standing in front of it, seeing the fabric, the portrait work, the scale, and the small design choices in person is a completely different experience.
Sideshow also added a more hands-on fan element by allowing attendees to style select Hot Toys figures. That kind of interaction gave collectors a stronger connection to the pieces and made the booth feel less like a static display and more like a living showroom built for fans who understand the art behind premium collectibles.
The Marvel Surprise That Took Over the Booth

Sideshow and Hot Toys saved one of their biggest moments for the final day of Comic-Con.
Following Marvel’s Hall H presentation, the curtain was lifted on a new line of high-end 1/6 scale Avengers: Doomsday collectibles. The reveal immediately became one of the booth’s biggest draws, with collectors crowding around to get the first look at several major Marvel characters from the upcoming film.
The standout was Doctor Doom, seated on his sinister throne. The Doctor Doom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure and Doom’s Throne were revealed as major centerpiece items and made available to pre-order.
The lineup also included Professor X, featuring a striking portrait and tailored fabric outfit, along with Magneto, crafted around Sir Ian McKellen’s portrayal of the Master of Magnetism. Magneto’s figure includes a helmeted headsculpt, separate rolling eyeball design, and implanted light-grey wool hair for added realism.
For X-Men fans, the reveals only got bigger. The Cyclops 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure features a detailed likeness of James Marsden, complete with an LED light-up visor and attachable optic effects. Beast was also shown with a sculpted portrait and plush details, while Gambit brought a likeness of Channing Tatum, rolling eyeballs with a UV luminous reflective effect, a Bō staff, playing cards, and kinetic energy effects.
Then came the massive reveal of a new Sentinel figure, depicting the mutant-hunting robots as they appear in Avengers: Doomsday.
For Marvel collectors, it was a huge moment. For Sideshow, it was the kind of surprise that proved its SDCC return was not just about being back. It was about coming back with impact.
Sideshow Expanded Far Beyond Marvel
While the Marvel and Hot Toys reveals drew massive attention, Sideshow’s 2026 booth was not limited to superheroes.

The company used its SDCC return to show the full range of its growing collectible universe, with new products inspired by Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pokémon, Universal Monsters, Masters of the Universe, One Piece, Aliens, Predator, Critical Role, and more.
One of the major new license moments came from the Wizarding World, with Sideshow unveiling its first official entry into the Harry Potter line: a Severus Snape Premium Format Mixed Media Figure modeled after Alan Rickman’s iconic portrayal.
Gaming and RPG fans also had plenty to celebrate. Sideshow debuted the Astarion Statue, launching a new Baldur’s Gate 3 high-end collectible line, while also showcasing new collectibles tied to major gaming and anime audiences.
The booth also featured a new Snorlax Diorama prototype for Pokémon fans, along with horror and fantasy pieces including Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist, Legolas from The Lord of the Rings, and cult-favorite releases from partner brands.
Hot Toys Had a Massive Presence

As the primary distributor for Hot Toys, Sideshow devoted significant space to upcoming 1/6 scale and 1/4 scale releases.
The Hot Toys showcase included Marvel, Star Wars, Kamen Rider, cult classics, and major genre properties. Star Wars fans got looks at pieces like The Mandalorian and Grogu with Anzellans in 1/4 scale, along with a 1/6 scale Embo figure.
The Kamen Rider display was another strong signal of Hot Toys expanding deeper into tokusatsu collecting, with figures including Kuuga, Agito, Black RX, BioRider, Roborider, and the Acrobatter vehicle accessory.
There was also major cult classic energy throughout the booth, including Labyrinth figures from Infinite Statue x Kaustic Plastic featuring Jareth the Goblin King, Hoggle, and a Goblin Warrior.
That variety helped make the booth feel like more than a superhero stop. It felt like a true global import hub for collectors with different tastes across movies, television, anime, games, horror, fantasy, and pop culture history.
A Smarter Hybrid Convention Strategy
Sideshow’s return also showed how much the company has learned from its virtual Sideshow Con era.

From 2023 through 2025, Sideshow skipped the physical SDCC show floor and leaned into digital fan experiences. In 2026, it did not abandon that online strategy. It brought it with them.
The booth worked as a physical showcase for attendees in San Diego, while digital pre-orders, RSVPs, and online reveals allowed collectors at home to stay connected in real time. Instead of separating the convention floor from the retail experience, Sideshow made the booth part of a larger hybrid system.
That strategy felt smart. Fans at the booth could scan, RSVP, pre-order, and follow up immediately, while fans outside San Diego were not left waiting for the reveals to reach them later. It made the comeback feel modern and collector-focused.
Exclusives Brought Back the SDCC Rush
Sideshow also brought back the thrill of limited physical exclusives.

At Booth #2401, fans could find limited-run items available on a daily first-come, first-served basis, including the Batman: The Animated Series “Mad Love” Fine Art Print by Phantom City Creative, limited to 220 pieces, along with gold variant Court of the Dead collectibles including the Skull Apple, Peeled Apple, and Cthulhu Apple, each limited to 500 pieces.
That kind of exclusive drop still matters at Comic-Con. It gives fans a reason to show up early, return to the booth, and feel like they are part of a shared collector moment that can only happen on the floor.
Sideshow Came Back Better Than Ever
What made Sideshow’s return so exciting was not just the number of reveals. It was the way the whole booth experience came together.

The open display setup made the collectibles feel more present. The Hot Toys styling element added a hands-on layer. The Marvel surprises gave the booth a massive final-day headline. The expanded licenses showed Sideshow thinking beyond the obvious. The hybrid strategy kept collectors at home connected. The exclusives brought back the SDCC floor energy fans missed.
It all worked.
Sideshow being back at San Diego Comic-Con felt right. More importantly, it felt like the company came back better than ever.
For collectors, Booth #2401 was one of the most exciting stops of SDCC 2026. It celebrated the art of premium collectibles, respected the fans who make this community so passionate, and reminded everyone that some things simply hit different when you see them in person.
