Disneyland Resort is turning the spotlight over to families this summer with a slate of new experiences, returning entertainment, limited-time offerings and major savings designed to make 2026 one of the biggest summers yet at The Happiest Place on Earth.
Running throughout the summer season, Disney’s “Kids Rule Summer” campaign brings together new Star Wars adventures, immersive family entertainment, seasonal celebrations and discounted ticket offers aimed at helping families create unforgettable vacation memories.
One of the biggest additions arrives May 22 with a brand-new mission aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Timed to the theatrical release of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the updated attraction introduces expanded gameplay, new destinations and direct interactions with Grogu himself.
The refreshed attraction allows guests to travel to iconic locations including Bespin, Coruscant and the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor, while engineers gain enhanced responsibilities that include choosing destinations and communicating with Grogu during missions.
Disney is also expanding the overall Star Wars experience throughout Batuu with appearances from characters spanning multiple eras of the franchise, including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo and Imperial Stormtroopers. Fans will also hear classic John Williams themes woven throughout Black Spire Outpost.
Families visiting the parks this summer can also experience “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” at the Fantasyland Theatre, which recently debuted as an interactive stage experience inspired by the massively popular animated series. Bluey and Bingo appear live on stage throughout the day alongside musicians and performers in a reimagined “Bluey” fun fair atmosphere.
The event lineup also includes:
- “Disney Friends Dance Party” at Disney California Adventure Park
- The return of “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast” in Tomorrowland
- Limited-time “Soarin’ Across America” beginning July 2, 2026
- Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes from June 19 through July 19
- Yardfest honoring HBCU culture and traditions in Downtown Disney District
Disneyland’s ongoing 70th Celebration also continues through Aug. 9, 2026, featuring fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars including “Paint the Night,” “World of Color Happiness!” and “Wondrous Journeys.”
Beyond the attractions and entertainment, Disneyland Resort is also leaning heavily into affordability this summer through its Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer.
For a limited time, children ages 3 through 9 can visit both parks with special Park Hopper pricing starting at:
- 1-Day Ticket: $50
- 2-Day Ticket: $100
- 3-Day Ticket: $150
The promotion runs for visits between May 22 and Sept. 7, 2026, with reservations required and availability subject to capacity.
Disneyland Resort hotels are also offering savings of up to 15% on select Sunday through Thursday stays during the same promotional window.
This summer’s rollout highlights Disney’s continued focus on blending major franchise storytelling with immersive park experiences while making multi-generational family vacations more accessible. Between Star Wars, “Bluey,” Marvel attractions, classic rides and seasonal entertainment, Disneyland Resort is positioning 2026 as one of its most expansive summer offerings in years.
