Retro gaming fans looking for something new to put under the tree this holiday season can now reserve My Arcade’s Gamestation Retro Go, a portable system packing more than 200 officially licensed games from Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, Jaleco and Piko Interactive.
Preorders are now open through GameStop in the United States and EB Games Canada, with the handheld priced at $199.99 USD ahead of its holiday season launch.
Gamestation Retro Go is part of My Arcade’s new Gamestation Retro collection, first unveiled at CES 2026 under the tagline “Legendary Games Unite.”

PAC-MAN, Street Fighter II, Mega Man and More in One Handheld
The biggest draw is the library.
Gamestation Retro Go includes more than 200 built in games, bringing together recognizable arcade and console titles from several publishers.
Bandai Namco Entertainment classics include PAC-MAN, GALAGA, RALLY-X, DIG DUG and MAPPY, while Capcom contributes franchises and titles including Street Fighter II, Mega Man, Final Fight, Strider, Bionic Commando and 1942.
The collection includes six versions of Street Fighter II, multiple Mega Man games and an additional selection of titles from Jaleco and Piko Interactive.
For players who grew up bouncing between arcade cabinets and home consoles, that variety is part of the appeal. Instead of building the handheld around one publisher or franchise, My Arcade is combining several different pieces of retro gaming history into one device.

An 8 Inch Screen and Up to Five Hours of Portable Play
Gamestation Retro Go features an 8 inch high resolution display, giving the system considerably more screen space than many compact retro handhelds.
A rechargeable battery is rated for approximately four to five hours of playtime, allowing the system to function as an actual portable gaming device rather than something designed primarily to remain plugged in.
Built in Wi-Fi also allows the hardware to receive updates, while game save functionality means players do not have to approach every classic with the same start from scratch mentality of the arcade era.

My Arcade is also including its patented SmartGlow control indication technology.
SmartGlow illuminates the controls needed for the game currently being played, giving players an immediate visual reference for unfamiliar titles.
That could be particularly helpful in a collection containing more than 200 games from different platforms and eras. Instead of expecting players to memorize every control scheme before starting, the hardware itself provides some guidance.
You Can Take the Retro Go to the TV
Portable play is only part of the design.
Gamestation Retro Go can connect to a television through HDMI, allowing the system to move from handheld play to a larger display.
The device also supports one or two players, although additional controllers are required for multiplayer games and are sold separately.
Included in the box are a charge cable, HDMI cable, AC adapter and user guide.
That gives the system a little more flexibility for anyone who wants one device for both portable gaming and a more traditional living room setup.

A Retro Library Built Around Familiar Names
The $199.99 price puts Gamestation Retro Go beyond impulse purchase territory, so the strength of the included library will likely be the biggest factor for many buyers.
The recognizable names are certainly there.
PAC-MAN and GALAGA remain arcade staples decades after their original releases. Street Fighter II helped define competitive fighting games, while Mega Man, Final Fight, Strider and Bionic Commando represent very different parts of Capcom’s history.
The Jaleco and Piko Interactive selections broaden the collection beyond those headline franchises and give players an opportunity to discover games they may not already know.
For longtime players, that creates nostalgia.
For younger players, it offers a fairly large snapshot of what gaming looked and felt like before massive open worlds, season passes and hundred gigabyte downloads became normal.

Gamestation Retro Go Arrives This Holiday Season
My Arcade has not announced a specific street date beyond the 2026 holiday season, but preorders are available now.
The company has positioned Gamestation Retro Go as one of the major products in its broader Gamestation Retro lineup, expanding on a catalog already built around compact arcade machines, Plug ‘N Play consoles and portable systems.
At launch, the handheld will include:
200+ built in games, an 8 inch high resolution display, approximately four to five hours of battery life, SmartGlow controls, built in Wi-Fi, save functionality, HDMI output and support for up to two players with additional controllers.
For anyone whose idea of a good gaming night still includes chasing a high score in GALAGA, running through another round of Street Fighter II or revisiting Mega Man, there is a lot of familiar territory packed into one machine.
Gamestation Retro Go is available to preorder now for $199.99 USD through GameStop and EB Games Canada.
