Marvel fans and Magic players are about to witness one of the biggest crossover events in tabletop gaming history.

Wizards of the Coast has officially unveiled new details for Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes, providing fans with a closer look at the collectible cards, premium treatments, Commander decks, and chase collectibles arriving when the highly anticipated set launches on June 26, 2026. The crossover brings together decades of Marvel storytelling with Magic: The Gathering’s strategic gameplay, creating a release designed to appeal to both longtime Planeswalkers and comic book collectors alike.

At the center of the reveal is the first Infinity Stone card showcased for the set: The Mind Stone. The iconic Marvel artifact will be available in multiple versions, including a standard edition, a borderless Gauntlet treatment featuring Thanos, and an ultra-rare textless Cosmic Foil version. According to Wizards of the Coast, fewer than 150 copies of the Cosmic Foil Mind Stone will be printed, instantly making it one of the most sought-after collectibles in recent Magic history.

The set also introduces several visually striking card treatments inspired directly by Marvel Comics. Among the highlights are the new Classic Comic Cards, which combine iconic comic book artwork with Magic card functionality. Characters such as Elektra, Thanos, Black Panther, and Iron Man will receive special treatments that celebrate the artistic legacy of Marvel while maintaining full gameplay compatibility.

Another standout feature is the introduction of Source Material Cards, which blend classic Marvel comic artwork from legendary artists including Jack Kirby and Alex Ross with beloved Magic reprints. These cards offer collectors a unique fusion of two of the most influential entertainment brands in pop culture history.

For fans looking to showcase their favorite heroes and villains, Wizards has also revealed Borderless Logo Cards. These feature stylized portraits set against bold color backgrounds and incorporate recognizable Marvel character logos, creating a collectible display piece while remaining fully playable in decks. Characters including Scarlet Witch, Vision, Thor, and Namor are among those receiving the treatment.

The set goes beyond individual cards with a substantial lineup of products aimed at both casual and competitive players. Four themed Commander decks will headline the release:

  • Avengers Assemble
  • Wakanda Forever
  • The Fantastic Four
  • Doom Prevails

Each deck introduces new-to-Magic cards inspired by Marvel’s heroes and villains while offering ready-to-play experiences straight out of the box. Premium Collector’s Edition Commander Decks will also be available for fans seeking foil-enhanced versions of the experience.

Collectors will have several additional options to choose from, including Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Bundles, Gift Bundles, Scene Boxes, Draft Night kits, Jumpstart Boosters, and Beginner Boxes. Scene Cards allow players to assemble larger panoramic Marvel artwork across multiple cards, while full-art City Calm and City Chaos lands capture both the everyday life and large-scale battles that define the Marvel Universe.

Fans eager to get their hands on the cards early will have several opportunities throughout June. Summer Game Fest attendees can participate in an early play event on June 5, while Commander deck reveals will roll out between June 8 and June 11. The full card image gallery arrives on June 12, followed by prerelease events from June 19 through June 25. The set launches digitally on MTG Arena on June 23 before the worldwide tabletop release on June 26.

With iconic heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, Scarlet Witch, Thor, and countless others joining the battlefield, Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious crossover releases Wizards of the Coast has ever produced. Whether you’re a dedicated Marvel collector, a competitive Magic player, or someone who grew up reading comics, this collaboration looks poised to bring together two passionate fandoms in a way few tabletop releases ever have.
