Balancing Leah and Carmen
One of the most difficult aspects of the performance came from constantly switching between Leah and Carmen’s emotional states while maintaining clarity for the audience.
Garcia explained how important it was to keep both women emotionally believable, even as the story pushes deeper into deception, trauma, and survival.
That balance becomes one of the defining strengths of her performance throughout the series.
