Marvel Studios has officially launched the next countdown to the end of the multiverse.

The all-new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has arrived, giving fans a new look at the highly anticipated Marvel Studios event film before it hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Along with the trailer, Marvel also announced that tickets are now on sale for Infinity Vision certified screens, a new Premium Large Format certification created to give audiences a bigger, brighter, and more immersive theatrical presentation.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday brings together beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they are thrown onto a deadly collision course against an existential threat unlike anything they have faced before.

The Multiverse Heads Toward Doomsday

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has spent years building toward larger threats, bigger crossovers, and increasingly complicated worlds. With Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Studios appears ready to push that scale even further.

The new trailer teases a story built around multiple universes colliding, forcing heroes from different corners of Marvel storytelling into the same fight. That setup immediately raises the stakes, especially with a cast that pulls from across Marvel’s cinematic legacy, recent MCU chapters, and fan-favorite franchises.

For audiences who have been waiting for the next major Avengers event, Doomsday feels designed as a true theatrical moment. It is not just another superhero sequel. It is being positioned as a large-scale Marvel event built around legacy, spectacle, and the kind of crossover storytelling that has defined the biggest chapters of the MCU.

Infinity Vision Tickets Are Now on Sale

Along with the trailer, Marvel Studios launched ticket sales for Infinity Vision certified theaters.

Infinity Vision is a new certification for Premium Large Format screens, promising moviegoers an exceptional presentation with large screens, bright images, and powerful sound. For a film like Avengers: Doomsday, that matters. Marvel is clearly encouraging audiences to experience the film in the biggest format possible, turning the release into a full cinematic event.

The timing also gives fans plenty of runway to secure seats early, especially with Marvel’s biggest titles often generating heavy demand for opening weekend premium formats.

A Massive Marvel Cast

Avengers: Doomsday features one of Marvel Studios’ biggest ensembles yet.

The cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena, and Tenoch Huerta Mejia.

That lineup alone makes the film one of Marvel’s most ambitious theatrical releases. With the Russo Brothers back behind the camera and a cast that brings together different generations of Marvel characters, Doomsday has the potential to become one of the biggest pop culture events of 2026.

The Russo Brothers Return to Avengers Storytelling

Anthony and Joe Russo return to direct after helping shape some of the MCU’s most defining moments. Their previous Marvel work turned ensemble superhero storytelling into massive cinematic events, and their return signals that Avengers: Doomsday is aiming for that same level of scale and emotional impact.

The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, placing it firmly at the center of Marvel Studios’ next major theatrical chapter.
