A Dose Of Colemanism: Apps Running In The Background

Sometimes my phone starts to run slow. Many times when that happens I’ll finish the task I was doing even though the phone is lagging. Eventually, instead of resetting my phone, I’ll just clear the apps running in the background. It’s a simple fix that frees the phone from multitasking overload.

How often are we operating with unneeded apps running in the background? These can be things such as unresolved thoughts, conversation replays, relationship issues and an unorganized task list.

Many of these things run in the background of our minds all day, often becoming overwhelming. This feeling can begin to drain you in life, causing you to perform everyday tasks at a low level. I feel the only way to clear these is by intentionally doing so.

It’s surprising how many people are living their everyday lives overwhelmed. Instead of clearing these thoughts, they find a way to mimic the peace that comes after these thoughts are sorted. Sometimes they do it by false comforting habits that could be harmful if they become a dependent fix.

I try to make a habit of creating time to clear my thoughts, such as driving without music or through meditation or prayer.  It’s a quiet time to process my thoughts.

I challenge you to intentionally create time to process your thoughts, thereby creating your own peace as you witness yourself closing apps running in the background. Doing so allows you to perform at your best.

Just something to think about. I call it a dose of Colemanism.
