A loaded edition of NXT UK will feature a heated collision between newfound rivals A-Kid and Jordan Devlin, a slugfest pitting Tyler Bate and Jack Starz against one another for the coveted NXT UK Heritage Cup, new NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura addressing the NXT UK Universe, and more.
Though they haven’t frequently crossed paths, A-Kid and Devlin seemed to immediately dislike one another during a recent backstage encounter.
A-Kid believes he has handled his loss of the NXT UK Heritage Cup in an appropriate manner, while Devlin has become bitter since losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, and he has vowed to teach Devlin a lesson and make him “respect defeat.”
After scuffling in NXT UK for some time, Starz seems to have discovered a belief in himself and has slowly but surely begun to piece together some wins, picking up a notable singles victory against Ashton Smith and scoring a Mixed Tag Team win over Joseph Conners and Jinny.
His hot streak also impressed Bate, who approached Starz at the gym and offered him an opportunity to challenge for the NXT UK Heritage Cup. After some hesitation and openly wondering if he was ready for such a bout, Starz decided to take up The Big Strong Boi on his offer, setting the stage for what is certain to be a pulse-pounding battle for the trophy.
The world-traveled Satomura has spent her legendary career racking up championships all over the globe, but she was nevertheless reduced to tears when she took the NXT UK Women’s Title from long-reigning champion Kay Lee Ray in a barnburner several weeks ago.
Now, The Final Boss is primed to address the NXT UK Universe and perhaps her potential challenges as well.
Plus, Emilia McKenzie and Isla Dawn will meet in what will be a spirited singles clash, while Aoife Valkyrie is set to tangle with Mila Smidt.
