The most disrespectful thing an athlete in wrestling can do is to attempt to remove the mask of masked wrestler. There is a reason luchadors wear masks, it is their identity. The mask represents everything about who they are and it is also their culture. A perfect career would be one where your face remains hidden behind your mask. We have seen some of the most beautiful and colorful masks in history grace the IMPACT Wrestling ring.
What happened on IMPACT with oVe and Sami Callihan attempting to rip the mask of Fantasma off his face was disgraceful. Luckily for Fantasma, his good friend Pentagon Jr. was on hand was not going to let this transpire.
Pentagon Jr. hit the ring and made sure that the face of Fantasma stayed hidden and protected. As a result of Pentagon getting involved on IMPACT we have a blockbuster Main Event Tag Team Match set for next week. It will be oVe vs. Fantasma & Pentagon Jr. in a match that we can’t wait to see.
