AEW All Out! Everything You Need to Know Before Saturday

August 30, 2019

With All Elite Wrestling’s 4 show “All Out” in Chicago happening Saturday night 8 PM on PPV, B/R Live and Fite TV, everybody is talking about what could happen at the final show before AEW goes to TNT on October 2nd.

The Squared Circle Psychobabble dedicated their entire week of episodes on AEW All Out including talking about the news that PAC will be replacing Jon Moxley against Kenny Omega, which match will be the match of the night and why Chris Jericho needs to be the AEW Champion.

Chris Jericho NEEDS to Be AEW Champion

The main event of All Elite Wrestling All Out is Chris Jericho vs Hangman Page for the first-ever AEW World Heavyweight Championship. While many want Hangman to be crowned the first champion, he might be better off as a chaser when they go on weekly TV then as the champion. Jericho has plenty of accolades including being the first Undisputed WWF Champion when he beat the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night. He won the Intercontinental Championship in both WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling. He has wrestled all over the world. A win for Jericho creates prestige for the championship instantly even if it’s as a part-timer or in the short term.

Cody Rhodes vs Shawn Spears Will Be Match of the Night

I say Rhodes vs Spears, my brother and co-host Ralph says PAC vs Kenny Omega. Either way, this show has a very stacked card. With those two matches and the previously mentioned Jericho vs Hangman being the 3 top of the card matches, this is for sure going to be a show that everyone will talk about for a long time.

While PAC and Kenny Omega are two of the greatest wrestlers today, one can argue that this match can suffer because of the lack of build, short notice, and similarity of styles. One can also argue these two don’t need that. They are the best at what the do and they always deliver.

On the other hand, Cody vs Spears has had the most build and story heading into All Out. Almost every episode of the “Road to All Out” Series has been dedicated to pushing this match. Who will be Cody’s corner? Why did Shawn Spears hit Cody with a chair? Brandi’s promo going after Spears and Tully Blanchard’s involvement. All leads to many unexpected and expected things to happen that can make this match great.

But, many will say Shawn Spears hasn’t proven himself yet. Even when he was known as the “Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger, not a memorable match comes to mind. Sure everyone does the 10 chants anytime someone is getting counted out, but that’s the chant getting over, not Spears/Dillinger. Is this the coming out match for Dillinger?
