August 14, 2019

Last Week on Road to AEW All Out

Brandi Rhodes announced that the Casino Battle Royale will be returning on the Buy-In show of All Out. This time the women will be featured in the match with the winner being in the first AEW Women’s Championship Match.

Who is already announced for the Casino Battle Royale?

Of the 21 participants that will be in the match, only a portion has been announced. We will see Britt Baker, who is the early favorite to win. Also, Nyla Rose, who could use the win after losing each of her first two matches in AEW thus far. Brandi Rhodes has inserted herself in the Battle Royale and Yuka Sakazaki has also been announced as a participant.

Teal Piper, Ivelisse and Jazz Enter The Casino Battle Royale

Teal Piper, daughter of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest heel of all time Rowdy Roddy Piper, will be making her AEW debut at the Casino Battle Royale after it was revealed on the Road to All Out. Not only did she draw a card from Jake “The Snake” Roberts on the episode, but former WWE Tough Enough and Lucha Underground standout Ivelisse was revealed as an entrant. The biggest surprise was Jazz. The former WWE and NWA Women’s Champion drew a card from the deck as she will be in the Casino Battle Royale.

Who Else Could We See?

On this episode of the Squared Circle Psychobabble, Ralph and Michael try to predict who they can see in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale. Some names are obvious predictions being made by members of the Wrestling Community, but some may be a surprise that would be amazing to see.

Tessa Blanchard

This name has been going through the rumor mill as soon as the match was announced. She is the daughter of Tully Blanchard, who is already involved in a match at All Out being Shawn Spears’s manager. She is also the step-daughter of Magnum TA, who happens to be Cody Rhodes’ godfather. So the connections are certainly there. However, she is arguably the biggest star Impact Wrestling has to offer.

Back at Double or Nothing, Brian Cage was reported to be backstage and was supposed to be an entrant in the Casino Battle Royale. However, when Impact Wrestling heard of this, they prevented him from entering as they did not want their newly crowned champion to lose outside the promotion on a big stage like Double or Nothing. This can also happen to Tessa and Impact may prevent her from All Out.

Scarlett Bordeaux

Literally and figuratively the hottest free agent in women’s wrestling, Scarlett Bordeaux was granted her release from Impact Wrestling earlier in 2019. So, it is quite possible the “Smokeshow” can appear in the Casino Battle Royale. Maybe even be the Joker coming in last as a huge surprise entrant.

AJ Lee

Everyone talks about CM Punk, why not AJ Lee? It’s more likely she comes out of retirement for one more match than CM Punk at this point. She lives in Chicago obviously as she is married to Punk. So, travel won’t be an issue. She also said recently in an interview “Never say never”. The one line in the wrestling business that always leads to a return at some point. Why not All Out?
