Chris Jericho Says He Was Supposed To Face Mike Tyson

October 4, 2020

Chris Jericho has stated he was supposed to face ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson at AEW All Out 2. During the latest edition of his Saturday Night Special podcast, Jericho discussed the original plans for his feud with Tyson, and why they ended up falling through.

‘Le Champion’ would make the following comments:

Originally, I was supposed to work with Tyson at the September pay-per-view, All Out 2, and we just couldn’t get it done in time. So, the second match I had with Orange was originally going to be the Mimosa Mayhem but we moved it to the rubber match position.”

While many fans would groan at the prospect of Jericho vs Tyson, there is no denying it would be huge for AEW. Tyson is one of the biggest stars boxing, and sport has ever seen. Having him compete on a AEW PPV against one of the greatest of all time like Jericho, would certainly be a huge draw for a new promotion like AEW.

AEW fans, do you want to see Jericho Vs Tyson?
