In case you have been out of the loop in wrestling news since Thursday, CM Punk was announced to appear at Starrcast on August 31st. The same day as All Elite Wrestling All Out which happens to be the last show before they head to TNT in October. Will he appear at the PPV or is it an appearance for Starrcast?
Seth Rollins Defends WWE Over Criticism
The former WWE Universal Champion continues to defend WWE over the criticisms brought on by the wrestling community. Recently saying that making fun of WWE and bashing the product is the “cool thing to do”. Does he have a point?
Jon Moxley and KENTA lead their blocks in the NJPW G1 Climax
Going into this year’s G1 Climax, many predicted that either Kota Ibushi or Will Ospreay would represent the A-Block and Tetsuya Naito would represent the B-Block. With the storyline being told that Naito wants to be a double champ, it would make sense that he would be this year’s winner and face IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada to main event Wrestle Kingdom 14.
However, after 4 A-Block Matches and 3 B-Block Matches, the two former WWE independent contractors are leading their respective blocks. KENTA is tied with the IWGP Heavyweight Champion Okada with a perfect 8 point thus far. Meanwhile, Moxley stands alone with a perfect 6 points after defeating Tomohiro Ishii in his latest matchup breaking a three-way tie with Ishii and Juice Robinson in the standings. Could we see one, if not, both in the G1 Climax Finals?
