Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that although the match was cancelled, there is a possibility of it taking place in the future. Here is what he said:
“There’s a possibility that they’ll still do it. It’s one of those things that goes back and forth. Before it was they’ll never do intergender, well, they’re not so hard and fast on never doing it now. They could do it. That match could still happen. It was gonna happen and now they’ve changed their mind and now it’s not going to happen. That doesn’t mean that they can’t change their mind again and do it somewhere else some other time.”
We will have to wait and see when that match takes place.
