Fusion ALPHA Recap: Tajiri Defends World Middleweight Title In AJPW

December 18, 2021

On this week’s episode of MLW Fusion ALPHA (presented by www.newlawoffice.com) there’s a sense of uneasiness amongst MLW as Cesar Duran has sunk his talons into the company as matchmaker. What does he as the string-puller aim to control?

Konnan and 5150 clapped back at Los Parks because according to K-Dawg, Los Parks were nervous. They were confident. From here on out, they want the biggest and best at tag team wrestling. Slice Boogie states they left the lifestyle of a gangster. Very few leave the game and become the World Tag Team F’n Champions! They told you it would happen and it happened. Danny Limelight Rivera says they’re about to pop some more Hennessey. They learned from all the gangster movies. Unlike a Scarface or Godfather, they learn to stay on top. Nobody ain’t doing damn about it.

Fusion may be about to turn into a horror show as Holidead makes her way to the ring for the opening bout.

MATCH 1
Holidead (with Dr. Dax) vs. Willow Nightingale

Holidead comes out with Dax, but Willow brought Da Blue Guy himself in The Blue Meanie!

Willow starts off with the offense and Holidead tries to slow that momentum with a sidewalk slam. Willow, however, stays focused and gets a near fall with a running senton. Willow gets a near fall, but Holidead suplexes Willow and begins to keep her opponent grounded. Holidead walks over and smacks Dr. Dax. She even tries to instigate Meanie. Holidead nails a guillotine leg drop on Willow. Holidead covers: two count. Willow reverses Holidead for several clotheslines. Splash to Holidead in the corner sets her up for a shotgun dropkick. Dr. Dax breaks his chain and hops on the apron. Willow boots him down!

Matters get manic as both women collide into the referee in the corner. Holidead sicks Dax on Nightingale and her pet begins choking her with the chain. Meanie plays interference and the unlikely duo get the two in the ring for a set of dancing elbows!

Holidead had one more strange ace up her sleeve as Arez leaps off the top to dropkick Meanie! Holidead nails Willow with a double Underhook driver for the 1-2-3!

WINNER: Holidead

We see Cesar Duran on the phone, but is interrupted by the new Tag Team Champions. Duran stops their celebration to JOIN IN on the celebration. “Pour one out for El Jefe.” Duran makes note that the champs will be going to Mexico. Konnan wants to celebrate further. Duran reaches in his coat pocket (“is he strapped?”) and slyly pulls out a deck of playing cards to continue the party.

We see the Von Erichs as Marshall is playing PAC-MAN when Ross reveals that they have the Tag Title contract in their hands! Time to get to training!

MATCH 2
Homicide vs. LA Park

We see classic footage of Homicide and LA Park both as they made their MLW debuts over 17 years ago!

Homicide is the first to start off hot as he dives onto LA Park through the ropes!

Homicide takes a little too long to measure up LA Park and the chairman catches him for a headbutt and running knee! LA Park fires back with a dive onto the outside of his own. Homicide gets some momentum back with a exploder suplex. He gets a two count! LA Park hits Homicide with a lariat and then another massive running knee for a two count! Homicide slows him down with a dropkick to the knee and a neckbreaker. Two count! He hits the Gringo Cutter: 1-2-no!

Homicide goes for a high-risk attempt with a tornado DDT but LA Park flings him off, spears him and covers: 1-2-3!

WINNER: LA Park

Some scary news after last week. NZO rammed KC Navarro into a ring post and reports are that he suffered a clean fracture in his neck! More updates to come after NZO’s vicious attack.

We see EJ Nduka. He talks about his background and how his success in football showed him humility and perseverence. He made Dean’s List while at Sam Houston and he is an across-the-board athlete and scholar.

MLW takes time to honor long-tenured camera man, Charle Bruzzese. They put a banner up in the 2300 Arena!

Calvin Tankman was put under arrest after he hit Mr. Thomas. Alex Kane makes clear that they enlisted the services of Stephen P. New and Tankman is trouble. All Tank will be hearing is “BOMAYE! BOMAYE! BOOMAYE!”

Emilio Sparks is on the phone with Tank. He’s been stuck in Philly for hours and days. They can do whatever they want, but they gave Heavyweight Hustle time to think about it. He’s going to put hands on them both. Tankman gets word that he’s going to get out of here sooner than expected. Tank may have someone helping him with bail.

Duran continues his stroll before Alex Hammerstone grabs hold of him. He makes it crystal clear that Duran made a big mistake sending his brother after him and warns him to not do such a thing again or there will be hell to pay.
