In recent weeks, TJP has become a major nemesis for The Lucha House Party. Showing the ultimate sign of disrespect, The Cruisergreat has stolen each of their masks and wears them to the ring like a badge of honor. He has also forged an alliance with Maria and Mike Kanellis, and they are determined to seize every opportunity to make life miserable for Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik.
However, the lucha trio has been on a tear in recent weeks, making their debut on Raw as well as competing in the 10-on-10 Tag Team Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Two weeks ago, Kalisto and Lince Dorado picked up a victory against TJP and Mike Kanellis, even outsmarting the first-ever Cruiserweight Champion when he tried to steal The Golden Lynx’s mask.
After picking up an impressive victory last week, The Lucha House Party were confronted by Maria Kanellis, who informed them that TJP would battle Gran Metalik this coming Wednesday. The highly anticipated bout was slated for earlier this month, but The Cruisergreat refused a match against Metalik, citing his victory in the finals of Cruiserweight Classic as why he didn’t need to face the luchador again.
