Jon Moxley Loses Two Straight with Two Matches Left
Jon Moxley started his first G1 Climax appearance with 5 straight wins with impressive wins over Tetsuya Naito and Tomohiro Ishii. However, his last two matches stricken with shenanigans have cost Moxley a count-out loss to Toru Yano and pinfall to Switchblade Jay White. While the “Death Rider” still has a 2-pt lead with 2 matches left, his likelihood of representing the B Block in the G1 B Block has severely diminished.

His next opponent is Hirooki Goto, who needs a win to stay alive in the tournament. A Moxley loss means that Goto, Naito, Ishii and the winner of Jay White vs Juice Robinson will stay alive heading into Sunday night with wins Thursday.

Kazuchika Okada’s first G1 Climax 29 loss opens the door for Ibushi and EVIL
With a win over Sanada, the reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion would have been a win away from clinching the A Block. But with 12 seconds left before a time-limit draw, SANADA landed a moonsault and got the pin giving Okada’s first loss in the tournament.
Now, Kazuchika Okada MUST win out in order to win the A Block. His final two opponents are the only two still alive. Okada first has EVIL, who is currently sitting on 8 points. But if he manages to win out and Okada and Ibushi both finish with 12 points, EVIL will win the tiebreaker having already defeated Ibushi earlier in the tournament.
After that, Okada will face Kota Ibushi is just behind him with 10 points. If Ibushi is able to defeat Zack Sabre Jr in his next match, then Okada vs Ibushi will decide the A Block.
