IMPACT Festive Celebrations: This Week In IMPACT History

Across the 16 and a half year history of IMPACT Wrestling there have been countless memorable matches and moments. Every week here on IMPACTWrestling.com we’ll take you on a trip down memory lane to revisit some of the anniversaries of them.

December 17 – On the NWA-TNA #75, TNA finished 2003 with a big cage match between Raven’s Gathering of himself, CM Punk and Julio Dinero against the team of The Monster” Abyss and The Red Shirt Security acting at the behest of Don Callis.

In 2004, Jeff Jarrett defeated Hector Garza on IMPACT while Jeff Hardy battled Bobby Roode. Dustin Rhodes also made his return to IMPACT.

December 18 – On the NWA-TNA PPV #26 in 2002, The Road Warriors made their debut as they demolished Sports Entertainment Xtreme.

December 19 – Magnus defeated Jeff Hardy in the Dixieland match in order to capture the IMPACT World Championship for the first time in his career at the Final Resolution 2013 television special.

December 20 – Final Resolution 2009 took place, headlined by AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels for the World Championship – the event also featured Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe in a Three Degrees of Pain match plus the dream team of Abyss and Mick Foley vs. Raven and Doctor Stevie!

The now infamous December 20th, 2007 episode of IMPACT took place featuring all sorts of festive chicanery including the Silent Night Bloody Night barbed wire Christmas tree match.
