Shane Taylor ended 2020 by defeating one of ROH’s all-time greats, and he began 2021 the same way.
After defeating two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe at Final Battle in December, Taylor pinned two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal in a six-man tag match pitting Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor and The Soldiers of Savagery) against The Foundation (Lethal, Jonathan Gresham and Tracy Williams) on the Jan. 23 episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.”
The undisputed No. 1 contender for the ROH World Title, Taylor is at the very top of his game as he prepares for his shot against World Champion RUSH, which is scheduled to take place in the near future.
Don’t be surprised if Taylor makes good on his declaration of being “the baddest champ you’ve ever seen.” Or maybe even the baddest double champ.
In addition to Taylor’s upcoming match against RUSH, he and SOS are owed a shot at ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions MexiSquad (Bandido, Flamita and Rey Horus).
