s has been reported previously, Johnny Gargano is nearing the end of his contract with the WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract was said to expire in early December. Johnny is yet to sign a new contract with the company. We reported earlier this week that the company was pushing hard to get him to resign.
On the latest episode of NXT, the members of the WarGames match were announced. The WarGames PPV event will take place on December 5th. Johnny Gargano will be teaming with the following “old school” NXT members: Pete Dunne, Tomasso Ciampa, and LA Knight. They will face the “new school” NXT members: Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Grayson Waller, and Tony D’Angelo.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that “Johnny Gargano has agreed to a one-week extension of his original deal, that will carry him through NXT War Games. Instead of December 3, Gargano’s deal now ends on December 10.”
Sean also noted that “WWE spoke highly of Gargano being willing to extend his deal when he’ll likely have other suitors angling for his services.”
It will be interesting to see how the WarGames match plays out, along with a possible match on the NXT show after.
