On April 20th at Redemption a travesty unfolded. Konnan was taken out before LAX defended their World Tag Team Titles against Eli Drake and Scott Steiner. As a result of LAX not knowing what happened to their leader, their heads not being in the match and thinking of every different scenario… LAX lost their titles.
Following Redemption, there was no question that LAX were distraught, they cared less about losing their gold then they did about their fallen leader, Konnan. No one blamed Santana and Ortiz for caring about Konnan and his well being. However, no one was talking. NO ONE. Konnan was in a hospital bed, no visitors allowed and the downward spiral continued for LAX. They just couldn’t win a match. Their hearts just weren’t there. LAX, for the first time ever, were vulnerable.
Enter King. King found his way back to LAX, back into the Clubhouse and into the corner of Santana and Ortiz. While Diamante seemed skeptical, the results changed immediately. LAX were winning matches. The Clubhouse was back to life, the expensive tequila and girls with expensive tastes returned. King promised to find out what happened to Konnan and Santana and Ortiz felt protected.
King even got his guys a chance at The World Tag Team Titles, now around the waists of Z&E. In the end, LAX had their titles back! Now 3x World Tag Team Champions.
In life, where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Konnan says he has proof and will tell everyone what that proof is this coming Thursday night. Should King be worried? What are Santana and Ortiz thinking? This is shaping up to be a can’t miss Thursday night. Konnan is back and he has been eyeing King for the past couple of weeks. We can’t wait to see how this ends!
