NXT TV To Alternate Between Live And Taped Episodes On USA Network?

August 19, 2019

WWE is slated to make a “historic” announcement tonight on RAW, but thanks to Chris Jericho’s spoiler reveal on this morning’s episode of Busted Open Radio, it looks like NXT will be moving to the USA Network and that it will be a 2 hour show. The start date for the program has not been revealed but it is believed that it will begin airing before AEW’s Oct. 2nd start date on TNT. However, it’s expected that all questions will be answered tonight on RAW when the announcement is made.

NXT’s move to the USA Network was discussed on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live and Bryan Alvarez reported that he was told things which lead him to believe that WWE will be alternating between live and taped episodes of NXT TV.

“The fact that they’e doing it [tonight] probably tells me that they already have a start date and the start date is probably going to be before AEW starts on TNT.”

“So, we’re all gonna know during RAW, but the fact of the matter is it looks to be NXT two hours on the USA Network.”

“Now, based on other things that we were told, I think — now Dave does not believe this — but I think they’re going to be doing an every other week schedule. I think they’re going to be going live and the following week taped, they’ll go live and the following week taped. Now, if they do taped shows and they get obliterated or they get beaten by AEW they’ll be going live every week.”

“Hunter told people things that gave me the impression that they’re going to be going live every other week and taping right after the live show or something like that.”

We will have to see what happens to night, but it looks like we can expect to see two hours of NXT TV on the USA Network every Wednesday night beginning next month.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about NXT’s move to the USA Network, or plans for the broadcast.
