WWE needed to make some big changes and for that reason, they brought Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman as Executive Directors of SmackDown Live and Raw respectively. How big a difference that will make is still uncertain.
According to a report by Fightful Select, a source revealed that WWE’s condition is so bad that it could not get worse. This says a lot about the company and change is definitely needed. However, with Vince McMahon still having the last say in everything that goes on in the company, the changes might just be superficial at best.
One said things “couldn’t be worse” than they are right now, and another noted “Vince is still in charge, so that should tell you everything.”
So the new roles for Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman might ultimately not make much of a difference at all. However, we do hope WWE improves its product eventually.
